I think it would be really cool if you did a video on some of the Korean and Japanese hair care lines like Ryo. I’ve been interested in their shampoos specifically because they’re supposed to help with hair loss. Interested to hear your opinions on them.
i use ryo and while it’s really great at cleansing i don’t think i’ve noticed any new hair growth or a decrease in hair loss. i will say it has a heavy herbal scent which might be a turn off to some people
Hi Abbey, I know Oribe is considered a luxury brand and is more expensive. Would you consider, though, doing a review of their shampoo, conditioners, masks, etc.? I know you have randomly reviewed a few Sephora VIPs, but a video solely on Oribe would be sooo nice. Especially with the Sephora sale and holidays coming up to know which products to splurge on. Thank you for considering this.🙂
Yay, thank you for making this a series, Abbey! I've seen that OGX hair mask on the shelves somewhere near me, either Target or Kroger and wondered about it, so I'm glad you talked about it. You do such amazing products reviews, thank you for all your hard work (also loved seeing the dogs!) 💞
That ion keratin replenishing mist sounds great! Maybe a video on Sally's Generic line, Ion and any other sally brands that look promising....thanks for reviewing drug store products.
Loved this video! I cant wait to see that bond showdown video you mentioned . There’s so many bond repair products that have come out wince the beginning of this year. And I’ve really been looking forward to your opinion on NYM’s tough love line, so I'm glad to have heard it today and to hear more in the future. It there were another brand id be interested in hearing about, it would be Verb’s Bonding line, though I’m not sure if they count as drugstore or not
I'd love if you did an ingredient call out video! Like what you look for (or tend to avoid) in certain types of hair products and why and how far down the label or something like that! I'd be first in line for that one! I feel like your reviews are based both in personal experience/preference but also ingredient driven and I like that!
I finally tried the L’Oréal Bond repair on your recommendation 💜💜💜 I love it! My hair is getting better feeling with each wash ⭐️ and the OGX coconut oil too!!! Your reviews are soooo helpful!!!! Keep up the good work! 💜💜💜
Can you pretty pretty pretty please do a video on drugstore-only product recommendations (like everything from pre-wash to wash routine to after wash routine to styling products) for a specific goal of silky, soft, glowing, shiny hair?
I took the Not Your Mother's scalp sunscreen on a vacation last month, and I did really like it. My scalp did not get burned, and it even gave my roots a little bit of grit which added volume without making them feel greasy. I still prefer Coola's scalp sunscreen, but this Not Your Mother's one is a decent affordable alternative if you really don't want to wear a hat in the sun.
Sally’s generic line review would be a fantastic video idea. Please do that if possible. I’ve seen so many dupes but don’t really know what to look for so I come to the hair expert.
Hey Abbey! Was wondering if you could do a video on LED masks - maybe including some for different budgets! I seen your old video about the led mask but just wondering if you have recommendations of what to look for for a budget option! Thanks❤
Do you happen to have a video about seborrheic dermatitis? I definitely suffer with this especially with the change in seasons so would love to hear your take on products, how to maintain and calm scalp itch when it flares!
Agree about the nozzle of the leave-in spray! I love the smell, its a great heat protectant and does help my curls be more defined, but the nozzle is so wonky! Also, mushrooms are often used in skin care products for moisturization, I would guess it would have the same effect for hair care? Love your videos as always!
I have used the Hair Therapy mask from Eva NYC...I was very surprised and how nice my hair felt after I used it. I got it years ago in an IPSY bag...I've frequently bought it ever since. I completely understand the feeling of not wanting to reach for it all the time but it truly is a guilt free purchase that I enjoy the effects after I use it. For reference: my hair is long, medium density, heavily highlighted but overall relatively healthy.
Would you consider doing a review of Brad Mondo's or Guy Tang's haircare lines? Also, some Asian hair care is meant for dark hair (will stain blond hair) just so you know. Have had several friends find this out the hard way. I have long dark wavy hair, my husband has long blond stick straight hair (not color treated) and it is amazing how differently our hair reacts. Often times the products you recommend don't work for me but are like magic for him. His hair gets snarls and tangles where mine rarely does. Thank goodness I can pass the products on that do not work for me and he will use them. I also wish many drug store lines would tone down the scents. My migraine brain cannot handle the scents even though they work well and men don't always want that parfume smell. I also want to say I love how organized your videos are. The links, time stamps, etc. It really makes it easy to find the information.
Love these videos! You are my go-to person for drugstore hair products. For some reason, ion products and sally beauty products dont seem to work well on me. Thanks for trying all of them and reviewing!
Thanks to you I finally decided to give a chance to OGX penetrating oil and I swear my hair has never looked better, I have coarse hair and every other oil I have tried did well but this one is the best! ❤
Hair not holding a curl can be due to broken bonds within the hair shaft or product build up. I recommend using an amla powder hair mask from Hennasooq. I henna my hair and henna can loosen curl patterns, so amla powder is added to henna to improve and maintain curl patterns.
