Which product category should I do for the next video? I summarized all the product details on my blog so you can refer back to it: genamarie.co/2022/11/most-used-shampoos-conditioners-of-2022-drugstore-high-end/
In March, I was stressed because of work and faced heavy hair fall Consequently, this year, I started using litlleeextra coco onioon shampoo and oil and their neem wooden comb for detangling. I've been following this routine for almost 3 and a half months at this point. I'm happy to say my hair fall has reduced significantly. I apply oil, then use the shampoo, and wash using normal water, finishing with the neem wood comb. This new routine have really worked for me.
I've been applying cocoonioon shampoo and oil for a few months. It’s great for hair growth and it has a pleasant smell. My hair fall is lessening after every use.
For hair loss - Mielle Rosemary Mint Strengthening Shampoo stopped my hair shedding and hair loss as well as Rogaine. Hormonal, autoimmune, and genetic hair loss doesn't get addressed often so I thought I would share this. I follow the Rosemary shampoo with Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair mask twice a week (very thin hair is greasy). This is the fine hair and hair loss cure for me.
Thank you SO much, Gena. I am pretty sure I’m protein sensitive, because all my products were working great. Then, suddenly, my hair felt like straw and wasn’t softening in the shower - instant wet frizz. Yikes. Thanks for listing the amount of protein and moisture level in each product! I can’t wait to see a video on stylers!!
Happy Sunday I most definitely need to update my shampoos and conditioners..Old reliable has to end 😐.. Thank you GenaMarie ..Curl Smith is one of favorites Noughty Enjoy your day 🍁
Yay!! Been looking forward to this yearly review. Thanks for the updated info & am enjoying NYM, Curlsmith & Noughty products you recommended 2021-present. 🙂
Fantastic video. This is why I continue to watch and trust your reviews. I love the brio gio green deep conditioner. I used the new spray leave in conditioner from their green line- SO good! Thx again! ❤
Thanks for the suggestions. I have a subscription to Prose but it's not cheap and I'm not sure it's been worth the money. I definitely have been wanting to try other brands. Have you ever tried Strands?
Please do a category of creams and gels.... And which products do you recommend or stay away from to combat frizz with humidity in the summer, and which do you recommend in fall/winter with the dry air. My hair has multiple personalities, and with the low humidity it is finally behaving. Summer was just awful. Please help! Thank you, Gina!!!
Should i use a deep conditioner with high protein (like the one u reccomend) for my medium porosity hair once/twice a month? I currently use a shampoo that has protein, a wash out and a leave in conditioner that are protein free
Any thoughts on Hairitage products. Def drug store but they smell amazing. Seem to do a good job. Curious if you have any thoughts. Thanks for all your excellent tips. Cheers!
Could you tell me if all of the Noughty products smell the same? I tried the conditioner from the wavy line and it smelled like wet dog and lingered all day! Not a fan!!!😂
It seems like you have a lot of products. I do too as I will buy them based on your recommendations to try 😂 some are near or older than 12 months. Most have the 12 or 18 month symbol on them. I’m concerned about the effectiveness and bacteria that may change with product age from opening. Thoughts?
Protein is great for strengthening the hair and helping it retain moisture. Those with damaged or weak hair should incorporate protein int their products. Some people who have very healthy hair (low porosity hair) and/or coarse textured strands may want to avoid protein ingredients because they don't need the excess strength and it can make the hair feel stiff. Personally, I only really pay attention to proteins in deep conditioners and stylers because I find they have more of an in impact.
What do you do about an oily scalp but dry ends? I’ve been looking for a new shampoo but I don’t know where to start. I don’t clarify too much and I don’t put conditioner on my roots.
That's so funny! I've had that AG snow mushroom mask for a while now, & I also thought it was protein free & clearly missed the hydrolyzed quinoa ingredient 🤦🏽♀️ I never look for moisture &only products anyway, just more moisturizing products if my hair feels like it needs it. My hair loves a lot of protein so even when I need moisture I still need protein, but I'm just surprised I missed that lol. Weird
Great video as always! I love the FoB curly line and the booster shots! I have a question. I’ve tried the Twist Sunday Feels and the Not Your Mothers deep conditioning mask and BOTH of them made my hair seize up. It’s like my hair instantly became dry while it was wet and tangled up immediately. All I could do was wash them out and start over with shampoo and conditioner. Any idea what ingredients my hair may not like? It seemed like their ingredients were different and I couldn’t figure out why it happened. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Are you sensitive to coconut oil? For some reason, my hair often reacts to coconut oil like it's a protein, which means after a couple weeks my hair behaves as though I have protein overload. Apparently if the coconut oils are hydrolized, it might be better- I've been too nervous to try though, as it's a pain to undo if I'm wrong!
Thank You sooo much for doing this video Gena Marie 😇🩷!!! I will be definitely trying some of these and hopefully those huge tangles in this high porosity, fine damaged hair will respond. You have been a God-send for us girls that are newer to this and struggling 😘💯💕

Not sure if you've done K18 or Opalex....

Thanks for sharing! I'm dealing with perimenopause, so my hair is shedding a lot and my hair is thinning 😢😢
Thank you SO much, Gena.

Hav e you used any products from Sally’s beauty supply? Love your videos, glad I found your channel this morning!
Thank you for this informative video. I appreciate the time you take to review and list the products. Are the shampoos safe for color treated hair?

Plss i can really use a piece of advice
What is the best product with protein in it for wavy and curly hair
Love this video with all that helpful info! Have you tried the Aveda curly line of products? I never see anyway using or reviewing them.
Yeah! I have a video using the pink line. I got good volume but overall my hair didnt hold up on next day
Would you do it for stylers, please? I love your comments and follow your advises. Thanks

Can you please make a video about single strand knots...
Are either of the clarifying shampoos color friendly?

Why would we not want protein in a conditioner? Thank you!🌹
