@@jsalazar92092 Black forrest has more uneven map spawns. Rage forrest are optimised towards symetry for teams. Both getting the same lakes, boars etc. And I think the lakes are always with pockets or flanks for both sides.
Hera is turning out to be a great black forest captain. Graet communication, great map awareness, awesome tactical and strategical thinking. The stabilizing into booming towards the right composition, into getting the upper hand, into quickly spotting any counter-attacks or comeback attempt, into switching to elephants preemptively.... it just felt so smooth! Also, everyone sharing resources as things were needed was so cool.
Caught most of this live - looking forward to tomorrow’s set! Edit - For what it’s worth the Spanish for other side’s comms doesn’t bother me. It makes sense that they’re going to communicate in the language that’s most effective for the two of them.
I don’t know if anyone else has noticed this? But Rage Forest is the closest thing AOE2 has to a MOBA mode? You essentially have “lanes” and different players make up different roles in the team? But it’s different to a MOBA as it’s still an RTS at its core? Giving it a high level of different tactics and strategies. Truly, the different strategic plays and tactics you can do within a single game of Rage Forest is actually endless. Such a cool part of AOE2. 👌
Yeah saw Hera in tourney teamgames and I was like omg, when it comes to army control he's better than me but anything else is disaster 😂 Now Hera continues growing
Why did the Sicilian player waste a bajillion stone making useless donjons? He should have slung it to someone who could make bombard towers instead. Donjons do absolutely nothing in imperial age.
That's for gaining space. It prevents the enemy from regaining backif things go south, and it's way easier to attack with siege behind donjons and castles If one side is stable and all you need is to slowly progress your attack, towers/donjons are a fucking awesome idea
I just hate when people go online into competitive games and not speak english. When I was playing counter strike and 3 were talking in english even if none were native speakers and two spoke russia/turkish/german/french/portugese (those are the worst offenders I remember) it just destroys teams. So much idle chatter that brings no value to half the team or even worse when 4 people speak a language I don't speak it just incentivised me to turn off VC and now they have a 4 man team. In this video, 2 speaking spanish just to themselfs is getting me flashbacks to that and that is definetly one reason why I could not watch past 10 minutes. I don't think aoe2 DE has a built in VC so you guys hopped onto discord or whatever to talk and these two just speak spanish the whole time and that is double weird to me. You do not need fantastic english to talk in a competitive game. You can just use simple words with pings and everyone understands. Maybe I am alone in feeling this way but I will definetly not continue watching videos like that.
@@killerchicken750its honestly a bit evil to do this, playing with friends is less problematic if you're not comfortable with English :d. If the game requires communication for competitive, English should be expected even if not fluent. I say this as a Spanish speaker, I understand you might find it offensive but having teammates you can communicate with should be expected in competitive games.
maybe learn another language?? or everyone just has to adapt to your necesities? better yet, stop complaining and find a couple friends that speak your language
I couldnt disagree with this more. I dont watch POV for the commentary. I say let them play and communicate however is natural for them. To each their own.

For all you entitled English speakers, you didn’t miss anything, just a bunch of “attack here”, “wall there”, “he’s on gold” and stuff. And not just that, but talking about the other side of the freaking map which we can’t see anything the whole game. When they talked to Hera they did in English. Peace out, stay humble. 🖖✌️🫰
rage forest is my favorite to watch. so much diversity in each game. dark age vill fighting to post imp meatgrinders full spectrum bby

bro the "4v4 BF only noobs (no beginers) no rush till imp" are my favorites games 👍
Are the other games uploaded anywhere?

Khmer farmers don't need to drop off their food.

Oh he is definitely top in this game and has been for at least the last 2 years
Hera, im curious, i know you have some spanish knowledge, do you understand what your teammates say?
they said 25% bonus gold trade

Would love to see that kinda synergy and communication from GL ;)
Grandee Hera!!
crazy powerhouse 😂
If only viper could learn to wall like that in early game……
He does in tournaments more. He plays open especially in lobbies where he’s better than the other player he’s facing
Why do people complain about teammates communicating in their native language? Get over yourself and watch the game. Jeez
I swear i heard arabic, german, spanish, and french lmao
How do you play as Khmer in 4v4 BF and not use Ballista Elephants?!
I was wondering the same thing
why does hera build so many markets? I'm not knowing.

How he went from feudal to castle without market?
