Loudoun Castle - Scotland's Abandoned Theme Park | Lost Scotland

Opened in 1995 and closed in 2010, take a walk around the theme park as nature reclaims the rusting rollercoaster and the carousel.

if you look at the planning applications for here,even going back to when cadona owned the park,you will see many refusals
much of the blame should be put on to east ayrshire council,for not allowing progress

Music drowns out what is being said. Went there a couple of times as a kid. Wasn't the best theme park and when I went didn't have many rides to choose from. The main ones were the log ride, the Wallace sword (aka the braveheart) and the roller coaster. But you generally didn't have to queue to get on the rides, or at least the times I went. I stayed on the braveheart for 5 times in a row.

What a waste. It's surprising the rides and attractions were not sold-off to recoup obvious financial losses. Not something you expect to see in Scotland.
