I currently run a CYMA m4 cqb sport with a 7” railguard. While the battery is excluded and the handguard isn’t completely stable, it has been reliable to me on the field and came in at about under $150. And I’ve been able to customize it since purchase. The V2 full metal gearbox also gives me room to upgrade the internals once it wears out in time.
@@augustinwestphal3422 I wouldn't recommend anyth under 120 either, except maybe a HBB glock from EF, but any Cyma around the 150 price range will last for a while and shoot nice probably
@OP Airsoft I totally agree that it isn't the best. However, It is decent for it's price! Of course there are better options but you have to invest on either upgrades or another gun and with the SHS gears that are included in the Adaptive Armament M4s it can handle the strain that the upgrades will do on the gun. So it is an amazing deal for under 250$,and is an even better base for a gun that a person would love to upgrade in the future! Hope you have a great day!
I remember back in 2014 I had one of the OG cm16’s and it literally fell apart on the field, the staff let me use a rental for the last few matches of the day 😔
i bet you were slapping it a lot 😆 btw if you find a website that sells replacement parts they most likely will have a replacement charging handle, or you could send it into an airsoft repair shop
I have that exact one (the first one with the wood furniture) Cyma 45a. Re-shimmed, re-greased, down graded spring (they fire really hot oob) new nozzle (not needed), slong inner barrel, flat-hopped (with no special rubber) and omega nub. My last game I out shot a group of "pro-level" guns next to me who were all trying to take out a sniper 60mtrs+ away. Hit the sniper on the 3rd burst. This is such a great gun. Just awesome.
Can't recommend the Raider 2.0 enough. Bought it as my first AEG, good performance right out of the box - better than my 380$ KWA TK45 - with tons of customization options thanks to the build style. You can run an 11.2v lipo on it safely, I've put easily 3k rounds through it with the 11.2v with no issues (granted this was not done for a stress test with repeated full auto mag dumps). It easily takes upgrades like a mosfet, barrel swaps are simple. Solid gun you can run forever, and use as a loaner when you're done with it. I've run mine both outdoor and cqb and had great success with both thanks to its build being so lightweight but durable. the SD6 is also great, I bought one on a whim and really liked it. It has a surprisingly snappy trigger with a very satisfying pop, good accuracy at close and mid range. The only gripe I had with mine was that the irons were a bit misaligned with the barrel, though I actually found that I could take off the rear drum and just eyeball with the front post and be pretty accurate. The one problem you'll have is despite claims of mp5 mags being easy to find, my experience was the opposite. There aren't many good options for non high cap mags that aren't pricey, and high caps for mp5s have a folding door rather than a sliding one like m4 mags, the very first time one fell out of my PC it broke the door.
I love the SIG 552 Commando. Its a Cybergun licensed SIG and it came with bearings in the gearbox, not bushings and it was shimmed from the factory. Great “out of the box” player and super reliable. I’ve owned 2 of them and I’d buy another. Super great gun for under $200.
The DE/Matrix calico jack, which is similar to the PDW in this video in both form and price, is also good. You also get a programmable MOSFET, which allows you to adjust trigger sensitivity and firing modes If you want it in a different style there's also the AX-15 and the UTR-45
I really like the FAL AEG. It’s by 6mm pro shop and it’s full metal. Can come in a folding stock has good range easy to take out the mag and has plenty of room for modifications. Only down fall in my opinion is if you get the folding stock the battery is put in a battery box on the picanty rail. Besides that has a nice blowback and overall an awesome rifle on your site that doesn’t come close to the 250$ mark! ❤️
I own the Kwa vm4a1 it is a reliable gun with good externals. Also, the range and accuracy are serviceable. Defiantly will get the job done but can easily be increased with a new bucking and barrel. Also, the gun doesn't come with a mosfet but has a switch lift extender which does the same thing, I wouldn't say as good as a mosfet but if you're like me and only play 1-2 times a month an 11.1 Lipo can run just fine with no worries in this gun. An overall great choice for a starter gun and happy it's on the list.
I love the JG Works G36C, its currently under $100, I have recently got back into airsoft and bought the same model/brand that I used 10 years ago. Still as good as I remember. I love the G36 platform
I have the Jack 9 from EMG helios/sharp bros its a awesome compact rifle and you dont need get the full metal the high polymer version is around $200 and when on sale drops below. I also have the carbine overload M4 as well and that was also around same range in price.
I personally like the Arcturus M4 NY-03 CQC. It comes in about 165 dollars on most websites. It’s really good for the price. Has amazing externals and great internals. It has a compact CQB stock that is really good for certain batteries. It has a hair trigger I think it’s called a microswitch
I literally just purchased the go airsoft package a couple days ago and I'm just waiting for it to come in to review it. I've spend about 3-4 years trying to get into airsoft and it is perfect for me but college might be a problem for me but it was really cheap and I appreciate it!!!
@@dragonborn5832 yea it has good range nice trigger response, amazing full auto speed, but the only problem I had with it was the avengers t-1 sight didn't mount to it so I had to get a new screw on riser which comes in the mail tomorrow. the gf76 carbine from amazon, its only $100 and I got it when I was first starting airsoft, its an AK model and comes with a 400rd bannana mag for the beginners who dont want to lug around 3 or 4 magazines.
My recommendation: G&G Firehawk. It has great performance and its really sheap for around 175-180 dollars.(for beginners) It's great for CQB and for mid range distances. it's small body makes it perfect for CQB fights.

