Every time I hear a song by Led Zeppelin I think "thank you, my beloved Jimmy, for forming this fantastic band." Because he, in his admirable intuition and genius, knew how to choose three men with absolute talents to, together, turn the world of rock inside out. Jimmy, JPJ, Robert and Bonham are incomparable and unique. So there never was and never will be another band like LZ. 🎶🎸🎤🎼🎹🥁🎵❤️💚💙🧡
I think it was divine intervention. It was all of their destinies to be together. Jimmy had the vision, and Thank You, Jimmy Page, for not settling for anything less. Love You!
I was there as a 17 year old too…they played for 3 hours! Still my favourite concert ever 😊…and still listening to the mighty Zep in my 60’s…undoubtedly the best band ever 😘
71 here, saw them at the LA Forum about this time. Two things I recall specifically about the performance. 1) it was loud and (2) my girlfriend didn't need any encouragement to be amorous, when we got home. I wonder what she was thinking. Humm... Guess I'll never know....😁

He seemed to humbly accept his “Ignore that man behind the curtain!!!” Career so to speak. Oh how I miss Bonzo. He’d be proud of his son.
I’m 33 and I’ve had the same experience. Instead of judging your life experience against everyone else’s, just enjoy the things that make you happy and you’ll have a far better journey. Led Zeppelin makes you and I happy, but there’s so much more for us out there

Such a lovely song. To me this is one of the most profound meanings found in a Zeppelin song. “That’s the way it’s got to be”, it’s just so accepting of life and every trial and tribulation that comes with it, Plants lyrical prowess at its best
You missed the point of this song. 'That's the way it's gotta be' is said by the mother but not accepted by the singer. The mother is expecting the singer to accept prejudice and narrow mindedness. Plant's view is not that of the mother. At the end of this song he sings 'I don't believe it's right. It ain't right'.
Thinking of a special dear friend I recently lost and this song is so meaningful between me and him. Love and miss you and have cried by the river many tears since you left this earth. I´m sorry, Jeannie. I played it for a friend when I learned that she had died that morning. I believe that she heard it as her angel took her hand and carried her to her home in Heaven. I miss you, Esperanza!
Does this sound like a heavy metal band? They were so much more. Always hated the metal labeling. They were the greatest rock and roll band. Ok, hard rock is acceptable😉
It happens. I still hear some people say the Beatles were only a pop band with 2 minute songs with easy chords, guess they never heard of Revolver, Sgt Pepper, the White Album or Abbey Road. Bands get labeled on their initial success as in this case, Led Zeppelin were labeled a heavy metal band yet they released Led Zeppelin III with mostly acoustic stuff. Go figure
@@itslikethesamebutdifferent8020 Thats why so many older bands aren't in current circulation anymore. The only songs that made it to radio were the only ones that did well in terms of sales, but the best songs are the ones that didn't do as well because they were different than what was popular.
Growing up, I must have seen the led 4 times. The four members were always destined to meet, the timing just had to be right. Over the years from travelling in other bands, playing as session musicians, the planets eventually aligned, the four were bought together when they were needed the most. Together they created magic, they travelled the world, spreading their magical, mystical and, mysterious creations to millions of adoring fans! Their star burned bright, the planet moved on.
Absolutely beautiful sends shivers up my spine please release the Earl's court concert
Hands down the best Rock Band known to mankind
ABSOLUTELY
I think it was divine intervention. It was all of their destinies to be together. Jimmy had the vision, and Thank You, Jimmy Page, for not settling for anything less. Love You!
Marcia marcia marcia you so eloquently hit the nail on the head
I was there as a 17 year old too…they played for 3 hours! Still my favourite concert ever 😊…and still listening to the mighty Zep in my 60’s…undoubtedly the best band ever 😘
Me as well. Magic.
Yeah I was there, remember it as if it was yesterday 😢bought bootleg Bonzos birthday Party Party
What's lost here is how versatile John Paul Jones is. This is the greatest rock band ever...Period!
Here I am 72 years old and I still listen to Zeppelin ❤will always love this band and had the pleasure of seeing them 😊❤
Mr. Jones on the mandolin is a gift to humanity.
Τελειο
You got that right 😂
No mix, no effects, just pure music ❤️
The strings of this music are, in themselves, a work of art.
Led is timeless!
Rock will remain upright!

