My strongest piece of advice to anyone new is to physically go a store and actually hold a gun and see if the ergonomics agree with you or if you have a buddy who has a something you'd like, ask them to plink with it between a game at a range. I know some folks who actually didn't like rails as they (at the time) couldn't afford covers and it would dig into their hands. Or for bullpups, they have a LOT to offer (longer barrel/shorter presentation, uniqueness, some really solid gearboxes even if the line hasn't been updated in a bit) but some bullpups feel significantly different between models. F2000's feel like cradling a baby in both the best and (in my opinion) bad way. It's a little backheavier than let's say an AUG or Famas which are more myspeed. Same goes for AK fans. Are you comfortable with the fire selector, does the overall profile "feel right", does a folding stock feel right? As always with all of them, how does your mask/helmet/face protection do with aiming (even though, a stream a bb's is visible from a shooter's end). If possible try to round a corner, sling it, just kinda monkey around with it because you might find something you might not like. For me the M16A3 was wayyy too bulky for my first gun and I was JUST thinking about velocity and barrel length's perks. Have fun, folks.
A note for players who will be using a full face mask when playing: take note of the distance between the top of the stock and the sight placement, as often you won't have enough space to properly look down the sights with a mask on. Some platforms, like an AK with a buffer tube stock, have more distance between the top of the stock and the sights which makes them much more comfortable to aim with full face protection.
@@gavinoliver8074 I play mainly in a woodland area so can't give much advice on how just a pistol would fare indoors. My instinct is that you'll spend a lot of time reloading, but with enough magazines and probably a belt to carry them you should be well set if you're looking to play a faster game. Personally I'd run something with a folding stock; I have an Umarex UMP I bring out for indoor games. Lightweight polymer body so I don't miss the stock running around with it.
I actually got a set of Calico Jack rifles for my brother and I, they're working like champs so far. Accurate, reliable, sturdy, great for his first gun and my first M4 after running AKs for so long
Also have a CJ. Great gun so far. Only issue I've personally had is the hop-up consistency. Probably did something stupid to mine though, and can be easily fixed.
I said screw it and bought the Silverback SRS 16 inch as my first. I liked it initially but figured out that the stock hopup is a pain so I went for a full upgrade on it. I went with a Stalker Morpheus Barrel at 455mm, Stalker Kraken Ultimate hop chamber, the Stalker 70 degree bucking and a rapax spring from Skirmshop. It shoots amazingly and I cant complain about it at all. Overall, the price for the upgrades costs about $215 before shipping. The average cost of a fully upgraded VSR generally runs about $1000 and with just adding a spring onto the cost for the upgrades, you would be looking at roughly $1000. If you want some adjustability to it, spend about $15 on the Silverback airbrake piston cup or spend a good bit more and get the Silverback VMP. I got all of it so my overall cost with the scope, Silverback Muzzle Brake, Silverback QD Suppressor and the Silverback foam baffles, I am looking at an overall cost of about $1200 or but the gun shoot amazingly, rigid as all get out and I really think that it is worth the money just not as a first sniper. I would recommend getting something like the AS02 to start with and put about $200-$300 into it with a barrel, hop unit(or keep it stock, I've heard that the AA isnt always the best), good bucking and nub combo, upgraded cylinder(try to get a one piece as the stock isnt the best as the back is only held in by one pin unless they did a redesign) and I would definitely get the Action Army hop adjuster. All in all, you can have a lot of fun with a rifle that is about half the price but you dont get it quite as compact, higher cylinder volume and most likely decreased range(I did see a huge bump in range with the Stalker Morpheus barrel in my SRS so I would give that a try). Each sniper has it's place and the SRS is good for it's accuracy and being able to make it really quiet but the Strikers in the long run, are more favorable to an hpa user due to cylinder volume.
I started with a double eagle m56a, it's a full stock cqb marui super 90 clone, they're usually about $45, ran it for years before the stock snapped off. Now I have both a full metal cyma 870 short barrel and a fabarm stf12. I freaking love the old tri shots
remember to all airsoft beginners or people who want to start it. Eye and face protection is super important. Trust me, it hurts. don't get cheap face protection. I like to use a paintball mask but you can use goggles and a lower mesh mask that fits together WITHOUT GAPS. watch videos and look it up
Warning for the people who want to buy the EF 1911, the magazines are honestly quite pricey, often times out of stock and leak REALLY easily. Overall GBB's (Gas Blow Backs) are always expensive in several ways. Another note for the younger people who want to buy springer shotguns, the springs for the pumps are really stiff out of the box which is to be expected so it might turn some people away, I guess you could say the same about snipers and being hard to rack the bolt.
It definitely also depends on the power of the spring as well. If you're aiming for 2J you can expect a workout, but 1J is for shotguns a good sweet spot between power and ease of operation imo, especially since pump action lets you use more of your body for leverage.
