Michelin award of any kind for this type of operation is a major shift, and can only mean great things for the future. So happy these small operations creating amazing food are getting the credit they have long deserved. More power to you all!
Tacos have become the modern day lobster. They used to be an affordable bite for the poor working class and now that they're mainstream, they've been gentrified to the point that tacos can be worth as much as $6. I'm glad my culture is getting this kind of recognition, but paying $4-$6 for a taco is wack.
At least the people making these tacos are still coming from the heart and love for their culture. They deserve success.
I think there is space for the $2 street taco and the $8 Michelin-recognized taco in the culinary landscape. They can be mutually inclusive.
@@bryanflo4500 I agree, but inflation is also driving prices up.
@@j.armand1363 yes and no, inflation is causing the prices to come up, not the fact that they are mainstream. Tacos have always been mainstream, mexican food is just getting more recognized as a culinary art. I live in SoCal, i can find $1.50 or $2.00 tacos anywhere... but i will spend $6 on a bomb taco with prime meats or seafood if i want to treat myself. They both have their place in the world.
awesome to see these family run businesses get the credit and recognition they deserve for working hard and making the best tacos you can find!
Let's keep bringing back Todos Los Tacos please. Long overdue a new episode.
Damn those blue tortillas look fire!!!
When I was a kid, I would accompany my dad to the Grand Central Market. There was tortilla spot that made fresh tortillas every time I would pass by or just stand at the front while my dad bought his lottery ticket. It was always mesmerizing to see that conveyor belt spit out the round colors from that cookie cutter. It's no longer there but instead it's a liquor store of some sort but that memory is embedded in this Angeleno
Villa Tacos has come a long way from working out from their home to then hitting the streets on York Blvd in highland park to getting their store front to becoming Michelin rated…
Heck yea! i remember i visited when i saw them on netflix Taco Chronicles. amazing to see how much he has grown
Me da mucho gusto ver a Francisco en cada uno de estos vídeos
Saludos desde Querétaro

Victor! Best taquero in L.A!! Pound for pound! 😉
After seeing Mike Chen's episode with Villa Taco, that place went to the top of places I need to visit my next time in the Mother Land.
I remember when they used to sell from their house. Definitely a top tier taco. Worth it
SHOUT-OUT TACOS LA CARRETA!!! El Gran Orgullo De Ser Se Mazatlan!!!!

Felicidades, hermano. Saludos desde Brooklyn, Nueva York. We could use your great tacos out here. Not everyone can make traditional tacos. Food trucks are a hit or miss. Continued success.
I fucking love the Taco Culture in So Cal. Props to Long Beach!
Went to Villas Tacos today. It was great. That dude emanates positive energy and it comes through in the tacos.
Only problem is his tacos are overpriced
@@bear2507 Have you seen his company's P&L? Highly unlikely, so you probably have no idea what you're actually talking about.
Why does Mexican food HAVE to be cheap? If they're producing and performing at Michelin standards, then they have EVERY right to charge, and therefore pay their staff, accordingly.
Even the "lowest" tier hole in the wall restaurant operates with razor thin margins, out of necessity, part of that is due to the public at large practically demanding that good quality meals, and the service and labor that provides them, be grown on trees for free.
Just because someone owns and operates (which is not the norm) a successful restaurant does NOT by ANY means automatically make them a millionaire that's gouging their customers that they ACTUALLY GIVE A SHIT ABOUT and laughing all the way to the bank while doing it.
Quite the opposite, unfortunately. Times are tough for everyone. Please remember to be kind.
@@bear2507if the tacos are worth I ok with the price
Is the place busy?
@@dpclerks09.....you "weedie weedie" too much. His 🌮 tacos ARE OVER PRICED. Period.
This place is hyped AF and I'm dying to try it
Wohoo! Tacos madness?!?! I would totally be there🌮🌮🌮
the spanglish was hard on this one ... love it!
In Los Angeles, tacos aren't merely meals; they're expressions of art and competitive sport. The city offers a unique harmony of old recipes and fresh perspectives, creating a culinary landscape brimming with flavor. Here, tortillas aren't just containers for fillings; they become canvases where flavors mingle in perfect union. To understand LA's taco scene is to understand what makes the city itself so singularly special. We don't just consume these delicious creations; we live them! 🌮
they mainly are a staple in Mexican households, dating back to Nahua/Aztec civilizations of our Indigenous ancestors. we eat tacos every day, moreso tortillas. not just an "LA scene" thing. it is one of the main essence of our meals morning, lunch and dinner.
Oh brother
That’s some Silverlake shit to say
Villas tacos, are pretty good. The owner himself, works there and greets everyone with a smile on his face, including everyone else. If you’re thinking of visiting, don’t hesitate and give it a try.
If those are pretty good, what would u consider the best?
Lmao seeing Eric in the back working with victor priceless 😂
wow. hell yessssss
Def gonna try
Damn dude. Those tacos look incredible.
Saludos desde Puebla York

