Hello eveyone and welcome back to Age of Wonders 4! The end is swiftly and anticlimactically approaching, but that will not stop the new Prime Evil Iratus from claiming what is rightfully his. The fun event at 8:30 is a call back to Destruction Master from AOW3, I guess? I miss Fallen Angels. Anyway, the newly annointed Dread Master tests out his new stabby stick at 15:18, drives the "Sacred" White Wolf from our lands at 36:48, and then briefly parts from Iratus when he takes on a fellow Undead in the Silver Wonder at 1:01:21. If the AI doesn't do anything, the game will end in 6 turns, and we're pushing to Turn 80 next time to see the fate of my first run. Thanks for watching!
Because you never met Hornward (the free city) the progress never started. I think this is a oversight, because sending a whispering stone is like giving them your phone number (in a magical way), so they should become aware of you.
@@Fableheim There are map collectables that show you certain parts of the map (wonders, free cities). Maybe you collected one of these and revealed the city?
I kinda love the idea of you knowing of the city, sneaking close to it, leaving a stone that just slightly whispers, they find it and are like "Oh look somebody is trying to communicate with us, to storage it goes!"
As someone who just discovered your channel from this series, I must say I am loving it. I usually have trouble following turn-based strategy games by other creators but your charisma and calming voice make it a pleasant experience. Keep going dude! What are you thinking of doing for the next campaign?
Thanks for the kind words! I have four ideas that will be put up in a UA-cam poll (link will be in the episode's pinned comment) when the next episode releases for people to vote on. I'll select the winner after about 48 hours. (:
The independent marauder stacks that spawn to assault the magic constructions are no joke. But, the spell must be cast and they only spawn during the 15 turn cast time. I know we're not voting yet, but I'd like to hear you narrate being a good guy. That voice...
It seems so, because Tugrum is stacking on her Magical Improvements the way I used to stack on Seals in Age of Wonders 3. XD The one good guy in the poll sounds a little bit like a less gravely version of the Darkest Dungeon narrator, if you're familiar. I'd be doing my best to imitate him. (:
What's worse than 1 ultimate tier unit spawning out of thin air? TWO! That mechanic drove me absolutely insane in Warhammer 2's campaign maps, but you did have less control over your 3 ritual sites. The Brutal AI doesn't seem to be having any problems taking them down, but that's probably because there's no player pressuring her.
I'm very much enjoying this. I do recommend having a leader less army following each heros army. Even if they are just skirmishers it will massively help in auto battles and it'd make sense. Hoards of baddies flooding in each battle
The only downside is that there is a cap of 3 armies per side, so if it's a fair fight you want your 3 strongest armies to face off against 3 opponents. Not that I ever want to give my enemies a fair fight, mind you.
By business, do you mean grievances? I think I tried once, but the AI couldn't afford it. So.... I forgot the option existed again. XD Great advice though -- thanks!
They have experienced the horror that they have wrought upon others? It feels like they tried to make them actually look like a spawn of evil instead of being a memetastic evil unit.

My vote for the next run: Sutari, Child of Gaia -- Female druid, nature and balance among all things! And forests. Forests are great.
Ooo, I like the idea but I've already settled on the four options for the poll that will go up alongside the next episode. (:
@@Fableheim Aww, I worked on the name for at least 17 minutes!
And so prime evil Iratus finishes his most depraved creation. Dem roads.
You thought domain border gore was sickening? BEHOLD!

I'm fairly confident that's what happened as well so I'm not even sure how I could see them. XD

Those "Intruders" appear instantly next to one of your seeds, in my playthrough it was 2 armies with one of those large Red Balrog looking monsters

@@Fableheim a army of Frontline a army of supporters or ranged and a army of hammer to use the Frontline
@Fableheim an army of cheap, easily replaceable fronting to soak up damage is what necro is very good at
@@liamfinch6100 True! You can also have throw-away armies that you just toss at a stack and then come in with your real armies.
@@Fableheim exactly
Thanks for the storytelling! ^^
Finally! Been refreshing for an hour 😂
Truthfully, like 3 hours, even though I knew it was too early .
@@mikenereson I'm glad you're enjoying the series so much! (:
Settle your budiness with other leaders if it is stacked up like that you get a Lot of money!
Love the series

First
Yes having seafaring allows you to sail on the underground rivers
In my defense, those giant stalagmites poking through the water do not look safe to seafare.
kinda late for the party, here we go Iratuuuuuus!! 😅
Better late than never! (:
I love the penguins.
Dire Penguins are the OG
Why are dire penguin so horrible looking in this game? They used to be stupid-looking emperor penguins. What the hell happened between games?
They have experienced the horror that they have wrought upon others?
It feels like they tried to make them actually look like a spawn of evil instead of being a memetastic evil unit.