DE M904, slightly above your budget, but it's a great AR15/M4/SR16 platform. Has an etu, and a mosfet, quick change spring, and can handle up to 11.1v batteries. In fact it's practically the same as the calico jack, but a bit cheaper
While I do not have any problems with an AUG on the list. But keep in mind if your field rules. Semi Auto on the aug is a bit goofy and you can accidentally go full auto.
For my first beginner AEG I got a agm mp44, after having it for a long time I upgraded it, and made it into a beast, my big brother friend's are scared of the sound of it, they said it sounds like a mg 42
6:48 I have this gun and highly recommend it right out of the box shooting 380ish but super crisp trigger response and decent weight. Overall if you want a decently priced AR and decent specs I’d highly recommend it
If you would like an AUG i would suggest a Snow Wolf rather than a JG just because the selector switch is actually three stages as well as it performed great right as i got it. I believe they have under $150(american) models.
Best friend got me a Snow Wolf CQB version for Christmas. I got a matrix acog, 3.5 in barrel extension, and a mock suppressor on it. My favorite of my bunch so far honestly.
I love my m249 cybergun feather weight it's an awsome LMG and I would recommend it to anyone but it is only sold for under 300$ but it doesn't come with a battery (average cost 20$) and to improve your airsoft experience a box mag is the best way to make an LMG even more AWSOME! (Average cost 50$) so my point is that it is very likely that you will end up spending around and probably above 300$ PS the a and k box mag is very fragile (I ended up fixing it 3-5 times) so I highly recommend the one and only cybergun battery operated auto winding box mag
If your getting a specna get one of the 2.0 edge range. About 100 quid more but better motor, flat hop, aster mosfet and the best quick change spring on the market.
I know I may get some hate for this but I think the ssr4 is actually a decent option, quick change spring and relatively easy to replace parts and decent accuracy out of the box
For a First gun for people WHO live for example in Austria or Germany, where guns May Not shoot over 0,5 Joule, i highly recommend the novritsvh sse 18
No airsoft shops here in central NY I think Evike should open a store and a field here that way people can come to the store to handle the airsoft guns to see if it's too heavy or just what they are looking for and a field to get some action. Also a place to have their airsoft guns serviced or fixed would be nice too...not everyone knows how to work on their own guns.
i feel like you should of included the HK416 its only about $100 and comes with a battery and charger. Sure its not the best build quality but its amazing for the price.
FFS went the first time today after a friend annoyed me for months to come...and now I love it! I already have MTB riding that's expensive enough without Airsoft aswell 🤣 Why are fun hobbies so expensive 🤣😣😭
Question : how many rounds does an electric gun hold? Because in another video somebody said that most gas mags hold only 30 rounds and only "elite" hold for 250 - 350 rounds. Second question : Should I buy in general a gas gun or an electric one?
I took myself an rpk 16 since it wasn't too heavy, took a mag that was straight and not rounded one since they didnt sell round mag at the shop and rpk 16 would jam less than a m4
I’ve spent almost $800 bucks on my Airsoft gear, I have the lancer tactical gen 3 m4 and 5 mags a plate carrier battle belt a battle belt and everything you can imagine. I've been doing airsoft for the past 5 years now and my best piece of advice is do not buy a sniper rifle whatsoever as your first rifle, stick to a aeg like one of the other rifles on this video. reasons why is because using a bolt action can get tiring and you can easily get gunned down, secondly sniping is something to build up to, you can't become a Novritsch or Silo by just buying a sniper rifle, you got to work to become that good. For instance in my first 2 years in airsoft I used a cyma M4 with keymod rails, I only started sniping after 3 1/2 years of using an M4 and 1911. thirdly, there is a lot that goes in to being a sniper besides being a good shot, such as quiet movement, good concealment, knowing what targets to pick, knowing when to use your sidearm, and trusting in your teammates and instincts.
I haven’t started airsoft yet but I don’t like how the muzzles of the gun are orange I think that’s what the front of the gun is called is there a way to remove that? And get a different and more realistic color?
It's called a flash hider. It's part of US laws for replicas being sold out of stores. As for removal, it would depend on what you get. The most common ways of the flash hider being held on is glue, a pin, or painted on. Again, I'd search up the model of replica you're getting to see how you're going to get it off.
I never see any videos for kids/ smaller people, which can limit my choices even more. I would love to see a video on small/ cqb replicate, great video tho 👌
So with all this I’m guess that airsoft starter kit for like 400 isn’t worth it then ? It comes with a nice aeg from umbrella with 2 mags and and two batteries with the charger
i was going to buy a 1911 from elite force, but i spent 6 grand on gear and havent regretted it... except the bank as they are panicking on why im overdraft 6000 dollars
sorry but i totally disagree, only pdw 9mm and cm16 are good reccomendations because i think that if you are new to airsoft and so new to toyguns u can't handle long rifle, single shot rifle or however heavy gun to carry on.