Don't cry because it's over...
Smile because it happened!!!

Led Zeppelin music makes you feel something so special that we just don't really have today.
this song makes me cry with euphoric promise of a better tomorrow so thankful for it
Beautiful!
John Paul Jones the GLUE for Led Zeppelin incredible musician who could play a rubber band and make it sound beautiful 🤩
Robert Plant is 72 years old. How quickly life goes by.
Life like a bird fly away from us.
Yes it does. 1969, I was 14 yrs old when I bought my 1st album...Led Zeppelin-2. Again, time flies by.
71 here, saw them at the LA Forum about this time. Two things I recall specifically about the performance. 1) it was loud and (2) my girlfriend didn't need any encouragement to be amorous, when we got home. I wonder what she was thinking. Humm... Guess I'll never know....😁
@@deantait8326 17 here. I don't know how life is going to pan out....... I'm excited for my future but also nervous at the same time😬 how was your life???
*_They are beautifully timeless ..._*
WoW 🎉 the people at this performance must have been in SHOCK ; a Masterpiece right before their eyes
JPPJ his mandolin just heavenly ❤️❤️
Plant sounds so good here. The chord progressions sound so good. He has such good control…One of my many favorite songs. JPJ is my hero, though: such a creative genius and multitalented he is. He seemed to humbly accept his “Ignore that man behind the curtain!!!” Career so to speak. Oh how I miss Bonzo. He’d be proud of his son.
Every time I hear jimmys guitar in this one its just constant goosebumps. Its just that lovely ❤
The full talent of this band raw. Beautiful song writing, arrangements and vocals. Perfect
THE Greatest Rock Band. Period.
.
They were phenomenal but imo couldn’t touch the original allman brothers
LZ is a fine choice just wouldnt be my personal fave
@@rebuttalc2075 Yeah, AB are great, but almost an entirely different genre. ;)

I’m 33 and I’ve had the same experience. Instead of judging your life experience against everyone else’s, just enjoy the things that make you happy and you’ll have a far better journey. Led Zeppelin makes you and I happy, but there’s so much more for us out there
Real Music with Real heart, soul, and talent.
Just a casual blessing form the gods of rock.
Gen X here.
My heyday was Pearl jam, Nirvana, etc.
Zeppelin is and always has been my favourite band from the first time I ever heard them back in the late 80s.
Brilliance is timeless.
Timing of this could not have been better. I needed this today. Thank you.
I was at this concert … magic never dies
I envy you!
You know the you've mastered the mandolin when Jimmy Page plays rhythm for you. ❤
Far better on the instrument than Jimmy.
JPJ is a maestro musician on many instruments. He is soooooo much more than a bass guitarist.@@jameschirico173
This is like stopping to take in the smell of a rose you had long walked past, forgetting to pause.
Now her sweet scent is everything and you are in a moment, hypnotised by the wondrous blossom, her colours, beauty and aroma have you captivated like only a child can be.
This, is Led Zeppelin.
2021 or 1971, remember to stop and smell the roses...
The gods of rock.
This song is so very, very pretty. I love it. My first time hearing it. It's beautiful.
Listen to them chronological to their creation and you will be on a beautiful journey. Forgive me if assumed your not familiar with them . Enjoy.
@@timbrady6473 Will do! Yes. I'm very familiar with Led Zeppelin. I'm a child of the 60's. I saw them live every time they played at the Tampa Stadium, about 6 times. But I'm not too familiar with Robert Plant's new creation. So far I have been very impressed with every song that I have heard. Beautiful music 🎶
been listening to zep since 90s my first time too don t know where this was hiding lol
@@serenitygilles7064 I heard them live 5 or 6 times. Every time they performed at the Tampa Stadium. They're live concerts were the best. Apparently this is music that Robert Plant recently released. I have listened to a few and it's truly beautiful music 🎶
just another level above the rest. versatility beyond others... Come on JPJones
One of my favorite live versions of any song. Love this.
No one can top this
At almost the end of the performance, the bass kicks in. Where the heck is that bass coming from?! JPJ is playing the mandolin so great! Oops, he's got his feet doing that bass pedal working at the same time! Life is good! Everyone stay well & safe! Pax
Absolutely brilliant
@@michaelwertzy9808 yea you got to watch old jonesy he;s a sneaky little devil doing what he does.
i have to have at least 1 to 2 hrs of Zepp a day, no shit. i think i may drive my wife crazy, but if not i will go crazy. thanks LED ZEPPELIN.
Touched my life at the early age of 6...Earth Angels!!! You are truly magical and I will never be the same. I deeply honor you and love you so....
@@heliotropezzz333 thank you lol
Also, his son died of stomach cancer, so there's that too...
Admittedly don't remember exact timing of that, but worthyofnote fortgemans soul.

