    Love the smooth translation for "Andan en chinga los meseros" to "The waiters are running like crazy" lol
    bastante comicas las traducciones, ninguna mala palabra llega a los subtitulos en Ingles, si alguien los lee pensaria que el tipo es muy correcto cuando de hecho tiene un humor y un lexico que hace de esta serie un exito por sus mexicanismos, en mi opinion.

    • @joseg.castaneda8991
      @joseg.castaneda8991 4 роки тому +3

      @thomas samson the word chinga litteraly translates to "fuck", which in spanish has probably dozens of interpretations depending on the tone and manner, it can be good, bad, firendly, agressive, who knows.... but in this case it's hard to figure out a literal translation since there are not other accompanying words with "chinga", the closest I'd say it translates to, "The waitress are in fucking rush", this guy curses like few Mexicans I've known, but he's a really good host, funny how Vice never translates his cursing into the english equivalents, they always water down the translation and use non-offensive words in the subs.

    Growing up around this culture & seeing a bunch of taqueros & taquerias selling their tacos like this seemed normal to me, but once I look at the bigger picture I can appreciate my culture more bc it’s unique & no one else prepares tacos this way. Like he said, tacos al pastor will cure anything & it’s like our version of a cheeseburger at McDonalds, BUT BETTER. I’m happy to see that Munchies is spreading more cultural foods. Tacos al pastor are the shit & that’s a way to ANY latinas heart.

      Heriberto Ramos yea the method of cooking on a spit is what Mexicans took from the Lebanese immigrants. But al pastor is different from their meat. It’s prepared with pork and with a specific marinade. They don’t eat meat prepared with ancho chilies or anything like that.

    When I was a kid, we lived in Tepic, Nayarit for more than a year. 1989, year of the fifa world cup. I can clearly remember all those amazing dishes we had at different stalls and restaurants. My dad worked as agronomist, so we visited the rural areas quite often. I tasted all the REAL home made stuff, pozole, tamales, chilaquiles served with friholes nefritos, sope, and many others. Mexican cuisine is so colorful, I miss it so much! My parents didn't let me to eat ceviche because of the risk of infection. I stole it from the table sometimes haha!

    Qué rico se ve eso como extraño mi México querido Yo soy de Monterrey Nuevo León México hay también se venden y eso riquísimos pero aquí en Houston nosotros nacer y no es igual para nada ya me hicieron llorar en el día de las madres que malos que les aprovecha y que Dios bendiga a todos los taqueros del mundo

      Yo también soy de Monterrey y vivo en Francia, aquí está peor, no hay tortillas decentes en ningún lado, encontrar chiles picantes es un poco difícil y las papitas picantes como los takis y eso practicamente no existen! Todavía en Houston debe ser más sencillo encontrar varias cosas así

      Alexis Ortega En el sureste en un ciudad que se llama Grenoble, la verdad depende de muchas cosas y en muchos casos la gente que vive bien en México estaría más feliz quedándose allá que viniendo acá porque aunque ganas más dinero acá la vida es más cara y termina siendo lo mismo..
      Dicho eso, venir a estudiar aqui, a conocer gente de muchos lados, viajar e ir a festivales de música vale mucho la pena, pero vale la pena investigar un poco y analizar tu situación en el país donde estas antes de decir que serías más feliz viviendo acá (mucha gente en Latinoamérica cree que viviendo en Europa automáticamente los hará mejores o más felices)

      @@sofisa11 no i think it is different, our marinate is a yoghurt blend with garlic coriander powder, cumin and lemon.. But we put the shawarma In the grill the same way they do it in the video! And we cut the meat and put it onto the khubz(flat bread) the same way. Tho for sauce we had something called tahina. You should try if you haven't it's amazing
