  • This video details my progress in week number 15 of my Carnivore journey. That's 105 days without sweeteners, bread, pasta, rice, beans, legumes, packaged food products of any kind, and no soda (only water and green tea).
As a type 2 diabetic, my goal is to use the Carnivore diet/lifestyle to reverse my Type 2 diabetes. This means my primary goal is not weight loss (although I'd like to get down to 155 lbs if I had my druthers) but lowering and stabilizing my blood sugar with an A1C target of 5.5 (average fasting glucose of less than or equal 110), "normal" triglycerides and cholesterol, and to increase my HDL cholesterol so that I can live a drug-free lifestyle as I move forward toward retirement where food acts as my pharmaceuticals and helps my body stave off the ailments that often come with old age.
I have added some approximate time codes below if you want to skip any sections.

It’s good that you are adding certain foods back, but, take care you don’t undo all that hard work to get fat adapted, I heard you say you had a bout of being flatulence with Asparagus, take care the cravings do not return but by judging by your anecdotal evidence, I think cravings wouldn’t be a problem. 👍🥩😎

@landerspolimis3690 Thanks for the comment; I am being very careful to monitor what I eat and the corresponding results. So far I am good with adding in small amounts of grilled onion; small amounts of grilled cremini / baby bella mushrooms; up to 1/2 of a sliced avocado, and up to 1-cup of steamed brocolli with melted pastured butter; These additions are limited to 1 item per day to maintain carbohydrates less than 10 g per day; asparagus is still a TBD. I purchased another bunch this week to test. If any stomach / gas issues arise, it will make my "do not eat" list. I also purchased a single red bell pepper to try charred on the grill (again < 1/cup will be consumed); Thanks for your comment and concern.