I am so curious.... Where do you store all these products????? Wow! That was a lot! I appreciate how hard you work for us, thank you.💖. Many blessings💖💖💖
You mentioned that you'll be doing a video on drugstore bonding products and I can't wait to see that but I'd also like to see higher end brands as well! For example, the following brands have bonding products - Biolage, Paul Mitchell, Verb, Seven.
Hey, I,m from Brasil, so we don’t have all the brands abbey talks about, only Dove, Pantene, loreal elvive and treseme, but the influencers that talk about Hair here always mention asian Hair brands use Kerasys. Lov your content ❤
I love so many of the products you covered here. I like NYM in general but have not tried that line yet. I love a bunch of the ION products from Sally's including my hair color and the regular It's A 10 leave in spray is one of my all time favorites. Thank you Abbey for giving us the low down on affordable products.
I love these videos! Your makeup videos are great too. You're thorough in why you like or dislike something and talk about formula which is so helpful. I'm using prescription ketoconazole shampoo for seborrheic dermatitis but my roots are still oily. Plus I have fine and thin hair, that manages to be oily anywhere touching my head and dry/poofier on the length and end 😅
How long do you test products? Do you do a one time use or several tries? Have you ever heard of issues with protien build up in hair causing brittle dry ends, and breakage? Just from products like shampoo and leave in smoothing creams, no chemical products. This happened to me after a salon bleach on my fine hair that I didn't really want to do because of my fine hair. Afterwards while trying to fix the damage even my go to shampoos aren't helping. Coconut oil seems to be an enemy to my hair causing more frizz and split ends, I love the smell and the fact it's natural but my hair just doesn't. I also read it can act as a protien on the hair or attract protien to hair. Recommend were protien free products and alternating clarifying with moisture masks until excess protien build up is removed. Struggling with that process and finding protien free products. I would like to go more natural and environmentally safe but my hair responds horribly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Loved this informative video. Thankyou!
Can you do a review on Garnier hair products? I keep seeing on TikTok "Garnier 10 in 1 leave in spray" being similar to " It's a 10 miracle leave in spray"
My favorite dry shampoo USED to be the NYM beach babe. Since they reformulated it does not work the same. Also I had to return 3 bottles because the sprayer stopped working after two ir three sprays! So disappointed with the results of the new formulas.
Hi! I bought your hair care guide and started following it (i have fine hair and used to wash daily). Now I've been getting acne on my cheeks. Should I go back to washing daily or do you think the Livivng Proof Advance dry shampoo is breaking me out? I don't know what to do! I want healthy hair but without the breakouts 😭😭
honestly? Aid washing your hair everyday works, I’d stick with it! Dry shampoo is like hair spray, our hair touches our face a lot, and product can travel as well. I’d personally rather just wash my hair daily as opposed to using dry shampoo because I have had the same issue. you don’t wanna skip too many washes either, as malassezia can build up on the scalp. basically-if your hair tolerates it, just shampoo daily, and implement some techniques to protect your hair while you do < 3
Abbeyyyyy. I love your videos. I'll be looking forward to the drugstore bonding repair hair products video. The way you describe products is soo accurate and detailed. ❤❤❤ I tried the loreal everpure conditioner that you mentioned in a previous video. I enjoyed it all. I think it said somewhere on the back to use for 6 times to see changes. Would you say bonding products should be used with every wash when looking to see a difference? Or still change it out every few washes with regular conditioners?😊
@@AbbeyYung thank you soo much. I would love to try out more affordable bonding products like everpure. We love how you keep us super informed and up to date. Often we overlook the science. But you have made hair science soo much more enjoyable and easy to understand. I hope to build up my hair channel to be as inspiring as you. ♥️♥️♥️
I'd love brand reviews of adfordable brands like Eva NYC, Not Your Mother's, etc. Some of these brands have a lot of products and I'd like to know the best options they have and Abbey's thoughts on ingredients 😊
Yay, an Abbey video!!! 🥰❤️ Could we have a review of all these so-called new bond repair products? It’s so difficult to figure out which are legit and which aren’t!
How do you feel about the Kitsch shampoo/ conditioner bars?? Or other brands for that type of wash? Looking for a new set! Might purchase the L’Oréal ones too hehe 😉
Um, I just feel the need to tell someone this and didn’t know who else would care so I came here 😂 I just got home from my local CVS and they had a FULL aisle of premium haircare with minis too! We are talking alllll the oribe lines, all with minis. Redken, purology, I was 🤯🤯. Again, just wanted to share to not sleep on your CVS 😂
Loved the video!! I recently found a hair mask at Target from Loreal. It's the Everpure Simply Clean Elastic Fiber Masque. I would love to hear your thoughts on it!! It looks like it's meant to help color-treated hair, and as I dye my hair, I was intrigued.