Great content. Greetings from Rome Italy
Hispanic restaurants have absolutely some of the best food in Los Angeles, these recipes are amazing. ❤
No sé si amo u odio estos videos, término con un chingo de hambre y sed peligrosa jajajaja
I like this guy
Where do you get that Taqueria Diaz hat at?!?
Love this host
I'm hungry for tacos and margaritas!
Horrible idea watching this before sleeping, I’m so hungry
Congrats villa tacos on your 3rd win !
That was a lot of stuff in that taco
The next time go to "Gracias Señor" one of the best tacos in LA. Usually in Palisades. Everybody is wellcome!!! 🌮🌮🌮
I love how much better his English has gotten! Seeing the progress from the 1st season of todos los tacos to now is great! Goof shit perro!
Going a little off course is the best thing one can do. Everyone thinks to be a taquero and successful taqueria to have to follow the same formula 99.9% of taquerias do but it’s the 1% who don’t corner themselves and choose to do their own thing that get recognized.
yummy
🤤 I’m hungry 🌮
Pacooooo
"for our asada, we use ranchera" that first guy didn't grow up in Mexico, is obvious because that phrase doesn't make sense at all, he probably meant that for the carne asada they use Arrachera, a meat cut, not ranchera, saying ranchera doesn't make sense within that statement.
@ Vice.. go to the corner of Florence and Mountain View. Show the hustle and struggle of some real LA street vendors.
I cried when he said they use Monterrey Jack, american cheeses are too sweet for mexican food, they should use oaxaca, asadero, chihuahua etc.
many places in mexico use monterrey jack though for quesabirria
@@heliosf2080 What if a told you quesabirria is not a common dish in most mexico.
@@Frank1e.b0i what if i told you that mexican food goes by region and not an entire country
@@heliosf2080 Tell me more, I’m a Mexican who lives in México and have been to many states and tried their food.
@@Frank1e.b0i If you're from Mexico you know that most states are different lol. Mexican food varies from region to region. People won't know about ahi tuna tostadas in chiapas but it is very common in sinaloa or baja california. quesabirria is popular in tijuana
Marco Pirre White gave away his Michelin stars.
awebo taoo placero

Won’t find them anywhere else? I’ve been eating tacos like this since I was a kid.
Totally
I’m confusing this show with tacos con todo lol
Lo mejor de la comida mexicana
How much for the 3 street tacos like shown?
We dont have any good Mexican Taco’s here in Sydney Australia! If only just one good cook came here to start up a restaurant or food truck... you’d make a killing!
Hold up esperda there is a taco competition? Why i only just learn this in my lifetime? I need to know more about this competition and when so I know where to spend my money

I live in OR we will never see this bomb ass food here 😢
ima start saying avocaado like that
2:30 🤨🤨🤨🤨
No dices donde están tacos villa.

😮😂
Literally every taco tastes the same to me lol
No Sabo 😂😂😂😂
The dude said: "You won't find tacos like this anywhere else." ...but my grandma makes them literally the same way and has been for the last 90 years of her life.
Ill never fully understand why anyone holds the opinion of a tire company in such high regard. Thats like a logging company awarding a bakery for excellent spatula usage.
And an Irish beer company is responsible for all the world records. Sometimes stuff just doesn't make sense.
If the bakery used timber to fire their ovens and the spatula company used charcoal from the timber company to forge its steel maybe.
Michelin wanted to sell more tires, what a better way to get people to use them than suggesting they drive to another city to try some good food.
@@ScruffyNerfhurder shit you're right! I forgot about Guinness. Shits all bonkers!
It started as a guide for truckers to know where they can stop to have good food (tires and trucks are related, right?), and for some reason, rich and snob people started to go to the restaurants recomended in the guide.
Also the Guinness records thing started as a way to solve trivia discussions between bar patrons. The idea was for every bar to have a book published by Guinness.
These are REAL Mexican tacos. None of that TexMex shit they sell in Texas lol
CaCao Mexicatessen in Eagle Rock *are the best tacos EVER*
