Even more beautiful live than on CD, i remember i saw them supporting muse in 2003 and was blown away then, but forgot about them untill recently, this song is so moving, utter musical genious.
Ah man I was gonna tell and I've totally forgot, all I can remember is they finished on Scattered Black and White. Being honest my mind was blown by then. Have a great time, I did.
no background needed my friend. just immerse yourself in the genius of it all. youtube "elbow live" and go from there.... pointers: switching off, station approach, powder blue and the ever there. off the new album; a track called "brambles". sheer, sheer, utter brilliance....
Doesn't time pass? Now they are almost the biggest band in Britatin - 2 almost sold out shows at the o2 in London coming up - that's 40,000 people! Well deserved and they have the cop-on to cope with it all.
Sublime song writing, what a song!
They are still criminally under-rated. One of the very best bands around today.
this song made me pick up my guitar today. LOVE LOVE LOVE this song!!!
One of my fave songs by them. I truly connect with song..love it!

I love this song.
Again a great performance
won the brit award for best band 2008 and it was about time too.

my mistake. demo was called brambles. the finished album track is called "Some Riot". Tis mint.
This song is devastating
up against some tough competition though with radiohead on the top of their game too. I think its on the up for british music again finally XD
Please give us newbies some background about them!
agreed
Should have kept hold of this drummer at all costs.

Well deserved and they have the cop-on to cope with it all.
Do we really want them to go big time though? I want this band to stay pure!
Think I actually prefer this to the album version
RJD2 made a great remix of this. More somber, perhaps, but great nonetheless.
grounds for divorce is the best song they mode though lol
