white america's worst nightmare He was a freaking apprentice. He did not have any previous pirate experience at all, he might have been strong but no where near the higher ups like commanders.
If I had to guess, he probably wasn't THAT strong compared to OP's top tiers. He and the rest of his crew were apparently defeated by a Garp and Roger who were also apparently not in their prime. We also know that characters like Whitebeard, Big Mom, Kaido, etc didn't start hitting their peak until years later. I think the danger that Xebec himself posed was that he was malevolent AND crew would eventually become MUCH stronger. A crew with someone like Prime Big Mom, Prime Whitebeard, Prime Kaido, Prime Captain John, Prime Shiki and potentially several high tier pirates (possibly including the pirates that would one day be imprisoned in Impel Down level 6) would have been absolutely ridiculous.

Teros nahh Kaido has always been strong Atleast strong enough to fight both white beard and Big mom especially big mom because even as a child she was monster so no Kaido was a monster Devi fruit or not otherwise he would have never been on the crew

malik mcclain this is Prime Rodger. Figures in One Piece reach their prime in their 50s and start declining in their late 60s to early 70s. The doctor even said that it wasn’t effecting his strength at all. Does them not touching also mean that they are stronger than everybody else? How do we know that Big Mom and Kaido can’t do the same thing, and what does it matter if they aren’t touching when both clashes generated the same amount of destruction.
When Sengoku states his “greatest foe” to me that is more of an actual enemy. Sure Whitebeardsama and Gol D were rivals but I’m not sure if you would necessarily call Whitebeard a “foe” to Gol D Roger. Also did his doctor say that his sickness isn’t affecting his strength?

I lost sight of all the countless statements that did indeed confirm:
- Roger/Primebeard >~Yonkou/Admirals
An Old, sick, dying, out of his prime Whitebeard was worthy of the yonkou title AND even made it questionable whether he was the strongest individual with his sickness.
Admirals fans so far seem to accept this, but especially the yonkou fandom can't get over them being inferior to these two legends.

the fact that you always expect fights is not a flaw in one piece but on every other shonen, the fights themselves arent important, the fact that those people/groups fought are, and the result as well, and we see both those stuff, either way we will probably eventually see roger fighting all out in some flashbacks since there should still be a couple more related to him, and for example in this flashback they use high level haki, which hasn't been completely explained yet so yeah another reason to wait

King, my only thought on Whitebeard and his Devil Fruit proficiency is that after the Roger fight, he crwates the divisions in his crew to expand influence, so "Maybe" he does the stances to be a visual cue to his crew what attack he's about to do, almost like catchers and pitchers in baseball with hands signs for choosing which pitch to use.

It seems like the lightning-like Haki is Conqueror's Haki, we only get the whole lighting shock wave going on when 2 people with Conqueror's clash with each other.

The flashbacks are largely taking place through the perspective of Oden. It’s implied he fought Rayleigh and Gaban during the fight which means he wouldn’t be focused on Roger.
Ben Hakim Roger’s top two fighters were Silvers Rayleigh ( who we all know) and Scopper Gaban ( axe dude who was ready to fight oden 2v1 with Rayleigh).

Crocus already said in Chapter 0 that Roger, while sick, was in great shape. His sickness was never indicated to affect his strength during those times unlike, literally, anybody else that is strong and sick in the story.
It makes no sense for Roger to be stronger 39 years before the story than after 13-15 years on the sea.
Stage 2 of armaments haki is something that can be used with sword bcz the old man who thought luffy about it said that “people use it to cover their fists or swords”

Speaking of "Bring me someone like Sengoku or Garp". We're always talking about Prime Garp, where's the love for Prime Sengoku? :( Oda please give Sengoku some more juice, I wanna see Prime Sengoku use his Buddha DF to it's full extent. If Roger puts Sengoku in the same sentence, with the context of fighting them, I'm curious how Prime Sengoku would do against Roger, Whitebeard or Garp.
Probably on the same tier but losing to the rest of them. He was known more so for being a strategist rather than a fighter after all.
Sengoku isn't touted as much because he isn't the "Hero of the Marines". Not like it matters since Sengoku chose to rise through the ranks all the way to Fleet Admiral before retiring.

What if the lightning arcing off their blades was Roger and whitebeard also channelling conquerors haki along with armament. It's been shown before when conquerors haki users clash black lightning start arcing everywhere
What did we learn? Nothing. We learned nothing of value we just got visual Confirmation that Roger can fight WB evenly.
Despite Roger's condition, he one shot Chaden and clashed with WB. With a smile! 😁
For this reason alone is why a dying WB never gave up, and seeing luffy reminded him why he should never give up. He knew ace was Roger's son which made him jump to the rescue. It's obvious it wasnt gonna be spoken of it's up to the reader to fill in the blanks.

stage one and stage 2 are the same. darkening effect is just used to indicate that one is using haki without explaining. During the Marineford war they keep explaining which one uses haki.

At 4:34 remember when Blackbeard laughing, in the manga, showed the whole island shaking but in the anime they showed differently, I wouldn’t be surprised if was the same thing with whitebeard. I doubt him getting angry alone did that to the seas.

Roger's sickness only affected his health, not his strength, at least, not in the same way that Whitebeard's sickness affected his. Also, Sengoku was right in saying that Rocks is Roger's greatest foe but it was not just because of his power but because of the crew that Rock's had formed.
I disagree on what you said about his health. If you're not health, you're not gonna be at top physical strength. But with the second part with Rocks, I'm not sure. I can see it going both way, 1) how you said it or 2), that Rocks is strong by himself cause of his strength along

Roger and Whitebeard were definitely weakened by their illnesses. Kinda hard to move when you can't breathe. We saw Whitebeard struggling with his illness before he died.

The Roger pirates fought the Whitebeard pirates to a stalemate after 3 days of fighting. Roger had the stronger crew, while Whitebeard had Vista, Marco and Jozu, and those 3 were all lads and probably so weak to even reach Yonkou commanders' level. And YET, the Roger pirates couldn't defeat them! Even though Roger had legends like Scopper and Raiyleigh on his side, so this proves that Roger wasn't supreme to Whitebeard. In fact, it only highlights the possibility that Whitebeard was just as strong as Roger, or even stronger!
