Sometime in the 1960s, my Arkansas dad allowed one of his brothers-in-law to build a house on his land. The guy and my aunt had some difficulties, so he decided to shoot himself. He stole my dad's shotgun. My dad went over there, took the shotgun from the guy's hands, beat the shit out of him with the shotgun, and then burned the house down to the ground. The sheriff came out to see what was going on. They talked and cleared the air. No charges against my dad. Nothing to see here. Them's the old days, folks. Deep South kinda stuff.

Unfortunately, the saddest thing about it all, he's right. I grew up during the 70's and 80's and it was me, my younger brother and younger sister. We were born in the middle to late 60's and early 70's. Back then, there was no such thing as "time out", "child abuse" or "social justice". What we did have was "corporal punishment". Our parents were allowed to spank us with whatever they could grasp in their hands and school principals could spank students with a wooden paddle. The current generation has grown up with no morals, no ethics, no common sense and they listen to liberals who keep lecturing else about personal responsibility instead of worrying about their own families and not following their own advice.
Born in 1961 raised with a yard stick ( single mom ) and learned in school with a strap . Retired at 60 , 4 bedroom house , 2 bath , big yard . Been working since I was 14 , grade 10 education .
Amen!
@@rebekkahsnyder4848 Thank you , that's my life it's real nobody gave me things I didn't earn through hard work and common sense. I actually have 20 years of education as I repeated grade 10.
my 4th grade teacher had a wooden paddle on the chalkboard rail for easy quick access lol
Dec '59 and I agree. I did everything I could or didn't do what it took to get a whipping. Preventable common sense ‼️🤗😆
LOVE James Gregory!
This is where we are living, in God's timeline
2 Timothy 3:
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Sir yes sir!!
Amen!
James Gregory you're one of my heroes
Definitely nailed it..
That's right my parents would take an whoop some tail mom would say go break you a switch , dad would say boy you gonna pay for that an it was a belt 3 inches wide 1/4 inch thick an you new it was on then ! They new how to set you straight ! I'm 57 now an appreciate them being stricken enough to make us mind ! It wasn't child abuse it was pure love ! We went to church an I thank them that we did ! That's Love !
Exactly the whipped us because they loved us. They knew the world out there was a rough place and we had to be prepared for it. I'd rather get whipped by my parents than by the Sheriff.
@@vanmoody Yes Sir I agree 100 percent
So true! My old man would whoop my ass if I got out of line. I watch how these kids talk to their parents today. I just shake my head and think how bad I would of got it for acting that way.
same here
Right on 🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻👏👏👏👏Amen!!
Breaking News

"That" generation long, long gone.
Love this Man funny and tells it like it is !!
I’m sorry for your great loss. Prayers.
You are so true on that.
I hope we do see another generation like that. It’s ridiculous how things are but it gives you a lot of material. Keep laughing
What you are talking about is so very right. Stay groovy.
Yep some guy tried to break in when my parents were gone
North Houston farm house. The Harris County cop tells me and my sister. If you shoot him outside make sure you girls pull him halfway thru the doorway. That was an awesome cop
@@eastsideterri22 Back in the day, men were men, no binary DNA identity issues
@Tyler Braden Justice should be swift and sure.
We are in the foirt turning Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men , weak men create hard times
Here Here - they were the Greatest Generation
October 2022
All relevant. All true.
Truth never dies.
So right, Mr. Gregory!
Gees!! The man is great!! My grandma would be horrified at the hims commercials....so bad.... people have no respect for anyone anymore...parents dont raise their children right!!! They expect the school system to raise them!! Just listen to James and maybe people will understand of all cultures........
Amen, preach it!!!
He's so funny but sooooo true !
Yes, yes, and yes!👏👏👏👏👏💞💞💞💞💞
Although this is hilarious. That bit about our Elders. Damn, made me think of all. Should take 5 minutes out at school and play this in HISTORY class. Might work.
It’s now 2023 as I listen to this. I think of what this newest generation is turning out to be and I couldn’t agree more with what he is saying. Now we have kids identifying as cats and pooping in litter boxes, offended by pancake syrup, having mental breakdowns because they have to work a full 40 hour week, thinks the government should support them, most of them can’t even drive a manual transmission and smoking cheese cake flavored vapes🤦🏼♂️. What has this country become?
Omigosh I laughed so hard! These anemic-looking, limp-wristed, house-husband sonsabitches....drivin a hyundai and LIKIN IT! HE'S A HOOT!
This is even more relevant now
Lil bit of prophecy going on there. Spot on, my favorite funny man.
That was when men were men and the family respected him and their mother.
That's the God's honest truth💯
Spot on brother....... 👍
Gregory for president.
Amen !
I love this one!
And if you got in trouble at school, you were going to be in trouble when you got home, don’t know how they found out but they knew, and we didn’t have a telephone
