    I have a friend who was trying to get pregnant with her husband and for some reason it just wasn't happening so they went to see a fertility specialist. My friend forgot she had an IUD. She forgot she was on birth control and that's why they couldn't get pregnant.
    Edit: For everyone questioning how she forgot about it.... I genuinely don't know. She is super embarrassed about the fact she didn't remember it, so if anyone brings it up she pretends she has no idea what they're talking about.

    I mean i would side with the wife if the husband was forcing her to have children, but based solely on wht we know from this scene, I believe that the husband was never informed by his wife that she didn't want children. Remember this is based solely on this scene so no need to roast me if stuff happens in future episodes. Anyways, I think it's a bit unreasonable to say that the husband forced her cuz he didn't even know his wife didn't want kids. The wife just played along and pretended to want to start a family when she clearly tried to prevent it, which must've truly hurt him. The only thing he could've done was probably ask her and check on her more and more to make sure she rlly wanted it but based on wht he said "we have been trying to start a family" or smth, we can kinda imply that she consented to try and have a family with this guy. I don't support any act of forcing someone to bear children, but still in this scenario the wife should've told the truth and talked abt it with the husband instead of hiding it from him

    I get that in good conscience she couldn’t perform the procedure and harvest her eggs, but the husband will have control over all medical decisions as her next of kin etc, so couldn’t he technically override her decision??

    • @laurenbruges8784
      @laurenbruges8784 4 роки тому +1

      Avery Murphy but she can’t give consent for anything so surely all medical decisions go to her husband? Or is that maybe only about like life saving medical procedures?

      Avery Murphy ah right, well that makes sense. I totally get she didn’t want to have kids, I just thought the next of kin thing might have overridden her decision. Medical law is hazy sometimes 😂.

    • @ahvin4764
      @ahvin4764 4 роки тому +1

      The woman consistently said she wanted children with her husband, if it was true it would have had her implied consent for a child, hence why the hospital said ok. She however lied to her husband and was using birth control which then shows that she did not consent

    • @kevinfox298
      @kevinfox298 4 роки тому

      @@ahvin4764 This man was really insistent on this point of wanting a baby, enough that she might not have felt comfortable enough to explain her side of the issue. And, being real, he might not have shown how strong his desire was to start a family until after they were married. If she really didn't want a baby, would she have married a man who felt that strongly about it? And if her stance was something she felt she could compromise on, would she have gotten an IUD? It's sad that the man felt lied to, and that she didn't feel she could tell him how she felt and felt the need to get an IUD, but if they were honest and communicated properly, they would have either found a way to compromise, decided not to marry and be with people who wanted the same things, or at least gained clarity on the situation -- maybe she didn't want to get pregnant due to a health issue or fear or something, but still wanted children, for example?