Hi to everyone from 🇲🇽 México, in my opinion the best rock group ever!!! I listen them from '77, now i'm 61, they're still the One!!!🎸

LED ZEPPELIN FOREVER! LONG LIVE LED ZEPPELIN!
John Paul Jones fire. The most underrated member of this amazing band. He is the bus driver. He holds everything right straight on Path..... fact
I just love his work on the mandolin in this song. So underrated...
thats why i love them the most: not just hammering metal, but excellent melodic folk going straight into the heart.
Zeppelin is the medicine that always brings me back to my center, my joy, my truth
Thinking of a special dear friend I recently lost and this song is so meaningful between me and him. Love and miss you and have cried by the river many tears since you left this earth. This song just showed up in my notifications. I feel like in a way somehow he wanted me to hear it. And Btw this is a great song! I love Led Zepplin and have never heard it before! Best band ever!
Sorry for your loss Jeanne. I believe it was a sign for you and your time and memories together. Peace to you ✌️
Sorry for your loss glad you have great memories and songs that help tell the tale.
It moves me the same way. I am sorry for your loss..
They were hard-core folkies at heart. It really came out on LZ III. I would kill to hear a show with Donovan and Page.
i’ve never heard a metal labeling on zeppelin
Word......
I can't believe this was 45 years ago, and Celebration Day was 13 years ago, for me they will always live as the best band of all times...
Magic was made that night 🌙 ❤
Growing up, I must have seen the led 4 times. The air was filled with refer smoke and beautiful people and great music, for those brief hours....we were free...30 years in the military on active duty and now I'm trying to mend my heart, soul and mind back to those days again...God will find me...praying
I was at this concert when I was 21 it was so good

I was there too, with my two best mates. Paid two weeks wages for the ticket but well worth it.

Led Zeppelin will always be!
They cast a spell that can never be broken, they enchanted and enthralled us, they bring us light from the darkness and, joy from sadness.
Thank you Robert, Jimmy, John and, John.

Led Zeppelin never die
Was lucky enough to have been at Earls Court for two consecutive nights. Seems a lifetime ago and yet it feels like I was there only yesterday. Having lived through the seventies was a real blessing as far as music is concerned, and now I can leave this fucked up world knowing that I have experienced things that were truly amazing
Yes, the best humans had to offer at any time on earth and oddly, so near the end of humans on earth - at least this version of it.
JPJ's mandolin always made this one for me. Made it timeless and unique. Music like this is seldom made anymore. It so influenced our entire lives.
JPJones is an orchestra alone
God Bless your dad..I'm 71 and never had the chance to see them..Ironically I"m just learning the rhythm on my guitar now.. One of my favorite Zeppelin songs..I could never do it justice..May he rest in peace and this song give you peace.
I’m almost in tears because of the following fact.
In fifty years Led Zeppelin will be a century old.
LOL ILL BE DEAD BUT THESES SONGS WILL BE IN ME FOREVER

This Canadian cannot comprehend the 'as read' comment you just made? I am usually pretty-good at pinning someone, on a map. I can only imagine you are very-far from North-America? I am in Canada, to be exact! Led Zeppelin's Music has touched, the circumference of the Earth. I'm Grateful to-be living during this time, because I witness Greatness. I play guitar but I bend-the-knee to Jimmy Page. When I hear "anything" by Led Zep, I am more HUMBLED than I am Grateful. PeaceOut from Canada.

Robert's phrasing is sublime! And so expressive, I never tire of listening to him sing. A kind of blues/jazz fusion is the nearest I can describe it.
No jazz. Just blues.
This is so beautiful it makes me cry....crying not only for the beauty of this song and this particular performance, but also that rock music of this kind is no more. I just learned this song and am going to be adding it to my channel and learning to play it made me appreciate it even more 💕

How, how in gods name do people come together and write something like this. Ill never comprehend.
