    Prince performed Purple Rain during a rain storm. The morning of Super Bowl XLI, he was asked if he would be OK to perform in the rain. Prince said, “Can you make it rain harder”?

      I didn't get a chance to see it at the time because maybe my age but I was old enough to see it I don't know why I didn't. But I Did no Prince because people in the family love him. That's Super Bowl performance was crazy because I went to a different video after this and saw the whole thing. Don't pro if you were around when he came up this even greater

    Prince was THE TRUTH as a live performer! Please don't compare him and Michael Jackson. It's disrespectful to both, for they each deserve their own light and weren't really that similar. .MJ was a great singer and dancer while Prince was the total package: GREAT musician (he mastered over 20 different instruments ), great songwriter and producer as well! Here is an example of how he OPENED the Musicology Tour, and it would remain at this energy level for 2 1/2 hours!: ua-cam.com/video/MxJhBK2XIdc/v-deo.html

      MJ is also great songwriter and producer

    • @choice12ozborne
      @choice12ozborne 3 роки тому

      Is not disrespectful. That's because no disrespect to Michael Jackson but from what I see and what I heard and what I read Prince can pretty much do it all. Somebody said he played several instruments. RIP to both of those guys. From what I see of these guys which is we runs but still Michael Jackson was extremely unique and could dance like crazy. Pure entertainer. I give Prince the nod only because is seem like he was a little more original 41 and also because he could play all these instruments and he could dance to . When I say original I mean everything about that guy was freaking original changing your name To a symbol ...who does That... MJ wins on the dancing MJ probably wins a little bit on the entertaining. But MJ was Groomed to be like that from what I've read . I would say Prince was a true prodigy. I think that's the word cause always get it confused with another word this sounds the same. Prince was a virtuoso like a modern day Mozart. Hes one of my favorite artist thanks to my family listening to them all the time when I was coming up. The Beatles also because when I was coming up they heard them all the time. If you were ever lucky enough to be raised up in a family that plays music your fortunate in his I think so

      @@adam-hp6qt Yeah but you must admit that Prince was much more of a virtuoso. MJ was Built-in groomed to be that way literally. I mean from what I hear or what of read the jacksons especially Michael Jackson was beaten because he didn't practice enough so if you do that from the time you a kid you are going to be good. Not taking anything away from him for what I'm saying is he had some talent in him obviously but when you add that to being groomed from a small child that does make a difference. Stop Don't get it wrong or twisted because MJ was one of the greatest entertainers Ever. I have to give Prince the nods up because he didn't have any formal training. He mastered all those instruments. They say their Prince has more music in his vault then he ever released. When I Say vault I mean that literally. When he was alive he said he had a lot of music locked away in a vault. Wouldn't you love to get your hands on that. I've rambled a bit but I appreciate both these guys and really I didn't come up in that era is just from listening to my family and listening to their old music. Also cheated because I listened to a biography of Prince so I'm bias. When he died I listen to it

    • @adam-hp6qt
      @adam-hp6qt 3 роки тому

      @@choice12ozborne Everybody got to work to achieve what they achieved. I am sure that Prince worked as hard as MJ to master those instruments. MJ had incredible songwriting talent. He didn't play instruments, he would sing and beatbox whole tracks out of his head to producers, and telling them to play it over and over again until it was perfect/ like he heard it in his head. His mastered dancing, performing, and revotiunolized music video's. They were completely different artists, with different goals

    My favourite Prince song is the long version of When Doves Cry. Just awesome especially the end. Also Prince was a musical genius, he could play 27 instruments! Also Prince's vocal range was 6 octaves! For comparison Mariah Carey's is 5 and Freddie Mercury's was 4. You can really hear that in his cover of the song Kiss.

    They called Prince that morning because it was pouring outside. They asked him what he wanted to do and he said, “Can you make it rain more?” He was a badass. Rocking out in the pouring rain on a slippery stage with high heels on. That’s thug life.