Hi Abby, I would like to pick your brain about OGX, especially the Maroccan Oil line. Worth it ? Does it compare to the Maroccan Oil brand ? Are they worth anything ? TIA ! Love, love your reviews ❤
Definitely want to try the tresemme! Because I just bought the Eva nyc primer heat protection spray and I haven’t been able to open it at all. So the other one looks interesting and easier 😅
I notice the healthier my hair gets the less it holds a curl. And sometimes I think certain heat protectants maybe work so well even when I use heat the curls don’t last. Is this a thing for anyone else?
I just watched your wash and style video from a few years ago - could you do an updated one? I'm really trying to heal my hair, but once I get to the point of being done washing, I feel so afraid of brushing it out (hair is most fragile when it's wet?) And also don't want to use heat, so my hair has been looking awful. It air dries into a wavy, unstructured mess with knots and it's so dull. Please show us what you do after you've washed and your hair is wet - I need help!
this loreal leave in heat protector is crazy! when i sprayed it on my hair, some of the product was left on the floor. IT MADE THE SPOT SO SLIPPERY that me and my dog fall there couple times until i realised what’s causing it
💜💜💜 Thankyou for this video. I loved that you gave a protein free option for hair care. If you could make more protein free hair care videos with different products that would be awesome. My hair hates protein💜💜💜
will u do this with “high end” ones too?! like in the range of ur fav amika the kure and pureology one?! id love to see what you think about other ones too
I tried the Eva NYC mask and it felt cheap. Like you mentioned, not cosmetically appealing. It didnt do much for my hair either. I have thin color treated hair. I feel like I completely wasted my money on it.
Hi Abbey ❤, I love watching these types of videos from you 😘. I've been having major issues with my hair re: fall-out. I have been using Pantene shampoo and conditioner for a few months, it doesn't seem to make a difference, even brushing my hair in the morning I'm prone to having strands coming out 😢. Would you be able to suggest any products to stop this from happening? Thank you in advance 😋.
I have found huge changes by using a leave-in spray conditioner after towel drying. Pantene has one that I have used. I'm now using pureology, but it's expensive. I don't care because my hair was falling out at a scary rate. 😮 I switched from Pantene to: 1st wash: RedKin cleansing cream shampoo. USING SMALL AMOUNT, focusing only on scalp. 2nd wash - Redkin volume injection shampoo followed by matching conditioner. I don't condition scalp because it makes me oily. Then the leave in spray conditioner. This routine has helped my breakage and hair looking dry and its growing again. I also splurged on Olaplex 3 1x a week for 10 mins. I also tried the olaplex spray leave in conditioner, and wow, it was fantastic, but it's hard to spend so much on all these products. That being said, hair is damn important, so buy a good leave in conditioner it really helped me.
Great video! I love watching your hair care videos I get so excited! I saw you posted a tik tok about the Kirkland shampoo and conditioner. Id really like to see a more in depth review here on UA-cam and compare it to the pureology hydrate or nanoworks line because it’s nothing like strength cure or promise to be. But it does smell identical to the pureology nanoworks gold so that’s interesting. You reviewed the old formula a couple years ago on here so that would be cool if you did a updated review with the new formula!
@@SandraAmaral-l7b I’ve used it for like 8 years now on and off! It’s one of my favorites! And yes it smells identical to pureology nanoworks gold! How do you like the new formula compared to the old one in 2020
I would love to see you review shampoo and conditioner bars, even if only from an ingredient perspective! I love them, but worry that I’m doing my hair a disservice.
@@AbbeyYunglike you said, never been crazy impressed with the brand as a whole but this line feels really high end and has been working great for me :)
Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe dry shampoo is my go to as well! will look for the Eva nyc curl refresh when I get out today :) my ride or die hair product for bleach treated hair are the Pantene rescue shots! 🫶🏻
Abbey I love you but we gon fight if you keep dissin L'Oreal Dream Lengths 😂❤ I guess the line is better on more coarse/thick hair because my hair is always soft on wash day. I'm also OBSESSED with the smell. It's like candy! I sniff the shampoo so hard I go cross eyed 😂
i love dream lengths too and i’m always so disappointed when i hear abbey talking about it😭 but i guess every products can be loved and hated by different people
Did your hear about new L'oreal Professionel line - Absolute Repair Molecular? It claims it repairs damage with peptides and aminoacids. I'm curious how it works.😇
L'Oreal Everpure shampoos and conditioners all smell like dog shampoo to me. I went through 2 different sets (the volumizing and moisture versions) and I had to quit even though it works great, because of the smell :(
Last video with audio issues my friends thanks for bearing with me!!!
We love a doggy cameo though 😂❤ Honestly makes me smile every time!
