    After watching all these videos I feel lucky my pan in my 2004 2500hd has a drain plug only one I’ve seen that has it

      Yea not many came with a drain plug, those come in handy when u over fill the tranny or wanna do a quick drain and fill

    Tight fit maybe a little bit of new tranny fluid on the outside of that clear tubing. Thanks for the video, the more you know how to work on your own vehicle the more you know it's done correctly.

    I was wondering about the viscosity of the oil you used. You mentioned it was thinner? Ive heard good things about the Lucas additive. Still pulling strong ? Great video. Thanks

    is 1st i hv seen with good advise to check bolts on valve body. I wooda bet that hose was gonna blow out. Wish mine had the trans temp gauge

    • @cali530marcos3
      @cali530marcos3  2 роки тому +1

      I thought the hose was going to blow out too but it fits snug. U can replace ur cluster with one from an escalade or denali. But it has to be same year and of course ur mileage will be different

    I have 2002 chevy silverado 2500hd 6.0 do all 2500hds have the 4l80e transmission?

    • @cali530marcos3
      @cali530marcos3  Рік тому +3

      If it’s a gas then yea, the 8.1 gas engines, and duramax engines have the Allison transmission if I’m not mistaken

    I have a 2000 5.7 vortec. How many miles did you get out of yours before needing to rebuild. I Heard these had problems with cracked heads.

    • @cali530marcos3
      @cali530marcos3  11 місяців тому

      This engine gave out at 289,000, what gave out was a lifter roller broke and messed up the cam, I took it all apart and rebuilt it, engine has 9,000 miles and running strong

      I watched a guy tear down a transmission that had an additive put in the transmission and every damn seal was ruined not sure if it was Lucas or not or if it was the Lucas stop leak or stop slip but it was crazy every seal swelled

    Does pushing the fluid out of the clear hose empty the pan basically?

    • @cali530marcos3
      @cali530marcos3  12 днів тому

      Just another way to try and get the maximum amount of old fluid out of the system

  • @badfrankleatherworks2658
    @badfrankleatherworks2658 3 роки тому +4

    did any issues ever come up after this ? So many claim it will cause problems i don't see how, with that nasty ass fluid i cant see how this would harm.

    • @cali530marcos3
      @cali530marcos3  3 роки тому +3

      no issues came up, took it on a 2hr trip and shifted great

    • @duneattack
      @duneattack 2 роки тому +3

      The people that claim fluid flush causes problems are idiots. If their their friction disks are so worn in the first place that they need all the lose friction material in the oil to grab the steels then yes a fluid flush will result in their transmission slipping..... BUT the failure is not the result of the fluid flush. The failure is the result of worn friction disks and substandard fluid maintenance. Basically their transmission was fucked in the first place, and the fluid flush just uncovered a preexisting problem.
