- In this video I make a stunning Live Edge Coffee Table with a Waterfall edge, Bowtie Inlays, and an aluminum leg. I use Woodpeckers brand new flattening jig to get the slab flat, and then some basic woodworking skills to make it come to life.

@@John_Malecki I wasn't being sarcastic. I do really like that work shop. Why are you happy to move? Unless your new work shop is bigger
You do amazing work...and I feel inspired to attempt some of your projects myself. Just found your channel...and love your projects. Great format and video flow. Thanks for sharing!!

This is an exquisite piece of your workmanship, John. There's nothing I don't like about it...the video edits are great too.
Really cool table. Your builds a strong. Good job
Appreciate it Fred!
Very nice sir. Definitely my favorite one of your builds. I love using metal bowties
Glad you dig it! It’s for sure one of my top 3
@@John_Malecki have you considered doing notched ends when using square tube? Gives you a sealed joint without having to miter them. Super quick and easy with a bandsaw and gives a really polished look. Just a thought.
Keep up the good work!
This build is gorgeous. I have been wanting to do a waterfall table for the longest time.
Looks like now is the time !!!
@@John_Malecki, you are right I am going to add it to my project list.
Yes! Punch it in the face !
Believe me buddy I'm swinging for the fences. I just recently started my own channel, but I work 80+ hrs a week at my full time job, so my build videos are going to be far apart. To compensate I have a beer review segment, that i can post regularly.
Nice. Listen to our podcast , made for profit. We talk about how to grow a channel for side hustlers all the time !
Looks great:)
Thanks Robert!
Good Work , nice table and realy cool video
Artwork
I didn't think they allowed welding of aluminum in Pittsburgh 😜 Awesome table man, love the tie in of the bowties and that leg.
Hahaha it’s the Wild West here .... we do whatever
Love the table came out so sick I had to show my wife on IG. Funny tho we both thought it was a huge office table. So when I saw the intro of this video and how much smaller it is then we originally thought. First thing I thought was "what is this a school for ants" Zoolander lol. Looks awesome man.
Hahahahah thats hilarious. yea dude its just a coffee table. That slab would have to be sooooo big to be a conference size
That is one sexy coffee table! Nice job.
Thanks Jonny! Glad you dig it
Great build John, looks awesome! Woodpecker makes great quality high precision stuff, but it definitely comes at a price. I would venture this jig will retail for close to a grand.
All good things come at a good price. I believe it’s for sale so you can check the price on their site
There is only one Paul Jackman, but there is some magic in that table!
Love those bowties! Crushing it as usual John!
Thanks James !
Hey John, really nice coffee table!! im a maker myself and im looking in getting a branding iron just like the one you used, can you help me out!
Go Browns!!!
I bought spit out my coffee when you said "massive point sticking out the side" lol 😂😂😂
Hahaha it’s not small !
wow .... 😮😮😮
Thank you!
Well that isn't child friendly! 🤣 Oh well awesome table, what a beast! 👍
Haha my life isn’t very child friendly
I saw your table in a woodworking magazine at a Barnes & Noble store today. It was for an advertisement but I was surprised they DID NOT credit you in anyway.
Appreciate your videos. Your marriage of metal into wood is always motivating. How do you get customers for your work and how did you get your furniture business off the ground?
Hey Gary,
I have a podcast where we talk about this all the time, it is called Made For Profit. Check it out. Also look into my website . Johnmalecki.com for more info on how i got started!
"Lightning? What lighting?" Your videos have come quite a long way in just a couple years.
Great info and videos John ! What are the screw down holders you're using on the slab? Where can I buy them?
круто
This is a gorgeous table design! I might have missed it, but where did you get the metal inlays? Also, it there a way to adjust the height on that woodpecker flattening sled?
The inlays were a gift i got years ago and unfortunately cant remember who. The jigs vertical adjustment is based on what you screw it to (can use spacers) or the depth of the router you're using
@@John_Malecki and I've even seen an extender/spacer that makes your router bit have even more of a reach in this type of situation.
When i first saw the metal ones i was like not wholly sure on that like but man they set it off real nice - found some here if ya still looking 👍 www.custommade.com/butterflybowtie-brass-copper-stainless-inlay/by/roguemachine/
Awesome! That's a mean looking table! The "Kid Katcher"?
Hahaha yes ! A nice little a lot to nestle into it.
Hey John! Amazing table! How did you align the holes for the wood dowels in the joint?
Dude you should totally sell the steel bow ties. A lot of people don’t have the means to make them. I would so buy them. Love this table brother!!!
Haha I bought them/ was given them
Dame I thought I had a million dollar idea for you lol ohh well
Great video John! the metals bow tie's work great with the metal legs! Have you stopped using your 16000 grit wetstone to sharpen your chisels (like rob cosman?) anyway... loved the video
I still use it to flatten the backs.
Great👏🏼👏🏼🇧🇷
Thanks Alessandro!!
Awesome build. New subscriber. Think there will be any issues with wood expansion and contraction around the metal bow ties? Love incorporating metal into woodworking
It shouldnt be an issue!
Excellent build John, wow man awesome! Love the metal bowties, did you make those? The only ones I found were on Etsy for $25 each.
Love it John. Great video. What was the finish you wiped on?
It’s makerbrand oil
John what is the source for the branding iron ? Been looking for this for a long time !
