Here is my advice not just for this game but anything you decide to make. If you play to have fun for you then its a lot more fun for us to watch. I am just speaking for me but I will make you a deal. You keep making videos you enjoy and I will not only keep watching them but I will hit the thumbs up button for you. That's my offer. I enjoy your commitment to story telling it's a refreshing take on the 1,000 AoW4 videos posted a day. You keep being you and I am here for the ride.
Thanks for your words of encouragement, and I'm glad you enjoyed the episodes. I'll definitely continue playing the way I like playing (which is almost always going to be this narrative style), so have no fear there!
Actualy your animals grows. Look at their veteransy. When they level up at some point they become more adult. It goes well with trait thay give exp to your troops every turn. Thematicly its like growing your spiders. Sorry for bad english
Just found your channel and I'm so excited to see gameplay that's narrative based and not optimised to hell. I find this type of videos way more interesting.
I just want to say that I didn't wanted to buy the game until I saw our race and the lore and roleplay u put inside your faction and I totally fell in love. Thanks. I had a lot of fun the past 8 hours grinding on the first map. I will keep watching your walkthrough ❤❤❤❤
There's a fun little thing in the nature development tree, you get an animal whenever you annex a province, however its a bit broken as you can trade provinces between 2 cities if they're close enough, and this counts as annexing, so its essentially a ton of free animals. Could be useful for the spider theme
"A bit broken." It's complete abuse of the mechanics, and clearly not intended. When playing single player people are free to play how they wish of course but I do hope that gets patched sometime soon.
I was unaware of the exploit, but this development is massively OP cause not only does it give you tons of units, but if you use it on sea tiles, you have a really solid chance of getting a kraken, which allows you to build an really powerful navy if you want to dominate the coasts.
@@BerzerkerRush theres apparently one with the chaos affinity where you gain +20 permanent income everytime u raze a city so you raze one of your own cities over and over and just get rich that way.
underrated bro. Can tell you're learning with us and I have thoroughly played 4-5 campaigns already but your roleplay and combat skills are amazing. I subbed up because I'm witnessing the rise of the epic rise of The Spinner's Nest
Dude the expansion having an overworld would blow my mind 😂😂😂 Talk about truly ascending. Lol Im loving this fuckin game man your hella good at battling. Slowly chugging along at story #3 now. Cant wait to play again later today
If you move your darkblades next to an enemy and then attack you dont get the stacking damage from charge The tooltip will say if the charge is blocked
I know your several episodes ahead of this one but I have a thought about that dragon lair. With the chaos empire trait of getting a unit from clearing a lair I have to wonder what you would get. Also, if you played AOW3 taking control of a dragons lair meant you could make dragons once you built all the needed upgrades in the lair. I’m curious if that feature is in this version of AOW? I’m certainly enjoying your series!
@@TheAshHeritor There is a dragon lair above your second city basically. You went up there briefly with your scout but it was full of danger and the scout was alone. Also, that’s where the dwarf is. Now if you went up there with a war party…
Yeah Narative gameplay is what makes games like these immersive and fun, if you constantly min/max you will end up ruining how fun the game will be imo.

That is awesome. Was wondering if that was a mechanic. Gives more incentive to keep them alive too.

“I create things thematically, and not necessarily optimally…” 😊 +1 sub
"Not him, we gonna kill these dwarves and then eat them" 😂

How do you trade provinces?

As a dark culture you dont get stability boosting buildings instead you get buildings which offset low stab penalties and ones which exploite low stab
You don’t need to manually do defense mode on all your units if you end your turn and they still have an action they automatically go into defense mod
Great tip, already using it in later episodes, and glad that such qol exists in this game.
So nice for a none min / maxed playthrough. So so much more fun and interesting. Lovely stuff

Perhaps not a thriving series, but you've managed to get a subscriber. Very nice stuff!
+1 Sub here also. Top stuff
Fun episode, just a suggestion, can you open up the unit cards of new units/enemies so we can see more information on them!
Good idea, I'll showcase some of our new units in between turns.

Yeah, I imagine you would. Might have to test that when I encounter one. Could be a cool way to get a really strong unit.

I like thematic plays.
Debuffs last only three turns but can be stacked up to 5 times
Ah, cool. Did not know they lasted 3 turns.
No survivors, I support this stance.
This is the way.

you are pushing them episode's out quick, nice.
Aiming for every other day at least with this series.
you keep the production you didn't use from the previous structure, the two "filler" projects only use the draft and production once you pass the turn
Alright cool, so passing the turn "wastes" what is left. Got it. Thanks for the tip!

Bone marrow is definitely food
Especially once it has been liquefied by spider venom!

Think the resetting skills thing was a little lame, felt like you dragged out some of whatever character they might have had.
Alot of units do evolve as they get more experience
Yeah, it's awesome!
How is your game so smooth my game feels glitchy af
