When I was 10 years old, my dad tossed me the truck keys, to a similar model Chevy truck, and said "meet me at the ranch in one hour." It was 10 miles away, he was moving a tractor and plow. I had driven the tractor and plowed by myself, but he was afraid I would take out some speed limit signs, the truck was safer for me. Did it with no problems, been driving ever since.
It's so nice to see when kids get rewarded for there work instead of them just getting everything handed to them
That’s our mission!! Things are so much better when well they’re EARNED!
We are doing the same thing over on our channel! 16 year old Brooke gets a broken first truck and has to figure it out with Dad and Gramp! Awesome work you folks are doing!
When I was 20 my boss signed me into his will as owner of the business and his properties and belongings when he passes away I’m still on his will and I left his company to take a up a different career opportunity and he retired and now I have my own employees running that business that he has gave me and i went from making 40-50k in 2016-2020 to making over $2.2million last year when I started running the HVAC company and working as an automotive technician
Mom😅 hook
@@flyingsparksgarage😅😊😅😂
The motor sounds soooooo good. Every 12 year old needs to have an aunt and uncle like the two of you. Y’all have such a great family dynamic.
Nice thing you did for your niece
AMEN
She earned it!! And will continue to!!
From sweeping the garage to sweeping out the bed of her own truck...so so KOOL
Put a plate on the c10
Leave it a longbed and when she has her license, you're niece can be you're parts runner! Eddie
I loved the "Where does this" throws wiper over shoulder. Derek would be so proud
Hahahahahaha that made me laaaaaugh
The kid is fortunate. The first vehicle I ever diagnosed and repaired was a 69 C10. Dad wasn't very mechanical and his truck wouldn't start so I crawled underneath it at 11 figured out the starter had come loose so I replaced the shims and put the starter back in and thats how it all started.
Now I want a C 10 😅 congratulations KIDD 🎊
Kool gift for The Kid. She didn't stop smiling
Darn, every time you girls start crying I get something in my eye,,, Congrats Kiddo, Can't wait to see it cleaned up.
Memories the kid will never forget , awesome aunt, uncle !!
Pretty awesome, I liked the clip of her sweeping at 3, she's been helping out in the shop with you guys for quite a while. Memories that will last for ever!
This video really hit the feelings. I'm 60 and always been a car person. I had no one to share my love for cars when i was young so the connection with cars and family was awesome. Thanks for letting us share the moment.
Watching this video at 05.55 South African time, with my white bandana as well, to keep my unfashionably long hair for a 60 year old man, out of my eyes.😂
I grew up learning like this, first passing tools to my Dad, cleaning parts & eventually being allowed to strip components, before being able to do builds myself. The Kid will remember this forever.
Teaching your relatives kid is the best. ❤
When I was "The Kids" age we had an old 72 GMC longbed truck the we used to pull the gokart trailer to and from the track. I named it Goldilocks as it was the same color as Garfield.
Loved watching you two make memories with her! and it's knowledge she will forever remember later on in life!
That truck is in incredible shape, great first vehicle!
This is going to be a trip the kid will never forget. And the stuff she has learned . She has years ahead of her to learn how to restore her truck. and has the best aunt and Uncle to teach her .
Cinematography with the coolant was top notch! :D
🫡
Had to balance out some of my less than stellar camera work here 😂😂😂😂😂
Some odd reason this made me all emotional, and I don't even know y'all. Great truck, great kid, and good people. I'll be following along if you don't mind.
Best regards from Indiana.
Made us emotional too!!! We’re thankful you’re here 🥰
Fantastic 👏 👏 👏 for the young lady. Learning how to do "STUFF" with her hands without her face buried in a phone. 🤜🤛💪🇺🇲 shout out from Louisiana
What an adventure for the kid. She has a great aunt and uncle plus a great family.
That was incredible, bringing momma to tears , Great adventure
I almost cried myself. Now that is happiness. Can't wait to see another burnout.
That was awesome. She'll remember this day forever. Well done everyone.
I didn’t realize how clean this pickup was until you got that shot coming home as you came up beside him, it’s pretty dang clean and rust free!
Rockers need replacing but it’s pretty damn good!!!!
Smiled and laughed out loud all the way through. The Kid is amazing. Wonderful people.
The Kid is awesome as are her Aunt and Uncle. A series to follow for sure. Hello from the Maritimes.
Miles of Smiles, cool to see the KID getting excited about her truck
Awesome great project for the kid😊
It's great to see the Dreamsickle home safely. The kid has awesome teachers for building her truck.
