I live in south GA and my dad, brother, and I were always into finding arrowheads and other neat things on our land. Our neighbors let us go digging in their creek and we found several nice arrowheads. Now I've gotten into hiking I have gotten the itch to go hunting for things again. Thanks for the vid!!
Tell me about the incinerator that was there why was it there what was his incinerating trash it's pretty wild I'd like to know more about that good hunt man was that great place to go
Fort Worth got on an incinerator kick in the early 1900's. They burned all the garbage from the city. There are ash dumps in various spots around town. They were all closed down by 1964.
Thank you! This particular creek runs next to an old dump. Runoff and drainage washes stuff from the dump into the creek then mother nature sorts it out for us!
I would think so. This particular creek runs through an old dump so the amount of finds is more than usual. However, any creek that runs through a city or town tends to pick up lots of neat things along the way.
This is in Texas. This creek runs through a pile (more like a mountain) of ash from incinerators that were used to burn all the household waste from a major city. The things we find are the items that survived the burn or fell through the grates.
Hey hi.. Sorry to bother you but i have a question. Ive been checking out creeks and streams. I found a flow of black sand with off color stones in it. Not sure exactly what they are.. Any suggestions to where to start in identify them?
No bother at all. One of my favorite places to get things identified is the Treasurenet forums. They have a "what is it?" board and the guys over there are really good at IDing things.
This particular creek runs through an old dump which gives us a unique opportunity to find stuff. It's not state specific, so any creek you find that runs through or maybe near a dump would be good.
I do! I usually don't throw anything away unless its in really bad shape. This pin lost its pinback but its in pretty good shape for going through an incinerator.
Man I know where that spot is but it’s your spot so I would really like for you to just invite me I just live 25 minutes from there 😜 Dude y’all are having fun and I’m fun promise you won’t hate me maybe
Haha. Thanks Barn. It’s actually not my spot. Some guys in the club took me there 20 years ago. If you know where it is head on down there. It’s definitely a fun place to dig.
Amazing find, can't wait to go and find things are these.

Can u do this any where or only at certain spots?
Certain spots, where a creek runs through a dump or has areas where people have dumped in the creek would be good.
A dump??..don't sound sanitary
@@MUSHROOMHEADDDDDDD Old dumps, where organics have long since decomposed.
