Being prepared isn't solely collecting supplies. Experience and knowing how to use what you have effectively goes a long way. It's almost impossible to be perfectly prepared for any situation because even prefect planning usually goes to hell. Learn to be creative and improvise with what you have available.

I pray I never have to use it, I'm just not too thrilled about all these Californians moving here, I hope they are leaving these stupid policies that ruined their cities in the first place behind. :/

@@drakke125Channel I would agree if I lived in the suburbs or cities, but we live way out in a tiny community in Appalachia. 10 miles from the nearest town of ~150 people. Our community here of about 10 families is very closely knit and in the event of a disaster we'd all band together rather than fight each other. We already do this when we get big snows and are stranded in our valley for days at a time, sometimes with no power when it's 10 degrees outside with 50mph winds off the mountain. It makes a strong community when we have to rely on each other in emergency situations. There's still folks here that grew up before electricity came haha. We've got guns and chokepoints on our property, but I don't think we'd have to use them against our little community here. Against marauders, I expect we'd mount a community defense.

A Scout is: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean And Reverent. As a Tiger Cub to Eagle Scout Myself, Being Prepared is SECOND Nature. And I strive to "Do a Good Turn Daily". It's NEVER been More Prudent to Have SOME Kind of "Skills" to "Survive".
My advice has always been to prepare with skills more than stuff. be a mechanic, a carpenter, a blacksmith, a farmer, etc..so you never have to rely on someone else. And no matter what the value of "things" does, YOUR value will always increase.
But we need to rely on other people it’s ridiculous to believe you can do everything by yourself, when you know how to do “everything” your not good at anything
I've been around a long time. Last year was the craziest because of the pandemic. This year is by far the scariest because of the way people are thinking. Our society has never been this bloated with so many people who feel they are entitled to something they didn't earn and don't deserve. We need to get back to teaching fundamental patriotism, respect, resilience and resolve in our schools and in our homes.
How about God, conveniently left out. He’s been kicked out of our homes, schools, and institutions. THIS WAS BOUND TO HAPPEN...heck it was their goal! And most are embracing it ‘left..and right’, pun not intended.
Not a chance no matter who leads the country in this happening.. Love for thy neighbors, love for thy country, pride in your homeland etc etc will never exist again. We are taught to care about one thing and one thing only now days. Kids don't even get taught in schools anymore to respect your parents to reinforce what should be taught at home.. Kids are taught to fear a gun, and whatever half ass history they teach, advanced math (because it's a needed skill to the gov) and to read and write and that's really about it. Its sad it's really sad... Kids are taught to care about nothing or no one but them selves and we have current school system, UA-cam, IG and Tictok for that... They care about them selves and being rich and famous and not a damn thing else because it's what's taught and most parents now days are about as worthless as the system to their kids.
@@EDCandLace I believe that We The People are still as powerful of a force for good in this country as those who freed it from British imperial tyranny. We just have to get back to core values and fundamentals.
One of the most important things we can do right now is build strong communities, even if it’s just 2 or 3 families with a plan in place. One person can prepare all they want but without a tribe they’re not going to last long.
Yes that is very good too, strong communities makes sense and the more we share the Warrior poet the more people will understand how important prepping is, and self sufficient, and thus a whole community could have this information, put it to work and you’ve got a strong community :)
I mean, OK, but what is your community going to do against a cyber attack? Seems to me what we need to do is build strong cyber security awareness and invest money in innovation, R&D, better hardware for national infrastructure and more DOD spending on cyber security and cyber defense.
@Jake yes that’s true, but seems like lots of people want freedom still and many cultures flees communism and they can see it evolve. The msm is trying real hard to divide us and we can’t let it happen.

