I lived in Nevada ranching country for many years. I paint high desert landscapes a lot, so these western paintings are my absolute favorites. Thank you so much Dave!
I love cowboy paintings.sell desert scenes to tourists in pahrump nv ( death valley. ) David s ideas are great 🥰 jim
So far following and listening to your process has been very informative. Westerns are a really neat subject . Love the history of your horse! Thanks for doing this project.
I am really enjoying this. Even though I may never paint a Western, I am finding this lesson so interesting. I am also learning so much from your running commentary. All the best teachers communicate with their pupils, so thank you, Dave, you're the best!
Looking forward to seeing the next episode.
David, aside from enjoying your excellent work, I love your videos because of how you communicate. You have a special way of engaging your viewers. I also appreciate the variety of subjects you paint. Thank you!
Hi David, yes, you're right, it's about time for a new western painting! I love them and will enjoy watching the video. Thanks a lot❤❤❤
I love your western paintings and look forward to them. Yes, I would love to see more. Thank you for sharing them on UA-cam.
I love the Westerns, landscapes and, wildlife portraits.
Yes, I like seeing all the steps
Thank you so much for this! P.S. I love watching your westerns!
Awesome! I l8ve westerns!!!! So much going on in them.
I like watching the whole painting progress.
Yesssir! More painting! Love your instructions. Keep cool💜
Love your painting and really enjoy your great teaching as you work
So beautiful and realistic, thank you for sharing.👍
I'm loving the westerns! Not in my wheelhouse...yet. Can't wait for the next!
I learn more from the Westerns than any other genre. Where else can you practice perspective, landscape, rocks, trees, foliage, water, mist, figures, wildlife and domestic animals in one painting? Please don’t stop them. Any serious student will realize they are invaluable!
I'm excited to paint this🙂
I love these thankyou
I like the continuous painting. It helps to see your solving value changes ( like the dog against the distant ground) One of my challenge areas. I have an old photo of of my dad, uncle, and cousin riding horses in their indian headdresses.. unfortunatly they're riding away from the camera.. ( a black and white photo) Maybe I'll tackle it . I also think you learn from different styles and subjects. I hated still life until I painted with your pears. Totally clicked on how to add color within the pears, Thanks!!!!!

I wonder why none of our art class teachers told us about the upsides of acrylics? They just said they're non-toxic but oils are superior, when clearly that's more of a preference thing.
David have you painted any native American scenes?
