Sorry to burst your bubble here, but they have also updated some time ago that qmk/via compatibility is unlikely for existing boards as it’s too much work to get it compatible. It’s more likely for them to release qmk/via compatible boards as new releases in late 2021

I have been using my K6 since released. Modded it with filmed and lubed Zealios V2 67g plus GMK Laser. 3 device bluetooth connection is my favorite feature. I could just switch between my PC, work laptop, and iPad Pro without a problem.

I did not expect the wireless connection to be that fast...
But i would have preferred that usb port at the top than at the side...
But still pretty good...
Because it was not problematic.
But wireless connection for Keychron are quite known for its problematic wireless.
My first mechanical keyboard and I love it. Im not keyboard enthusiast just using it for everyday use and this keyboard offer everything. Type C usb, compact for travel use, both bluetooth and cable connection, can be used both for my laptop and ipad. Really recommend it
Thank you for the great video! I was contemplating on a K2 vs. K6 but was worried about painting aluminum and this seals the deal since my entire desktop is white themed and this was the only keyboard that offered bluetooth so I can use it for both my work laptop + personal desktop. I agree with you, while there are many great custom keyboards out there, they need to start adding bluetooth to their keyboards so people can use one keyboard for all. :)

For those that may be curious, I always spray paint my tech with, and subsequently recommend, both the Montana Gold and Black spray can lines. Both are grounded in the graffiti and pro art world. In the US, visit your local art store, online shops, or, for some folks, your local Michael's craft chain store may carry (an extremely limited) stock.
yep, montana is also available here, but I have to order :( solid paints, and a great colour range :)

I have the "al-yoo-min-ee-um" hot-swap one with clicky blue keys and I❤ it! ....my favorite typer! Great feel and light action. I can type all day on it. I take it with me to the coffee shop when I want to annoy people. heh

I have the aluminum hot-swap K8. I love it. The stabs came pre-lubed and I put Kailh Box Yellows in them and they work like a dream.
One thing I like about this board is the bluetooth indicator isn't bright or annoying.
I have the K6 with the optical blue switches and I really like it
So excited to get my K3 from them soon! It looks like a really nice low profile mech.

Haven't done anything to mod mine yet, but I bought it last week and I'm loving it. Was the only wireless, small keyboard with iso Nordic that I could find for a decent/budget price and it was a good choice

I miss when RGB would just light up the letters in the key caps. I used to have a ducky one TKL that did that. and Logitech's keyboards do that too I think... It looks so much cleaner than the rest in my opinion.
Just got the Keychron K6 and can confirm you can do that on the pre existing RGB options

This is my daily driver right now. I am testing the Glorious Panda switches and they feel great on this.
Once this can be programmed with qmk/via they will fly off shelves as a cheap, easy, base mech keeb that people can afford and do a bunch of simple mods to customize. Honestly if it's programmable it might even kill the Drop Alt sales. Good thing they learned from their first round of keyboards cause those were just hot garbage. Especially with the flat bottom case design. Glad you called them out for it. Their marketing scheme is very influencer based.

Switched to K2 from MX Keys and it is better in every way except software (it doesn't exist) and BT (switch delay is little longer)

I just put some foam inside my new keychron k2 version 2, like literally 30 min ago. I used the 3 mm foam with adhesive. Now I'm just waiting for my 205g0 to arrive. Kinda nervous since its my first mod.
Love your work, have noticed that you are into F1 quite a bit so what teams do you support?
yup, love f1. i think for most people, we just like to see some sort of racing and someone else to be on the podium haha. but of course being australian, i support danny ric!
@1:45 putting pressure on your wrists while you type can cause injury. The ergonomic way is to keep your wrists lifted while typing

Is that hotswappable? Price is great if hotswappable.

@@Fear_g-o-d the reason I ask is I got same rgb, aluminum, hotswap, but I paid $84 after discount. So I thought your $72 is even better price. Got mine through Amazon.

I have the alu base, its great , but they lack of customization software
I truly hate that key labeling where for example the "/" key that gets shifted to "?" code is just labeled "/ ?" I want an old school labeling where the shifted code is towards the upper left and the un-shifted key is as close to the centre of the keycap as possible. Is there a name for this new type of labeling that I can use as a filter to NOT show me keycap sets that are that way. I love the acrylic with black top pudding keys but I can't find any that DO NOT use this new style of labeling. I bought a Logitech K845 104 key backlit keyboard before I noticed that it has the new style of labeling. the K845 comes with Cherry MX Blue switches so I just have to find a keycap set that I like. The keyboard cost me under $100 CAD so a $50 CAD keycap set won't be an issue.

my first two keyboards were under $5 and they torn apart now as 3rd one I use a mechanical keyboard that serves well for the last couple of years

I planned on getting one of those but ended up pre ordering the K3 because I feared this keyboard being too tall.
I got my K3 a few months ago, with brown optical switches and I'm really liking it, I only had a Drevo Gramr with red switches before and the apple magic keyboard so I'm not very well versed in the world of mechanical keyboards, but the K3 feels good enough for me, I work from 8am to 6pm monday thru friday as designer and I mostly use the keyboard for adobe software shortcuts and a few emails here and there, and it feels plenty good fort that, a pretty big step up from the Drevo Gramr and the Apple Magic Keyboard.

In Australia, give Ironlak spray paint a go? Graffiti/street art brand, but very thick, opaque, good quality at fair price. Wouldn't recommend their paint markers, tho. Design quality is off.

i researched the linux compat of the keychron (because imo it looks rlly hot), and apparantly it has a lot of issues still.
good review though, lots of good b-roll
pro tip for paint stuff. Go to Dick blick or local art store and buy spray paint used for graffiti. Montanas in particular, better pain, better finish and more finish choices + textures. Resist dripping can choose higher or loser pressure cans and different caps for spray patterns.
I dig the go-faster stripes.
Looks great but I wish they'd release a 60% board, that extra row on the right of enter is just not nice.
When i got my K6 and saw the switch puller I facepalmed so hard. If i didn't have another cheap one from another build I would've been so mad
so if you buy the aluminium framed one you also get the rgb backlighting
Bought my first mechanical, Iqunix F96 Kat, feels amazing from apple magic, but bluetooth is intermittent on my Mac :(