I started with #8 and after shimming works like a charm... I got it 3 years ago and man still works and shoots amazingly... And mine is an old version... It's a shame that my buttstock did not had QD slots for my sling... I had to change the stock and buy a picatinny adapter... But afterwards just good!
Elite Force M4 CQB Mlok at $205. Electronic trigger. Flat trigger. programmable with Ares, quick change spring. Metal sling mounts on buffer tube. Light weight
An airsoft gun I think you missed was the Elite Force IWI Competition Tavor TAR-21 AEG Airsoft Rifle This airsoft gun is a unique and awesome gun that's good for indoor and outdoor, averaging around 200 to 230 usd
For the M249, if you want a bigger mag, use the cloth box mag. 2000-ish rounds (mine holds 2500), but smaller and far less awkward than the Green Monster box mags.
The Specna Arms X-01 edge 2.0 is a beast for under 250. Its got gate aster, quantum trigger and comes with a soare mag which is awesome. Full metal build with mloc rails. Its a genuine bargain
If you want a aeg no on else has and that gets a lot of good looks on the field get the p90. Even being stock its a great gun. The only issue is the mag only holds like 70 something bbs so you will need a few extras and need to reload a lot but even still its a great option for a sub $200 aeg.

@@evikecom never not a notification for the reply, just happen to be rewatching the video, but I prefer the pic rail. I do want to get a built in red dot version for a stargate loadout in the future.
I liked the list, good work. I would add a specna m4 too. Actually I have a specna M16 M203 which was more than $250 but if you don't want to hunt predators in the jungle with Schwarzenegger you can get a version cheaper than $250.
@@rendezvoushere7843 IDK how it applies to newer models, but my old G02 model has a shitty hopup, you better replace the whole unit with a new chamber and rubber, but that's not a big deal, what is a more serious problem is that one of the threads has stripped on the gearbox shell the 3rd time I've disassembled it so now only one screw holds the motor grip. I got one of those grips that have a beaver tail which leans against the sling mount, so it stays fixed but IDK how long it will resist. And I have some more minor problems, sometimes the dust cover doesn't want to open and the fake bolt slams home from a very small vibration (should go home only by pressing the ping pong paddle), these are tolerance issues. Another tolerance issue: it's very-very hard to put back the front pin but at least there's no wobble whatsoever between the upper and lower. And that's it, works very well, the GB is a little noisy but nothing major. I had to get a weaker spring because ootb it shot with 420fps after settling and 410 is the limit around here, it was pretty annoying, that very little difference.
Ares amoeba 008. It’s a carbine with a CQB sized barrel (7 inches) and it’s both polymer and alloy. As it is ares, the polymer really tough. Not sure if Evie sell it but if u r in uk it can be bought from Patrol Base
Can't remember the name of it but Amazon sells a spring dragunov for about $60. I've had it for years and its still reliable to this day. The only issue i ever had with it was that you need a mount in order to put a scope on it.
@@erickaldana1186 Couple of weeks. I bought a smart charger and shoot away. This thing is precise and built well. I put a G & G MK 7 suppressor on it, side laser and red dot :-)
@@erickaldana1186 I bought it from Replica Airguns in Canada for $204.00. Laser and red dot were about $40.00 on Amazon. Suppressor about $45.00. Make sure you get the Cybergun P90