Love the way the kid has grown up now for the rest of us to do that.
That's one lucky little girl this is awesome
Love how you both are such an encourager to the girl. She will have fun building it to her liking and will treasure it. You’ll are super people.
Sure do appreciate that!!! We’re trying!!
It’s lovely to see something so genuine and wholesome ❤️
Something special about 1967-1972, they just want to run, want to work and they are great tailgates to put a pad on and just have a seat. Congradulation and welcome to the C/10 club Kid.
And wait for the ford tow truck jk love these trucks.
@@RobertDickens2002what was that about waiting to tow a Ford truck?

No computers and sensors helps these old rides to keep on keeping on.
That’s freaking awesome seeing a smile on her face driving her own truck
You guys are beautiful. I love the small garage. The simple people but you make it fun. That's what makes the times together worth ❤❤❤❤while
It's been way too long since I heard the Turn Signal Bulbs called by their number.
Brought back loads of memories
There will be a lifetime of fun and learning on the old Chevy truck for her! Congratulations Kid!
With that long carburetor stud she can go to O'Reilly's and buy 4-inch tall filter💪🏻💪🏻
I must say this was the most satisfying of all your videos, Emily! I was so happy for" the kid". It put a warm spot on my heart! No dry eye in this house! Great to see the total family support. What was Finley's reaction, by the way?🤣🤣
He’s jealous when we take adventures without him!!
I am looking forward to watching The Kid become a master mechanic. You guys are the greatest.
Amazing video. Love how excited auntie was!
Such an emotional touch the kid and her truck. I got the perfect name for the truck . Me and the kid.
That was a awesome gift for the kid for all her hard work in the shop you all are really blessed ❤ love to all of you.
One of your best episodes! Loved seeing Kid so happy. Y'all did good!
Congrats Kid! Thanks Aunty & Uncle for sharing this life experience with all of us.
All I can say is wow the little one. I'm so happy for her! Congratulations! Y'all did a fine job. Love your channel. ❤
Just like the 'first steps', we just witnessed the 'First Drive'. It's a Rite of Passage. The sky is the limit. Congrats! Thanks for sharing
Thumbs way up. Never driven before and starts out with reverse the hardest to master.
Smiles and God bless from Tucson, AZ.
Congratulations to the KID on her first truck. Hope she enjoys it for a very long time. And sticks with the older models. Can't wait to see what she has in store for it. GOD BLESS you and your family. Love from East Texas
Dang it made me tear up a little when you guys showed up with the whole family waiting! Miss those days so much.
Good job Uncle Aaron & Aunt Emily!....she couldn't be any more thrilled about her first new ride...looks and sounds great!....i love that you got her runnin' in such a humble environment in the back yard and on parts only necessary to get her rode worthy.....it'll be neat to see what's next to keep fixin' her up.
This is best vid ever. This youngin will never forget this. ❤
The joy in her eyes as she hit the gas!!! That made me smile ear to ear😀
Dear Emily, Aaron, Kid and others, this is by far the most enjoyable episode the I have watched so far. You are truly family-people and the way you are involving us in the adventures is just so wonderfull. Love you all and greetings from the Netherlands. And Kid, I hope beautifull memories will build while enjoying your work on and rides in Dreamsicle. Regards, Derk.
I had to go back and see early videos and seeing the Kid working around the shop makes this truck so special. She deserves it. Well done.
My brother has a 1972 C/20 truck. That is my favorite year Chevy truck. I'd drive it just like that. It just needs a taller air filter and a pair of Flowmaster mufflers. Congratulations to the kid, and I'm so happy to see this new project in your family!
There’s nothing like a big smile on a kid’s face, first vehicle and hearing it run and drive even if it’s in the yard.
Outstanding!! The kid is a natural. The next two years are going to be exciting.
You guys have the greatest family, God bless you guys❤. Thanks for sharing this milestone in the kids life with us.
I like the fact that you want the kid to learn with hands on experience and she is not afraid to get her hands dirty. Stay safe.
Terrific video loved seeing her driving her truck! And when the Kid Changed her own wipers made me think of all the grown ppl I've seen getting the parts store people doing it for them, I'm so Proud of her! Love you all
I got paid $50 for replacing wipers for a guy (maybe 30 years old) the other day.
I couldn't help but smile this whole episode. This is so awesome!
Congratulations Kid! You've got a great start with your truck, Dreamsicle.
