One question. In all the K6 Pro Reviews so far it looks like only the keyboard is lit but not the caps. In pics and videos of the K6 the caps are lit. My son would like to get a K6 Pro for christmas. Though he already put custom caps on his list as well. Does it depend on buying the right caps if you want them to be lit as well? Hopefully i put my issue the right way, since english ain't my mother tongue. Feedback is appreciated.
I received my Keychron K6 Pro from the Kickstarter and was semi pleased. Some issues I encountered: 1. One of the keycaps had a broken stem (the plastic was completely shattered). 2. The aluminum slides have a slight gap that squeaks on the long side when picking up the keyboard, and the corners do not line up where the long and short slides meet, I've tried to reseat them and even switching sides to see if any difference, to no avail. These are slight QC issues I don't care about but wanted to state. Now to the issues that does annoy me: 1. The keyboard is advertised as being able to have N-Key rollover. The keyboard does not have N-Key rollover! Limit to only 6 keys, and then it stops registering keys. This is both in Bluetooth and wired mode. Why? 2. The "hot swap" sockets used is the worst I've ever encountered, taking out the included Keychron Brown Pro switches was a battle to the point where most of the switches got damaged pulling them out. The switches were so stuck in these sockets I first thought it was the switch housing that was a problem where you unhook them, but after switching out to some other switches and back, the newly inserted switches were equally stuck! I later inspected the sockets, and it seems that the metal that contacts and holds the switches are not equal on each switch, they look "twisted" and by that they "hook" the switches stuck. On most hot swap sockets the switches will go in and out without any issues, so the sockets used are 100% the issue here, not sure if I was really unlucky with my unit. To say the least, the Keychron Brown Pro switches are great and no issues on them, can recommend these for use, really stable switches with smooth tactile actuation. If these issues were not there, this keyboard would be 100% complete in my book. Was I just unlucky with the Kickstarter purchase or is this the same for all batches?
I’m strongly considering buying this keyboard. I need to know what type of keycaps I can use instead of the stock. Is it any cherry MX compatible keycaps?
Which switch is best red or brown, because I am bit worry about before buy I got two option about keychron k6 pro of switch and combo set ? Does combo set, like red switch with plam reset or only red switch is way better? Which one u think is best of overall?
for stock keycap i find using linear switch give a better typing experience overall. i can type faster and make less mistake. although for light usage brown is perfectly fine
I'm disappointed with my Keychron K6 Pro. It has only one static colour (red), which can't be changed. I bought the keyboard with RGB expecting to have a static cyan colour for all keys, so you can imagine my disappointment when I couldn't change colours. You can change effects, but not colours. There's nothing in the documentation about changing colours, and I have emailed support twice, who replied with two very unhelpful solutions: "read manual"
Hi, sorry for the inconvenience. The RGB colour can be changed. You can press "fn1 + Q" to choose the effect mode, then press "fn + E" to change the colour. Hope this can help you.