Oh my god yessss my damaged af ears were dying ahaha
Have you tried the L’Oréal hydra plump serum ? I use it at night to hydrate my ends . But I really would like your opinion

💜💜💜 Thankyou for this video. I loved that you gave a protein free option for hair care. If you could make more protein free hair care videos with different products that would be awesome. My hair hates protein💜💜💜
For those loose powder dry shampoos I use a clean powder makeup brush and use that to dust into my roots. Voila! ❤
will u do this with “high end” ones too?! like in the range of ur fav amika the kure and pureology one?! id love to see what you think about other ones too
love this idea!
I tried the Eva NYC mask and it felt cheap. Like you mentioned, not cosmetically appealing. It didnt do much for my hair either. I have thin color treated hair. I feel like I completely wasted my money on it.
So glad to see the doggies (& appreciated the product review!❣️). 🐾🐶
Hi abbey! Would we be the best shampoo and conditioner for increasjng hair density?
I switched from Pantene to: 1st wash: RedKin cleansing cream shampoo.
The Serena van der Woodsen reference got me 😆 haha! Thanks for another great video as always!
I currently use that brand. That would be great!
@@SandraAmaral-l7b are you using kirkland or pureology?
@@shelby2493 Kirkland brand. I have been using it for a long time. It smells just like the Nanoworks Gold.
@@SandraAmaral-l7b I’ve used it for like 8 years now on and off! It’s one of my favorites! And yes it smells identical to pureology nanoworks gold! How do you like the new formula compared to the old one in 2020
I am confused about timestamps. It is saying Prequel Gleanser, for example, but you are talking about different product in video?
I would love to see you review shampoo and conditioner bars, even if only from an ingredient perspective! I love them, but worry that I’m doing my hair a disservice.
Can you please test out hair care products from Maria Nila? 😍
My natural hair start breaking off, what is best for virgin hair?
i am obsessed w the tough love line from not your mothers, my hair is the softest it’s ever been in my life
i also really love that it’s cruelty free & vegan 🥳
Wowww good to know I need to try more from them
@@AbbeyYunglike you said, never been crazy impressed with the brand as a whole but this line feels really high end and has been working great for me :)
I have the unscented dry shampoo. Yes I find it ok but I haven’t found a dry shampoo that works with no fragrance.
Hey- is that a lip gloss or lip oil? Super pretty!
Lab co dry shampoo really loved it but can never find it at target anymore 😢
love seeing and hearing the doggos ❤
Love your videos. Great sense of humor. How about Aveeno shampoo and conditioners, and their other hair care products. You’re great!!!
Abbey - I’m know you have recommended some hairdryers in the past but I can’t locate that video- can you recommend some for me? Thank you
I need to see your shower 😂 how do you organize all of your products in there to be able to rotate them all out and try new things?
I’m currently trying the Kristen ess hair mask
I love that you are bringing back drug store hair products!❤
Abby, regarding that spray with the keratin in it, isn't keratin damaging to the hair unless used very sparingly?
Are you doing a video on prequel? I saw the chapters of this video were what I’m assuming is for a prequel video! 😂
Lol i say that too 😂
She's already posted the prequel video 10 days ago
@@chetnasingh2020 oh! I missed it!
Great videos! Do you ever plan to go to a shorter style?
Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe dry shampoo is my go to as well! will look for the Eva nyc curl refresh when I get out today :) my ride or die hair product for bleach treated hair are the Pantene rescue shots! 🫶🏻
I just discovered your channel through this video and I'm in love! So so helpful!! P.s what blush do you use it looks gorgeous! ❤❤❤❤
Would you do a video on the brands coco and eve and xmondo, and brands from Sally's?
Thank you for listening to your subscribers ❤❤
PLEASE TRY CLIMAPLEX!!! It’s sold at target with patented technology, it CHANGED my hair!!! SOOO GOOD
Abbey I love you but we gon fight if you keep dissin L'Oreal Dream Lengths 😂❤
I guess the line is better on more coarse/thick hair because my hair is always soft on wash day.
I'm also OBSESSED with the smell. It's like candy! I sniff the shampoo so hard I go cross eyed 😂
i love dream lengths too and i’m always so disappointed when i hear abbey talking about it😭 but i guess every products can be loved and hated by different people
What about Doori cosmetics? It is korean brand 😊
Did your hear about new L'oreal Professionel line - Absolute Repair Molecular? It claims it repairs damage with peptides and aminoacids. I'm curious how it works.😇
L'Oreal Everpure shampoos and conditioners all smell like dog shampoo to me. I went through 2 different sets (the volumizing and moisture versions) and I had to quit even though it works great, because of the smell :(
you should do a review on the new function of beauty bond building line
I have had problems with ALL the sprayers in the Not Your Mother’s line.
Annoying
The Not Your Mother's treatment says "1" on it so is it a preshampoo product?
