Wow, what an emotional testimony, Paula! Keto is a way of life for me. In July of 2021, I was diagnosed with Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS-which is a form of breast cancer). I had a lumpectomy in September of 2021. I refused the recommended radiation and hormone blockers. My oncologist was not happy with me, but I decided that fasting along with Keto/Ketovore and (more importantly), calling on my Maker, would be my treatment. I see my oncologist every 6 months and I am doing well! Praise God! I am so happy that you are doing so well, DEAR PAULA!❤🙏🏻❤️ p.s. I love your new opening.😊

Great testimony. I remember the exact moment I decided I had to do something. With the same symptoms as you, my life was miserable! That was around January 2016 and when you're as sick as we were you never forget it. At 57 I don't worry about the scale now and lost about 50lbs and feel amazing. I breezed through menopause. At this point I do sometimes have a treat but that's it. My WOE of eating is keto/carnivore 95%of the time. It works!

I am three months into carnivore, I'm still craving butter and salt, and I freely enjoy both. I am healing and losing visceral fat by intermittent fasting, OMAD, and just finished a 48 hour fast for healing. I am feeling a 40 percent drop in joint pain. I had given up all hope. I'm so glad I just stumbled upon Dr. Ken Berry.

It is strange how everyone talks about having a moment when they decided to do something about their health; I had mine in mid-April; it was about not feeling energetic about anything and having constant pain; I started the carnivore diet then and I'm continuing this journey; I definitely feel more energetic; my leg pains come and go; however I am trying to rehab my knees since I was not walking much so I have been working out. Weight wise I have lost a total of 30 lbs; it is coming off slow and easy; which is what I wanted; I have no idea how much weight I will eventually loose but its primarily about getting healthy and enjoying life. I have included a veggie occasionally; and yes I have cheated on special occasions; I have to think of this as way of eating that has no restrictions because if I start feeling deprived I will not stay on it; but I always go back to carnivore the next day or even the next meal.

@@houston5568 I agree, I am a 72 year old woman who got tired of my complaints not being addressed. I wish I had learned this 20 years ago. Before I had to have twosjor spinal surgeries ten years apart, both knees replaced, 2 bunion surgeries, just to try to stay upright. And I was looking for an anti inflammatory diet. I wanted to just find an approach that would help me live the remainder of my days in less pain, but found a renewed zest for life. I wish everyone good health.

I wish I was brave enough to have a video, about my husband and I's story....similar as yours...but it was the movie "The Magic Pill" that a neighbor suggested I watch. I cried the first time I watched it, then I watched it again with my husband. He and I went full on Keto the next day!!!!!!!!! It changed our lives forever!!!!!!! 150 lbs between the both of us. He was on 17 pills!!!!!!!!!! He is now on only two (they are essential though) and I'm on none! He reversed his diabetes and the inflammation is gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am posting your videos each day in October, on our keto facebook group!!!!!!!! I love your videos. I'm a 57 year old woman who is a Christian!!!!!!

Yesterday I told you that I had done carnivore for the whole month of September and was so frustrated because although I had lost 23 lbs for the month I hadn’t lost any inches AT ALL! So last night I decided to “ treat myself” by eating pizza and potato chips. I felt so awful immediately! This morning my arthritis in my foot was all inflamed! I can hardly stand on my foot! I’m not going to beat myself up about the “ cheat” last night but I did realize that while I may not have seen a bunch of inches come off I had eliminated all the inflammation in my body and how I had felt so good during the month of September. Today I’m right back on my carnivore journey and this will be my way if life. I know the inches will eventually will come off and I know I just have to move more to see results!

I just started a month ago on a flexible carnivore diet which is doing fully carnivore for some meals and keto here and there. I am loving it! I feel like carnivore is the natural ozempic cause it helps losing your cravings. Lost only 5 pounds but I also lift weight so I could have gained muscle weight as well. 🥰

Me, too. Primarily carnivore, but when the mood strikes, I add some of my favorite veggies to a meal. I still find it amazing that once you cut sugar and starchy carbs from your diet, the cravings cease. I also appreciate the cessation of the post-meal energy crash and the absence of incessant joint pain. I feel twenty years younger. I'll never go back to the SAD.

👍That is my experience also. Started slowly as an experiment at beginning of Covid 2020, not for weight loss. Concerned about many health issues.. Didn't measure body, but shrinkage was profound, as if by magic, quite surprising. Needed all new clothes. I'm 74, in the best shape of my life. Everything is better: skin better, joints better, constant hunger better. Important to get enough salt in diet, replace electrolytes lost in excess water from fat burning.. My BMI is 19, doctor said not to loose more weight, but my weight stable at 120 pounds.
My husband was in it with me and we won't go back to SAD high.carb Standard American Diet.
We also accidentally saw, on UA-cam videos, about insulin resistance, so why measure sugar in blood instead of insulin? Your body can be bad off before sugar level changes.😂

I started IF and eating low carb (ish) about 8 weeks ago to see if it would help with my menopause symptoms. I didn't want to go on hormones. It was like I was fine and then boom ... I started having extreme fatigue, joint pain , hip pain, back pain, brain fog, sleep problems, weight gain and I am sure I am forgetting something. The IF and cutting out ultra processed foods has been working. All of the things I listed above have improved in this short period of time. I truly believe the horrible foods we are eating is killing us :(

I was looking for inspiration to get back into the keto/ carnivore lifestyle, I had been doing really well on this WOE then my 24 year old son passed away in April🥹 and I allowed myself to veer off track little by little until six months later all my inflammation and aches are back. In my grief I’ve been making bad food choices . I’m a Christian and leaning on God for my healing in my grief journey and health , I felt him nudge me back to ketovore . I had so much of that too. Everything hurt. Lots of arthritis pain during perimenopause. After I was wrongly diagnosed with rheumatoid arthrirtis, I did tons of research and found that so much was due to lack of estrogen. I had no idea how much estrogen is responsible for. I went to a GYN(1st time in 27 years) was put on bio identical hormones and a few months later, 95% of my pain is gone. I've been a vegetarian for 3 decades and eat about 150g or whole carbs a day. I'm not sure I could go back to eating meat, so I'm glad my issue wasn't diet. I'm glad that you're feeling better. You look great!