I recently got the p90 for cosplay purpose it's easy to remove the gear system so I used the shell for a prop gun but for use I just pop back the gear box
I got one of those Matrix/S&T Sportsline M4s out of discounted open-box mystery pack was pleasantly surprised. It is a very solid gun for 150 retail, only complaint is the *disgusting* stock and buffer tube quality, but that's easily replaceable.
i recomend the Valken Asl Kilo .45 is super easy to use and for new people it comes with a nifty valken mag adapter for their skinny mags so it can use skinny mags and normal ar mags
Revolvers look cool but are not worth it. If you want a genuinely enjoyable experience with a pistol I would recommend the elite force 1911. it has a decent mag capacity and is very reliable for a decent price. Just trust me revolvers are only good for target shooting (i learned from experience)
I know I'm a bit late but a gun I highly recommend is the cyma lipo ready e3 (or a3) series m4 rifles. It's snappy and tough full metal body. Every course I've been going to I've seen them being used either as a base or stock. Its my fall back rifle when all of my quirky guns go down(they do often) oh and they're usually around 165 bucks
I know Lancer Tactical doesn't have the best reputation, but i would recommend the gen2 lt04. I haven't had any problems with it and Airsoft GI has starter packs of them now for beginners that comes with everything u need.
I got one from my local airsoft shop and they threw in a lancer battrie and smart nimh charger for $190. Not the greatest aeg in the world but it does indeed work and is relatively competitive for casual airsofting. The hi-cap it came with is absolute shit though, dry-fires every other shot, so I bought 3 mid-cap mags which haven't misfired yet (had this stuff since June 2022)
Definitely gotta recommend the tavor been wanting to get that as a 3rd cqb gun and it takes your standard m4 mags!!!!! Fits in the less than $250 price point as well!
My buddy has a kwa vm4 that is stock except a tight bore and has done over 300k rounds all on a huge 11.1v easily the best entry gun of all time. Not sure how the 2.5 holds up but the 2GX gearbox is my favorite gearbox that isn't aftermarket
I got the Go Airsoft Package CQBR tan package and it was great value for sure. The gun was very accurate and consistent, but for some reason it just stopped working the third time I used it, was able to fix it but it still needs to be tweaked.
@@rookie6850 yeah it has a lot of nice features and you can upgrade along the road and do really what you want with it change the look and internals to whatever you need out of it and out of the box its great for the price
You mean the vz61? If so you need to do some DIY to it to get it functional. Stock it shoots 25m If you put a ML crazy jet in there, MR bucking, lipo 7.4v and micro mosfet Then it's a nice thing to have.
You should do a video on the G&G CM15 KR-LPR, I'm not sure of the exact price but I'm pretty sure it would be under $250 USD. It was my first gun and it has served me very well. Very light and reliable.

I’m so early!!!!:) I also recommend the hellbreaker even though Ibe never used it or played airsoft it has great reviews and is only $ 220.00 Max with different lengths
What about the Valken ASL m4 mod m for 2021? I have one and it’s an awesome gun! I run a nunchuck style 7.4 1300mah battery and it has phenomenal range for being stock. It also accepts most m4 magazines and is still upgradable. For around $165-170 I think it’s a great buy for a beginner. I had mine for a month and have no issues. I also keep the same range (if not more) than a $500 Novritsch m4. Though the accuracy is just off the 500$ gun.
The G&G Arp9 is great. The mags are cheap. The gun is light. The hop up is really easy to adjust and it's right around $210 on both evike and airsoft GI unless you get the colored varients (around $270 ). Although for bigger people it could potentially be hard to hold comfortablly and the battery space isn't the best. You can buy a tube extension for it though. If you would prefer, the arp556 is the same gun internally but it takes M4 mags. However it will run you about $40 more than the arp9

I really enjoy my Cybergun/ Swiss Arms Sig 552 Commando. Affordable at $170. All around good gun IMO. And it’s not an M4 platform
Perfect timing im looking for a good one
the gf76 carbine from amazon, its only $100 and I got it when I was first starting airsoft, its an AK model and comes with a 400rd bannana mag for the beginners who dont want to lug around 3 or 4 magazines.
i love how the first one looks like a mixture of an m4 and an mp5
When Jet and Matt both recommend the mp5 SD6 and both recommend the CYMA ya know it’s a good thing
Jet is a shill, don’t listen to anything that comes out of his mouth.

Right at the $250 price point, too! www.evike.com/products/20016/
@@evikecom right on the money dude
It's basically a combat machine with a different stock.
i have the arp 9 and have to say they are awesome
CM041 SD6 from Cyma has a full metal upper receiver and barrel. Moreover, it fires very well. :) It can be found for +/- 160 EUR.
I have 9 out of the 10 AEGs listed but I would also recommend some of the Specna Arms edge series guns.
Specna's EDGE series are great! www.evike.com/s/?q=specna+edge&x=0&y=0
My recommendation: G&G Firehawk.
It has great performance and its really sheap for around 175-180 dollars.(for beginners)
It's great for CQB and for mid range distances.
it's small body makes it perfect for CQB fights.

