    I like the work good welds but I think you’ll get noticed & get more subscribers if u showed us the work while you’re welding it & the puddle. As a welder that weld puddle is where alot of the attention goes I’m pretty sure 90% of welders in every process wouldn’t even be a welder if it wasn’t for the weld puddle so just a tip bro but u do weld really good I respect u for that 👍🏽 keep up the good work

      Thank you for the complement and suggestion! This was my first video that I recorded, edited, and uploaded. My videos and how I record that content has improved, to a degree, since this video was produced. I've been an audio and video guy for over two decades at my church with access to professional recording equipment and a "near studio" quality type setup. Unfortunately, I don't have this kind of equipment while doing field work. As my business grows, I'll invest in more equipment that will allow me to produce better content with close up arc shots, better audio, and so forth. I have about a dozen more project videos that are recorded, as I have time I'll get them edited and uploaded to UA-cam. Thanks again for your input!

      I Totally agree and would also suggest-less talking and more doing. This is creative criticism and not meant to offend but to help you grow.
      I am a seasoned welder that enjoys the work and how other people (do) it. Peace brother.

      I appreciated the advice. This was my first video so I didn't even have a tripod at the time to record my in-progress welding work. As the money has allowed, I've invested into additional equipment to shoot better video. I have a bunch more videos to edit and upload of recent projects. Stay tuned for more!

      Thanks! It was the first one that I recorded so the video is very shaky. Apologies for that. I have a bunch more that I need to edit and upload to UA-cam. Now if only I could get some good arc shots in my videos. 😎

      @@Cholton327 yeah. I’ve invested in some camera gear to get smooth and stable video (removes shaking). I need to figure out how to get my camera behind an auto darkening lens so people can “see what I see” when welding.It’s on the Christmas wish list. I also need a wireless microphone that has better audio quality than my Bluetooth earbuds. All in due time.

    That's a common break on all tilt trailers. I have seen plenty breaks on the same spot.

    • @cameronfabrications
      @cameronfabrications  Рік тому

      Yeah the owner of the trailer admitted that he was hard on his equipment. The older trailer was made using 6" channel iron whereas his new skid steer trailer was made from 8" channel iron. It's stronger now than it was from the factory for sure.

    I am not a fabricator but I was wondering would it have been better and stronger to just cut out that channel completely on the side and put in a piece of thick wall box tubing steel I don't know

    • @BrentCameron
      @BrentCameron Рік тому +2

      I didn't go that route due to the challenge of getting the length of the (new) frame to match the exact length of the factory frame rails and the time it would have taken to make sure everything was spot on before welding. Doable yes, but it would have added to the overall cost to complete the project. Going the route that I did, I added to what was already there from the factory.

    Man you saved your brother from a very costly lawsuit imagine that trailer fully loaded cutting lose on a busy highway going 70 miles an hour it's horrifying what could happen people never try and fix shit like this yourself get a professional because you could only make it worse

    Why the manufacturer build a more durable trailer in the first place? Sure stuff break but if you already have the steel in hand then make it to the best not half arse🙄

    • @jamesanderson2176
      @jamesanderson2176 Рік тому

      It's easy to blame the engineer or the manufacturer, BUT: What was the trailer originally designed to do? What was its weight rating? How badly has it been abused? Did the guy drop a TREE on it at some point? Those cracks were probably caused by fatigue, likely from overloading.

    • @imtheeastgermanguy5431
      @imtheeastgermanguy5431 Рік тому

      @@jamesanderson2176 yes I know what you mean but why isn't there a standardized built on which ever trailer has to be built. And have 2-3 different types of categories like light, heavy loading and special trailer. Job done. Than we don't have many manufacturers who often gives a 💩 about design and quality.

  • @joedoakes8307

    Maybe your "Customer" has been overloading his trailer and has caused the problem to be self inflicted ! Or , the old trailer was a POS to begin with !