I lived in San Diego, CA when the electricity was out in the whole city for about 24 hours. Nobody's cell phone would even work because everybody was trying to call everybody, I guess the towers couldn't handle it. The roads were all jammed up and food was going bad in the fridge. This was 24 hours. If the power grid goes down for a week, it's going to be a Purge that will make 2020 look like picnic, let me tell you.
@Phillip Delgado This happens frequently. You can't really pin point an exact date because California is notorious for heat related power outages. I lived in California for 23 years of my life. Power outages were most notorious during the summer months, when the heat index, especially in So Cal, would reach between 95 and 110, depending where you lived specifically. And many of the power supply stations and systems don't have emergency cooling. They have emergency shut off systems if they begin to over heat, which is why power outages happen so frequently. And, again, I can verify that this happens regularly for looting and complete chaos. California could not last 3 days without power, as an entire state. If such were to happen, the state of California being this peaceful, loving, utopian paradise of "diversity", would rapidly devolve into base animal violence and vitriol. Because the only people (especially in the cities) with guns are the criminal gangs and cartel branches. It would turn into "Escape From LA", practically over night. Just look at the 1992 Rodney King Riots. The only area of LA not touched by rioting? Where the Roof Koreans made their name, when the Police left them to their fate because they had neither the personnel, equipment or numbers to fight the "fiery but peaceful" black community rampaging and destroying the city in protest.
Smart meters.......... if you don’t respond to the demands of your master, he will shut of your power, your water and your gas and block the only two roads in and out of your community until you all submit! They want your guns so that...... they can return the land back to Spain without too much trouble. Oh? You didn’t read the Spanish English land trade agreement, which led to the Mexican American “war” which was the land trade agreement due and payable in the next 100-120 years! Time has been up ! That is why bush jr. allowed them folks to bring in the heavy weapons under the cover of “farm trucks bringing in produce.” And what about Reagan when he he said to Mexico “Come on in!” And “oh by the way you folks are going to get a 5 cent of per head of lettuce” we are in dire danger in America! This IS WHY that General said “Never forget the Alamo!” That scenario IS COMING! By the way, incase you haven’t noticed ALL predominately white nations are seeing strong opposition. Don’t think you are going to survive in the country. Country cop shops have all bought tanks and armor personnel carriers.
The 03 blackout that effected millions in the northeast/midwest for a week did not cause such a thing. All the people who went out to buy guns during the beginning of the pandemic bought them why? Anticipating chaos. No such thing happened. It doesn't mean don't be prepared but human beings tend to want to cooperate to keep things going than to actively cause chaos.

Exactly! I'd you are prepared, you don't have to be afraid or paranoid! You can live your life without fear because you know that come what may you have a plan b. I'm taking preparedness in a slightly different way. We don't have the money to do the solar thing (and it's not even really a viable option where we live), and we can't afford a lot of the investment stuff right now (we do what we can, but it's literally a couple dollars when we can manage it). But my version of preparedness is that, since we have a small amount of land, I'm learning to cultivate it, to grow things from seed, and hopefully someday get us to the point where if we have to, we can keep our family alive off our land. We are blessed, because we have a wood burning stove and our neighbors raise black Angus, so in that we we have the pressure already off. I'm just putting it out there- flax and wheat will grow just about anywhere and I'm sure as heck planting it in my field and will be hand harvesting and processing it. People were doing those things essentially by hand for millenilnia and it's time to remember how.

Open carry? - again- depends on the neighborhood and situation… I don’t carry one in my present situation, but I don’t believe in disarming people who own guns… The idea that a law can stop people from killing people with guns is fiction… Disarm the law abiding then only outlaws will have guns…

Absolutely meet your neighbors. When i recently remarried i spent some time in my wife's apartment. And met her neighbors. She had not since she worked all the time. I learned early on that in any kind of societal break down, several of her immediate neighbors were going to need to disappear.
Well said brother John. Remember folks-- you are your first and last line of defense, stay smart, stay safe, be adaptive, and don't be afraid.
Being prepared for what may come offsets fear. Stay strong, folks. Prepare, and forget fear. God first, and God speed!

Always thought it weird that people that keep a prepared mind get called paranoid until things get ruff.
It's not too hard to understand once you realize the people that are saying that are simply practicing self defense of their actions to enable their own laziness which is a natural reaction in the human brain... Do the least effort necessary for survival.
WOO! The Chosen is the best show ever! Glad to know you like it too.
I have been living off-grid in Colorado for a few years now. If you ever have any questions etc. please don't hesitate to ask me. It is not a troublesome-free lifestyle, but it is a cool thing to do and there certainly is some peace of mind with having that sort of set up.
That's my goal is to own land and never depend on money or society in the way I do now. A man with land should never be homless or hungry, even without a dollar to their name.
Are you completely food-independent? If so, what plants do you grow for food? And how do you survive during the winter?
@@MetalMario137 No I am not. I am still definitely relying on buying food from stores as well as many other items. Off-grid to me means that if the grid shut down (utilities such as power, water etc) I would still be good to go. My broker is a young guy. I am retired and I don't have a lot, literally, he's seen something that makes him very nervous about people in my financial bracket and encouraged me to move my money, at least for now, into a simple savings type account. I won't be earning anything but I won't be broke when JoJo's economic antics blow up in OUR faces
Even if the money is moved and saved Im concerned that the drop in dollar value will wipe out any savings. I'm too concerned, where my 401k and pension are in 80% risk investment. I should probably move that🤔 I'm still 15+ years from retirement so I have that going for me. I'm deeply concerned for those that are already living on their savings.
When I was taking a trimix course years ago, our instructor had some great words of advice for deep diving - "paranoia is your friend" and "one is none and two is one". At 300 feet underwater it makes perfect sense.
I'm not a prepper, but I thought all of this could happen years ago, along with many of you! Preparation is the key, that's really all you can do in the big scheme of things! Prepare, Adapt, Overcome.
