    Nice report
    I have been searching without any success to try and find the fastest TV for wifi.
    Most TV manufacturers are only putting 10/100 Nics in TVs while most people have gig speeds.

    Hi Jon, my husband likes to fall asleep earlier that I do, so I’d like a TV with Bluetooth (so I can use my airpods) but also have a dimmer, so that the brightness doesn’t disturb my husband while he tries to sleep. One last thing, I’d like the TV to have buttons on the TV itself, so that if we loose the remote control, we can still use the TV without having to wait while we order a new one. Any suggestions?

    Hi,
    I've asked a few stores and they recommended these 2 models for my budget.
    Sony 65" 4K Google TV KD-65X85K
    LG A2 55'' OLED 4K TV
    They are exactly the same price.
    Considering the TV quality, reliability, and customer service, which one would you choose?
    Note: my house living room has direct sunlight from window and TV will be placed near the window. And I'm a no gamer.
    Appreciate your advice.

    Oled is good , only thing is the dim SDR . Qd oled has brighter closer to led SDR, and also great HDR. Once the QD oleds come out with bigger sizes and prices drop a bit , its gonna be a no brainer in 1-3 years.

    I just bought a 77” LG C2 for my family room because I wanted the best picture at that larger size. It’s a shame that QD-OLED is only available up to 65”, because that really wasn’t big enough although I would have preferred the picture. Overall glad I went for the C2 and I think it was the right choice.
    Oh and I can’t wall mount anything where I live, so the G2 didn’t seem like a great option.

    Great overview. I need to watch reviews of specific models again. I've read comments that there are some issues in particular panel sizes, at least with the X95K. A 75" could be okay in my living room, but a 65" is much cheaper. I hope Hisense will launch the U8H and U9H in a couple of weeks to see how they compare with other mini LED models.

    I don't get why everyone is recommending OLED. Even the slightest chance that a $2000-$2500 TV could get burn-in and ruin the display is an instant turn off for me. I keep my TV for 10 years. Looking at tests, an OLED would probably last at most 5 years before burn-ins become a major issue. There are many reports of S95B getting visible burn-ins just a few months in.
    Also 12:10 "No risk of burn-in". This is completely false, why would you even state that?

    I've now had the Hisense U7G for nearly a year AND can honestly say, it is without doubt one of the best tv's I've owned to date. 👀👍When I first looked at upgrading from my former Samsung, I had to admit that I was shocked at how some of the top branded tv manufacturers / retailers failed on so many aspects especially when it came to PRICES. 😶The Hisense cost me £749.00 !! Most of the other tv's I was taking an interest in? Over £1000 !! Some of those did not even offer certain features that the Hisense DID. 😗 Worse still, a surprising number of so called newer models were costing a lot more than the earlier years models BUT had little more to offer et !! That to me was shocking. 😶So don't be taken in, by brand name HYPE. Pick the TV that gives you what YOU want for YOUR needs. Why opt for a gaming tv when you don't use it for gaming !! is a perfect example. I'm looking forward to upgrading the Hisense to the all new U8H !👍

      @@Lead1121 The U7G 65inch is well built and functions are excellent. Models DO however vary, according to which country you are in. I can only give opinion on the one I have.. It has been used daily on average up to 12 hours a day for over a year now. Picture quality is excellent, brightness, focus, contrast all work well. The Dolby Atmos functions with the right gear installed. I think Hisense has proven itself generally with what it offers both feature/performance wise against a lot of strong competition, to be much better VALUE for money. Ultimately and sad but true MANY manufacturers trade on their NAME to sell the item. Buying a Sony or a Samsung does NOT mean you are getting the same level of VALUE against such as Hisense et. I've used LG, Samsung, Sony for years.. They've all been good.. the only difference is how much they cost.. the Hisense is definitely VALUE for money.

I am looking to purchase a 48 or 50 inch (all I have room for) tv this fall for TV, Netflix / Hulu and concert dvd's (no gaming). My budget is around $1200 (funny I spent $2200 on the plasma). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. THX!