I started with #8 and after shimming works like a charm... I got it 3 years ago and man still works and shoots amazingly... And mine is an old version... It's a shame that my buttstock did not had QD slots for my sling... I had to change the stock and buy a picatinny adapter... But afterwards just good!
Now playing Sniper role with a Novyboys SSG-24... So I don't use it as much... But if a friend wants to play I have a backup
Elite Force M4 CQB Mlok at $205. Electronic trigger. Flat trigger. programmable with Ares, quick change spring. Metal sling mounts on buffer tube. Light weight
An excellent AEG www.evike.com/products/17397/
My first gun was a full metal licensed colt m4 ris by cybergun. Great purchase, the thing is an absolute tank
An airsoft gun I think you missed was the Elite Force IWI Competition Tavor TAR-21 AEG Airsoft Rifle
This airsoft gun is a unique and awesome gun that's good for indoor and outdoor, averaging around 200 to 230 usd
Great suggestion! - www.evike.com/products/39919/
Thanks fo postin this I am getting into airsoft
Agreed! Do you prefer integrated red dot or pic-rail version?

Love the fact that the Knights Armament M4 is pretty much sold out
Also, my friend got one of these and the wiring died within a month
S&t m4 urx full metal

I really love the arcturus ny0-3cq it is a great m4 for $164
4:30 that's an AK74 not a 47 the magazine curve on the 74 is substantially less than that of the 47
The Knights Armament gun does not have a metal receiver. great gun tho. Cybergun p90 is another great pick.
I liked the list, good work.
I would add a specna m4 too. Actually I have a specna M16 M203 which was more than $250 but if you don't want to hunt predators in the jungle with Schwarzenegger you can get a version cheaper than $250.
How do you like it? I'm thinking about grabbing a specna arms m4 as a full metal host to get back into playing.
Not sure if Evie sell it but if u r in uk it can be bought from Patrol Base
i wish you guys would carry the ICS mp5's, better quality than the EF competition line stuff and not as expensive as the pro line. plus split gearbox
Could you guys maybe do best ak’s (all variants) for under 250? I love the ak platform and the last m4 I purchased I was not happy with! Thanks.
Can't remember the name of it but Amazon sells a spring dragunov for about $60. I've had it for years and its still reliable to this day. The only issue i ever had with it was that you need a mount in order to put a scope on it.

The ASL series delivers a lot of 'bang' for your buck! www.evike.com/products/18072/
The g&g cm16 raider 2.0 is a great choice it grows as you do and you can use it as you get better
So when getting a pistol why would I spend the extra $40 more for a revolver at the same FPS as a pistol?
Is a revolver better in anyway?
Revolvers look cool but are not worth it. If you want a genuinely enjoyable experience with a pistol I would recommend the elite force 1911. it has a decent mag capacity and is very reliable for a decent price. Just trust me revolvers are only good for target shooting (i learned from experience)
I know I'm a bit late but a gun I highly recommend is the cyma lipo ready e3 (or a3) series m4 rifles. It's snappy and tough full metal body. Every course I've been going to I've seen them being used either as a base or stock. Its my fall back rifle when all of my quirky guns go down(they do often) oh and they're usually around 165 bucks
what are the thoughts on the A&K M16a3? i wanted to buy that for my first instead of a G&G raider cause i like m16s better than m4s
6:14 what do you mean slight changes? How is the gearbox different from the normal g&g cm16
I like the king arms pdw m4. It has a few different barrel lengths and I have had no problems with it so far

My buddy has a kwa vm4 that is stock except a tight bore and has done over 300k rounds all on a huge 11.1v easily the best entry gun of all time. Not sure how the 2.5 holds up but the 2GX gearbox is my favorite gearbox that isn't aftermarket
I know this is late but the Utr 45 is a great ump 45 vibe smg for under 250 for a price of 179 if you get the
Polymer upper
The tippman commando for $200 is an m4 that comes in tan&black and black with 2 different barrel lengths
I got the Go Airsoft Package CQBR tan package and it was great value for sure. The gun was very accurate and consistent, but for some reason it just stopped working the third time I used it, was able to fix it but it still needs to be tweaked.

I have #6 just got into the sport and love it super great gun for the price
The G&G Arp9 is great. The mags are cheap. The gun is light. The hop up is really easy to adjust and it's right around $210 on both evike and airsoft GI unless you get the colored varients (around $270 ). Although for bigger people it could potentially be hard to hold comfortablly and the battery space isn't the best. You can buy a tube extension for it though. If you would prefer, the arp556 is the same gun internally but it takes M4 mags. However it will run you about $40 more than the arp9
