Great video sharing the basics of staring a small mobile welding business. I also ru a small welding business out of my mini van with everything I need. I wish you the best and good luck.
@@XIVMike Absolutely. Intverter generators generate what they call "clean Power" which means the AC frequency closely matches that of what comes out of your outlet, Measured in what's called Total Harmonic Distortion(THD). Sensitive electronics(including inverter type welders) require power with a THD of less than 5%. Normal generators have a THD of 10-20%. Running any sensitive electronics over time will destroy the circuitry. I just got a Sportsman 8750 Inverter Generator from Home Depot. They are having an incredible sale right now. $735
@@XIVMike What do you mean by Normal? Like inverter vs transformer? If so Id go inverter for many reasons. First Transformer welders arent really made any more. They are considered old technology. Plus inverters are more tunable with more settings, way more portable, and if something breaks, You can get it serviced or source parts much easier.
I still don't understand how guys call themselves rig welders with 1 box of tools and a generator. I carry 40k in tools between mag drill portable bandsaw, etc to do farm Repairs. I'm running a 1 ton and a 300a welder. I carry 4 grinders so im not wasting time constantly switching disc's, pipe stands, oxy acetylene setup etc.
Guys, Here is The Savior YaH The Heavenly FATHER (Genesis 1) HIMSELF was Who they Crucified/Pierced for our sins and “HERE IS THE PROOF” From the Ancient Semitic: "Yad He Vav He" is what Moshe (Moses) wrote, when Moses asked YaH His Name (Exodus 3) Ancient Semitic Direct Translation Yad - "Behold The Hand" He - "Behold the Breath" Vav - "Behold The NAIL"
Its probably a different for everyone since I run my expensive mobile setup out of my mini van and works just fine unless your carry the even more expensive equitment.

Is that compressor enough for your plasma cutter? That generator looks to small to run both at the same time.
What size generator to I need to fully handle a Lincoln SP-170 t
I recommend a running wattage of at least 7000. I burned up this generator pretty quick
@@StickManFab think it would be better to have an inverter welder over a normal one?

Guys, Here is The Savior
YaH The Heavenly FATHER (Genesis 1) HIMSELF was Who they Crucified/Pierced for our sins and “HERE IS THE PROOF”
From the Ancient Semitic:
"Yad He Vav He" is what Moshe (Moses) wrote, when Moses asked YaH His Name (Exodus 3)
Ancient Semitic Direct Translation
Yad - "Behold The Hand"
He - "Behold the Breath"
Vav - "Behold The NAIL"

I run a PortaWeld 500amp multiprocess out of my Mazda 6. I'm making 200k a year. You don't need a big bad welding truck to be a rig welder
So you work for free?