These last two have been an absolute joy to watch. Seeing the Kid working on her truck and the pride on auntie's face has placed e permanent smile on mine. Looking forward to the ongoing progress.
I absolutely love what you’re doing for the kid, she will never forget this moment ❤️😊
That was one super great video, you could feel the love between you all , congratulations to the kid on her driving, she is one lucky young lady to have you all on her side.lots of love from Pa ❤❤❤
This was so sweet. My first car was my oldest brother's wrecked '64 Impala SS. I learned so much about fixing cars on that one. It belongs to my cousin now (fully restored by him).
The kid's got a cool truck
What a great way to be 12!! Abbie’s face was fantastically glowing seeing the kid’s pride, amazement, and wonderment.
Great day for the entire family. Here’s to many, many more for all of you!!
I was smiling ear to ear when the Kid was driving!! So awesome Kid!! Brought back memories ❤
Two thumbs up on the Kid ,she got a big smile on her face .makes our day .from Flint Michigan Gordon WALKER
Agreed
I’m so jealous of the kid
Great job Kid ,its good for you to get experience off the road while your young ,get as much practice as possible now before you get your learners permit, feilds and emtpy parking lots. Good luck and safe journeys, God bless you.
I learned on a 67 f100 3 on the tree in a pecan field it was so much fun.@@randallriemer3018
I have to admit this was a really cool video, as a "safety guy" I am torn, never think twice about a golf cart and yet it is a truck off road ... so what is the difference... farm kids drive tractors all the time.... so what the heck... enjoy have fun.... the kid sure did a great job. Next when Aaron is up flying his plane he needs to teach her a little about piloting.
1st burn-out!!! Teach her to use her directional lights and NOT to follow too close and she'll do great... So excited for her. Can't wait to see more.
I love how you include her in the process and at the same time work together. You both are such good role models and good humans. Love this build series and can’t wait to see where dreamsie goes from here!
I love how expressive the Kid's face is. You can see what she is feeling and thinking at every moment. Congratulations Kid!!!
I enjoyed these videos of the kid driving for the first time. I felt like I was teaching her myself. Her face said it all. Arod and Em yall are amazing.
I will admit i’m pretty new to the channel but I love it so far I know the kid is your niece from reading the comments. But what I love the most is, I don’t know the channel very well, but how much you love her comes across very apparent. This video brought joy to my heart.
The very first videos are wild to watch, 8 years ago when she was 3!!!
So freaking awesome.
Seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces, especially TK’s, so worth all the effort.
That's Awesome, the kid getting her own truck! When you pour coolant, turn the jug flat and pour!
She did great for the first time
How cool this is! You all did a wonderful job getting this rig going for the kid, and she learned so much!
This is one of the most positive and uplifting videos I've seen. Y'all rock bigtime, thank you so much.
You’re doing an awesome job kid. Keep up the good driving you’ll be cruising down the road before you know it.
It's so cool that The Kid will have this video to look back on forever. Her first truck, her first drive and all the loving family in one place. Great job Emily and Aaron! Aunt and uncle of the year!
We said the same thing!!!! If other people like it, that’s a perk but the REAL GEM is having this to look back on ♥️♥️♥️
no wonder the kid is so cool... shes homeschooled!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉💚💚💚🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Kid got us all jealous.. y'all are awesome
The joy in her eyes as she hit the gas!
Nice nice truck Do you want to sell it!! Just kidding don't ever let that beauty go anywhere congratulations for the kid !!!
You guys did good!!! And Em's you've got nerves of steel...! Congrats on such a a fun video and time. She'll remember this forever!!!
you make that kids whole life now she will sleep in the garage dream about nuts and bolts. She is funny we dont have a orange car i do she saying 🤣🤣🤣🤣well she is smart and funny gonna be a classic serie on youtube,i bet every kid will watch this serie and follow it
Pour the coolant from the side and it will pour nice and easy.
Great new very young driver!!
Wow! You are so good with her. When she was reversing and it went a little fast, you didn't panic and let her do it. You could honestly see the pride in your eyes and you are so happy for her. Y'all are so awesome and this will be some memories she will cherish for the rest of her life. Cudos
I'm not real sure, but I might .....might have, teared up just a little bit. A couple times.
What a fantastic surprise for a young teenager who doesn't even have her learners yet. You go Kid!
Nothing like making forever memories.
It's so neat that you all use part of the start for a prop plane when starting a vehicle, "Clear Prop".
Literally necessary on this one 😂😂😂
The smile on her face is worth a million bucks
I've always poured the gallon jugs from the side.
