My grandfather George Marble who live near Tenino Washington State in his very old years was poor but he would sit in his old rocking chair,on his front porch, naked and play his Mandolin. Parents always had to check first before I could go visit. He only lived one block from our house on the Old Reeder Road which is now 140th. He insisted I come up twice a week for dinner. 1 pork Chop and beans with Strawberry Ice Cream for dessert and of course a chocolate bonbon. “Bonbon”, back then were a piece of hard creamy candy in different flavors covered in a milk chocolate”. I could of only been 8 or 9 yrs old.only 8 or 9 yrs old but I remember always to not forget our elders as they decline in their years…I’m in my 70s now and still remember him as if it was yesterday…
I would, in fact, sit on MY front porch bare butt naked along with my two cats just to see the expressions on the faces of people. To heck with the roof!