Wow Paula! I relate to almost everything that you have mentioned! I’m a Christian and my name is Paula!
I stay sick all the time with uti’s and joint pain! I can’t remember a time when I didn’t wake up with a headache! Sometimes they are excruciating.
    I’m 5’5 and weigh about 175.
I would love to lose some weight but I’m tired of being sick… Right now I have another urinary tract infection and have changed medication‘s or antibiotics twice trying to find something that works. And the week before that I had strep throat…
I started trying to do this way of eating 3 wks ago. I’m trying to learn. I’m on a very fixed income but God always supplies my needs. I have done low carb before but right now I’m doing carnivore.
I appreciated your journey and it was an encouragement to me! Thank you ❤

Wow. I have so many of the same issues you spoke of. I keep "playing" around with keto, never sticking to it or doing it seriously. I'm tired of being sick and tired. And I'm afraid at my next physical, the blood work will show diabetes. I'm going to watch more of your videos. More keto videos. I have to get serious.

Just going to share if it motivates you. I had been pretty much at an ideal weight until my thirties. I became a therapist and gained a bunch of weight caring for others. It seemed like something too big to tackle(the amount of weight to lose). I started eating during a window once per day, and basically eating pretty much no carbs. I never counted calories. I eat meat, fish, eggs, cheese. Basically I pick my protein for the day. Without getting on the scale much at all, lost eighty pounds in a little over two years. One of those years did not get on the scale at all, and to my shock had lost another thirty pounds without knowing it. Also, I have a Nu Wave oven which cooks steak to perfection...must eat yummy stuff. Blood work never better. Triglycerides lowest ever whilst eating lots of eggs, meat, and cheese. Good luck. You can do it! I just tell myself "this is the way I eat now", and do not think of it as a forever thing(trick my mind, sort of...like not thinking of it in a forever way)

Hi Paula, I am not sure you will get this message, it's a short one, first thank you for this video, I have followed you every since you started, I never started keto officially, because I didn't feel I could stick to it, until just recently I have became inflammed, hurting everywhere and just trying to get through the day, so because of your testimony, I am going to do keto and am very serious about it. The foods make me hungry and I have nothing to lose, but weight lol. So I just want to say Thank you so so much, everything you said reminded me of myself joint pain etc except fir the migraines, but I am walking around like an old woman already, I have to change this life style asap. You might remember my name not sure, but I followed you for along time, then I stopped, well here I am again. I just bought your book too.
    Congratulations 🎊

I was having terrible acid reflux before Keto. I've tried it in the past but didn't count calories and gained weight, which I didn't want to do. But I started again last May and have I haven't had acid reflux yet. I was also just under the count for prediabetes. With my most recent doctor's appointment, my numbers aren't even near anymore. And I just got back from a 13-day cruise and feel great, and my clothes didn't get tight.

I am now doing what you are doing last month. Three days a week no carb Carnivore and two days Ketovore with some carbs around 10 to 15 a day! @Low Carb Revelation Paula🎉❤. You were one of the 1st YT channels I watched last July when I started my Keto journey!!! A year + later @70 I am 118lbs which I dreamed of being again 😂. OMG I forgot how bad my sciatica was!! Although it was only a 20 lb weight loss it was more the cleansing of my system of sugar. I was a carb addict! Now I am a chicharone ( the crackling little ones) addict. I don't buy Keto convenience foods - expensive and I don't believe all the sugar substitute products are good for our bodies- IMHO. Why cheat? My health and looks are more important--- and Dancing!!! 3 or 4 hours with NO pain🎉🎶👍. Much love to you and keep it going for all of us out here

That opening litany of problems was a real attention grabber, I have to say! Especially as some of those things I absolutely identify with! The most sympathy, as a fellow sufferer, is for the migraines - even now many people are not aware that it's not just a bad headache but rather a synaptic storm tearing your brain apart :ouch:

I have tried Keto in the past and have done amazing and have felt even more amazing but then I don’t know what happens I go back to my old way and then feel like crap again. Not sure what the heck is wrong with me, because I too have inflammation and have autoimmune (psoriasis) which has gotten worse in the past 2 years which I am under a lot of stress with the passing of my mother, caring for my father who has Parkinson’s and my failing marriage. I so need to get my behind in the right track again!

Good morning from Texas! I just found your channel this morning and I had to go to Amazon and order your cookbook! I did try keto a while back. I felt wonderful on it. My skin tags were all gone. I did lose weight and for some reason I got back on sugar and carbs. I say for some reason but I guess it’s because once you start back on sugar. it’s very very hard to stop, at least for me. So I’m looking forward to seeing some additional recipes to put in my wheelhouse and do the darn thing this time. 🎉

Hi Paula, I too started a weight loss journey for myself. It was back in sept of 2022. It was Optiva. I ate fueling 5 times a day. It helped me, but truthfully the food was horrible,in my opinion. I left Optiva, now I focus on meat, veggies, and try to keep my carbs low. I too have aches, and pains. Most are tolerable at this point. But I am down 40 lbs. I feel so much better. I’m happy, and I too will never go back to the way I ate before. It’s a choice we all make every day. I choose this way of eating also. Thanks for the inspiration every day!
