@@docholliday3666 James been around the block a few times. Partially responsible for a lot of stuff in the gun world. He has a bad wrap for “running into a ditch in a firefight” since internet commandos don’t understand what cover is. He made some comments that got his permit pulled by the state of TN for telling the government to get fucked. Other than that, he tells people hard to swallow stuff, and it pisses off the internet. Solid human being.
@@docholliday3666 TL;DR he’s frequently said incredibly over the top things including at one point stating he would “start shooting people” if one more gun control Bill became law. He got his carry permit yanked from that, plus that’s what killed his channel. Some people also argue about his time overseas as a contractor. I haven’t seen the footage so I can’t comment there
That would be a very long explanation my friend. Over the last 4 years or so James has gotten a lot calmer, but he used to say the things in his UA-cam videos that no other conservative with a big voice had the balls to say, specifically to the government. If you’re a new gun owner you should know that the government is actively trying to abolish the 2nd amendment every single day. James was the guy that told them to fuck themselves, while also warning them of the problems they would have if they didn’t stop trying to take away our rights. Welcome to the gun community.
@@docholliday3666 oh and I’m assuming most of the people in the gun community who don’t like him probably don’t like him because he has no filter with everyone, not just the government. He went out of his way to be a good dude when he didn't have to in a fashion that spoke volumes more to me than anything ive seen on UA-cam.
I remember the video that got James banned: “I will train Antifa, then meet them in the desert with my crew and engage them in personal combat.” 🙂 too Ballsy for UA-cam.
@@michaelhennegan9637 That was when his permit was suspended. He said he would "start killing people" if gun control kept going the way it was. Sad thing was, he said "We'll pay our taxes, just leave our guns alone." I can take him or leave him. I do believe he does have a lot to offer. I do not believe the comment that he made about if “there mean to me I’m mean back”. I ordered a surefire flashlight form him years back. After ordering I realized it was bezel up only and I don’t care for that. Especially since I wasn’t even using the light for any kind of self defense. It was strictly for work. I contacted him explained why and asked if I could cancel my order before it had shipped. He canceled and refunded my money but not without going on a rant that I’m stupid and need to get training because bezel up is the best way to carry. So I call bullshit you are or at least can be a mean spirited man for no apparent reason.
I have a new found respect for James Yeager. I was never accepted into the military due to being blind in one eye. They saw me as defective goods. So I trained myself and I can shoot just as good if not better than most people I meet with 2 eyes. Mr. Yeager I thank you for having a non-discriminative outlook on who is or isn’t trainable. You are a truly honorable person.
I've trained with James and stayed at the team house at his place, he's actually a great dude and offers great training... He's not a rude guy, he is to the point and confident in his views and a lot of folks can't handle people like that... Just go train and create your own opinion.
James Yeager is simply someone that will never figure out how and why he is perceived as he is. I have met many people like that and you just have to accept them for who they are. It's easy to hate or disagree with the types of people that make it easy to do so. Ultimately, he is not the devil and as is with most people - everyone who is nice is not an angel and those whom are not nice are not the devil. Besides, when he entered the public space I doubt he had an action plan for whatever extemporal persona that came forth. I think he is a decent man.
When someone says "he's a nice guy once you get to know him." What they really mean is "he's an asshole, but you'll get used to it." I know my wife says that about me. 😄
Thanks for doing this video interview with Mr. Yeager. It was nice to see someone not judge him and let him relax enough to share his thoughts without condemnation. He has so much solid information that he shouldn’t be ignored because you might not agree with 5% or less of his opinions. This is definitely in keeping with the Warrior-Poet ethos.

I questioned a shooting technique on mounting a dummy and using the off hand to keep a handgun from cycling and Yeager responded “I can tell you got bad advise just by saying perp”. At least I wasn’t the idiot who told students to stomp on a loaded handgun causing a neglect discharge lol
I took fighting pistol last year with James Yeager and it changed my life, my way of thinking. I will definitely be doing more training with Tactical Response. I also hope to train with John at some point.
Thank you for this. I had no idea James was cancelled. I remember watching videos a couple years back based on Sig556 rifles he had which I really enjoyed. Glad to see you are back. Really enjoyed this interview.
Learning from someone doesn't necessarily involve liking them. That said, I have learned some from both James and John, and I find myself in agreement with them far more than not. Life is too short to go around worrying about whether or not feelings will be hurt, though I don't generally insult folks without cause. We're adults and I expect everyone to conduct themselves accordingly. I agree with James in that not everyone deserves to train with him. There are folks that haven't developed the emotional strength to engage in matters of life and death. This doesn't pertain exclusively to firearms. You will find some of them right here in the comments section. My thanks to John and James for letting us sit in on an interesting discussion.
Like Pollock or Warhol, Yeager's art lies on causing a reaction when people see it. Whether this reaction is positive or negative is irrelevant for him
Question: "Why did you get cancelled?" I watched the last video Yeager uploaded before his account was nuked. He was talking with a man from Florida whose name escapes me, Monk or Mookie or something like that. The Floridian said something and I recall thinking as he said it, "this is going to get this channel banned." Dude from Florida was NOT wrong, he just spoke freely in a post-free speech era. Yeager's channel was gone the next morning. Much respect to Yeager and WPS.

@@docholliday3666 James been around the block a few times. Partially responsible for a lot of stuff in the gun world. He has a bad wrap for “running into a ditch in a firefight” since internet commandos don’t understand what cover is. Solid human being.
@@docholliday3666 TL;DR he’s frequently said incredibly over the top things including at one point stating he would “start shooting people” if one more gun control Bill became law. He got his carry permit yanked from that, plus that’s what killed his channel.

@Muffinator People on the internet who scream the loudest about shit are the ones who hate him the most.

He seems fine if you give it back as quick as he dishes it
I think he knows exactly why he's perceived the way he is. He's blunt, speaks his mind, and said so in the video.
When someone says "he's a nice guy once you get to know him."
What they really mean is "he's an asshole, but you'll get used to it."
I know my wife says that about me. 😄
Thanks John for putting this out here.