    • @mukavelli
      @mukavelli Рік тому +1

      I am not an expert but in my opinion at that size with that budget you can't go wrong with any TV from the bigger brands. I moved to a new place two years ago and bought the cheapest 65" TV I found, about 560Euros (TCL with android OS) and the quality is beyond expectations. It's a bit slow in the menu and startup, and I can notice light artifacts in very low light scenes but I can't complain at this price. Most people will not take advantage of the high end and more expensive models anyway, because the streaming services and the TV channels will never be as good as Full HD Bluerays and 4K Bluerays, even the pirated compressed look better than Netflix. Mine is connected to my PC, I never watch TV on it, so it's only for Movies and UA-cam, best quality guaranteed. Mine isn't OLED so I don't need to worry about burned imagine either.

    • @Lead1121
      @Lead1121 Рік тому

      Panasonic is amazingly durable and reliable, shame they’re so hard to get and priced out of my range. It’s hard, seems the newer TV’s get, the more components are added which means more things can go wrong. It’s honestly hard to say.
      I bought a Vizio 50 inch when I was in college for $300 honestly believing it would die on me within a few years (Vizio isn’t known for being durable). Still have it 6 years later. It’s honestly hit or miss.
      If you’re just using it for TV, you won’t need all the bells and whistles for gaming. I’m no expert but I suspect OLED will dim overtime. And probably out of your budget sadly.
      I’d recommend ALWAYS looking for a full array picture. This is a must for me and others. Mini LED is really good stuff as it shouldn’t sim like OLED probably will.
      If you go with a lower cost set, just know you get what you pay for unless you’re lucky (like me with my $300 tv). That doesn’t mean you need to drop $2,000 to have a good TV.
      Okay to sum it up, go for full array and Mini LED if you can but you’ll probably be in the price range of QLED’s (which are really good) vs OLED. I would stay away from OLED, even if it’s beyond beautiful, as you could experience burn in, dimming etc.
      I’m not too experienced with it but hit up Reddit for some conversations about some TV’s you might be interested in. Someone has probably asked the same question you have.
      Sorry, I know not super helpful as I don’t know much but these are just my thoughts

      @JulienGaudfroy 2 роки тому +2

      If you can sometimes control the brightness of the room or value evening viewings in that room as well, the new Sony A90K. Best OLED at that size you want. Will be decently bright, and the color accuracy, image processing quality smoke the competition. Now if you mostly use TV in that room when it is bright and don't want to control the brightness, don't buy OLED buy a bright QLED or mini LED. Example of what I mean : if you watch news and random shows during the day, but also use the same TV at night to watch blu-rays and Netflix, color accuracy and image quality may still me more important than brightness for you. Because the content you watch at night will benefit more. This is why I still have the old plasma in my very bright living room. It's a nightmare to watch during the day but I care more of the evening family watching of movies. If it was for my mum mainly watching shows during the day with sunlight coming in directly, LED all the way.

      Always set your TV color temperature to warm, and if there's a movie or film maker mode, put that up instead of sports or vivid. These are the industry references standard for movie and tv viewing. The rest is color calibration from that point.
      If you gaming on a newer console trun off Dynamic Tone Mapping or HGiG. This will allow you to go into the Xbox or Playstation setting and adjust the HDR 10% and 100% peak brightness without the TV doing its AI brightness calibration. Samsung doesn't allow this yet in its settings, so I would not recommend Samsung S95B(QD-OLED) to any gamer on it. Digital trends did a great job on the rewiew of the Samsung S95B explaining why it's not the best for gaming.
      Any questions please ask and I'll try to give you a answer or a thought on a TV if your looking at any.😊

    Not very tech savvy, so anyone with more knowledge’s opinion is very welcome. My lg tv that’s about 8 years old has been acting off (a few pixels that remain white on specific yet rare scenes for example) and I want to upgrade to a bigger size. As a gamer and movie/sports fanatic, which 85+ inch tv do you recommend most? Was considering the Sony Bravia 77’ but prefer something bigger since I have a large bedroom. I appreciate your opinions in advanced 🙏🏻

    I am an ex technician so my eyesight is good. I have a TV that cost me $160 US about 5 years ago. I am yet to see any sense in paying anymore than $230 US for any TV. Infact at our local Post Office here in Australia we can get a kick ass smart TV for $279 delivered free to our door. That is AUD so you would have to convert to USA $.

    Zooming out you suddenly become aware that all of this is happening on a TV screen - an epic space opera playing out for someone’s entertainment. But the actors don’t know they’re actors. To them, this galactic orgy is as real as real gets.
