In this moment in time, we need these words to have it all make sense. Sometimes I believe we have these different ages of trials and tribulations because this is what mankind believes is wanted by the masses or it is what they want to push on all of us. I'm standing by in 2024 to keep by any means, the life I believe in..

I see this world moving in a direction that makes me so dam happy my kids life was so much simpler than the kids today. When my daughter was 7 she was so sweet in her 2nd grade mind. Her friends were few. Her life was not complicated her wants were minutes compared to kids today.
My fear is for my grandchildren. They got to have a phone by 3yrs old, a tablet and since the covid virus and kids did virtual learning you got 5yr olds asking for laptops. Kids dont go outside anymore. Playgrounds use to be packed not anymore. Its really sad. My grands are growing up in a world of mass who can lie the best & dont let me get started on the they it them heshe people. My grands and great grands dear sweet Jesus i hope they know Him.

I second that. I met a gentleman at my job that told me he fought in Vietnam. I thanked him for his Service but he refused to accept it. He told me his job was to go in and eliminate all the women and children. That broke my heart you could clearly tell that haunted him clean up to his dying day. I almost started crying in front of him because I knew that's not what he wanted to do but that's what he was told to do. RIP Barry and thank you for your service

He was a strong military man for 20 + years and would not discuss the horrible things he saw. He taught me and my siblings to love all and not judge by the color of someone's skin because the man in the hole next to him fighting was his brother no matter his skin color. We grew up loving all and everyone ❤️ 💜 💕 Great dad and wonderful greek mom . May God bless us all!!! ✝️

Almost 10 months have gone by without her and I won't make it to March 05, 2025. She was 15lbs full of love and she truly was an Angel, by every letter of the word. Mine was similar. He was a navy frog man ; before the seal program. He was heavily involved in the cold war, believe me ,those guys saw plenty of action. And, sometimes had to do the unthinkable; he paid his dues and then some. He led a very productive life after that , but had night terrors the rest of his life. He said he never had dreams anymore, he just didn't remember. It may be a terrible thing to say; but I am glad he doesn't have to see what he fought against so hard; communism on American soil.

This has always been one of my favs. My dad is the reason why I have such a love for lyricism. This part right here tho. 3:33 “I drive by the homeless sleeping on a cold dark street, like bodies in an open grave. Underneath the broken old sign that used to read ‘Jesus Saves.’
A mile away live the rich folk and I see how they’re living it up. While the poor they eat from hand to mouth, the rich drinking from a golden cup. And it just makes me wonder why so many lose and so few win, give me something to believe in.”
    ❤ love you dad!

This band is a multifaceted multi generational group. With the struggles they have had they somehow come out giving 1000 percent I am so glad to have grown up with them. Their music saved my life I was home less at 13 with 2 changes of clothes a Walkman and a few cassettes and everyday started with cry tough and it got me up whether it be in the rain or a friends car and helped me look at life as something to work for. All these years later I managed to make something of myself and I have to thank them for lighting the fire for me that still flames today. I don't regret my life and they helped me in a way only time could showed me. 💯 I am lucky to have had that I don't know what I would be if I didn't have the right energy to choose my path. But I know that their joy and love for music. Saved my life. Sounds silly to some but here I am and as long as they are I think we can all agree even in this downtime like the message in this song says. We gotta cry to, to get what we want even if all want nothing but a good time. Just never give up. Wherever you are in life what ever gets you through the day. Be proud. They didn't give up and even after the decades they gave us their best and the message is clear. Life is short don't miss a moment wasting energy on the things that bring you down or can'tcontrol. Peace and passion rock strong!

My heart beaks to see the homeless, as I have been there before. There IS someone to believe in, but we , being human , make choices. All have consequences, both good and bad. Everytime I hear this song it reminds me of my grandmother. It was the last Thanksgiving that we spent together. She was in the living room, watching TV and I was in my bedroom listening to my poison CD. This song came on and the next thing I know, my grandmother, with her walker, had walked into my room and asked me to play this song again. When the song ended, she said that's a very special song. She asked to hear some other songs, so I played Every Rose Has It's Thorn. She said that's a really good song too. She asked what else do they sing. So I played Unskinny Bop. When that finished, my grandmother said, "Well I guess they have a wide range of talent" and then she walked back out to the living room. It's the last memory I have of my grandmother before she passed away.

Sat it next to my coffee table n got something to eat. As i sat esting my pumpkin pie i started to cry. Just a wow moment. My section Sargent was a vet of that war and while drinking one night this song came across the radio. He told me a story about coming home from the war a Vietnam vet greeted them coming off the bus while this song played. Everyone on the bus adopted this song as their own.
