    Thank you soo much for this invaluable information. I have spent hundreds of dollars on distance tuning and re-tuning. And although my tuner is awesome, I really need to learn to do this myself. I am only full bolt on with Type R RRC intake manifold, larger 410cc fuel injectors, 70mm throttle body, Skunk 2 Cold Air Intake, race exhaust manifold and 2.75 cat-less exhaust system, I have the K20z3. hoping to make a K20/24 Frankenstein one day.
    So as I try to understand, the ECU and Flashpro can detect the extra air it is getting and will automatically adjust the Air to Fuel ratios? The Flashpro will automatically adjust cam angles also? Again thank you, this gives me the encouragement to learn myself so that I can auto tune. God Bless

    • @A.QPerformance
      @A.QPerformance  2 роки тому +2

      yes ECU can detect extra air and adjust fuel accordingly. and for cam angles i suggest use a dyno to see which cam is best. and for ignition too. these two should be manually tuned. other things can be nicely tuned with autotne. i tuned my whole turbo with it LOl. its amazing feature. so many safety features. the key is in settings becasue you are giving full control to laptop/flashpro. so settings are the key to success. and Hondata basic setting already are amzing to begin with.
      Its best for people who constantly change the boltons and dont have to spend money on tune every time

    • @ForeverXxAlone
      @ForeverXxAlone 2 роки тому +1

      Your primary o2 sensor/wideband provides a voltage to the ECU. The ECU then converts the voltage into an Air Fuel Ratio. While normal driving (closed loop/part throttle) The ECU has a "target AFR table" and compares them. If there's a difference it is calculated and applied as a Fuel Trim to keep AFR on target.
      The ECU also has Fuel and Ignition tables that decide how much fuel the injector should spray, and when the spark plug should fire. These tables are based off intake manifold pressure, and RPM.
      To make changes to your fuel tables you need to look at the RPM, MAP, and AFR in a datalog. In normal driving conditions (part throttle) your target AFR should be 14.7:1. Fuel trims will be applied to keep it there. You can follow the fuel trims to guide your changes to the table.(flashpro has a lambda overlay feature which makes it easier)
      While full throttle you will be in open loop and fuel trims will not apply. You will need to reference the RPM and MAP pressure in the datalog, and find the same spot in your fuel table to make changes. The target AFR for wide open throttle should be 12.5:1 for N/A cars.
      K series engines have VTC, this lets the cam rotate so the valve opens at different times. This allowes the ECU to optimise the amount of air being pulled into the engine. Because each angle allows for more or less air, you have a fuel and ignition table for each cam angle. The ECU will decide which cam angle to use with the "VTC table", which is based off rpm, and Intake manifold pressure.
      ( 0°, 15°, 30°, 40° ) each have their own fuel/spark table. *
      On a dyno, you would tune each cam angle and compare power at all rpm's to determine what changes to make to your VTC table.
      Spark/ignition tuning should start conservatively and be dialed in after tuning fuel for each cam angle. On a dyno, bump in timing while watching the torque increase. If you add more timing and no torque is gained then stop. Likewise if you're adding timing and you get knock count, stop.
      There's also some knock retard/control tables that can cause inconsistent spark timing, and can be bypassed.
      I'm not a tuner, I've just had flashpro for a while so some of my understanding may be flawed. 🤣
      Any questions let me know!

    I wanted to ask about an issue I am having to see if you could help? Plz. I have a 2007 Civic SI but uploaded a map and notice a problem after a wile. When I start the car and it revs up to 3k RPM’s normally when/after worming up the RPM’s would go down very normal but now there is like a hiccup around the 2300rpms. Rpms are going down normal and around 2300 it goes up to 2450 and then back down to 2300 continuing the the worm up process till it’s finished? Do you know why It does that? Never did before. I added modes Denso410cc, AEM fuel pump, k&n intake, new oem Map & Maf & o2.

    I can't see low speed fuel maps and I don't have the option to select high and low fuel on live tuning tables. It's not an option on my tables, and my software is updated. If I follow all these steps will it still tune my fuel without being on the right table?

    • @A.QPerformance

      make sure you have enabled right options. for example looking at flashpro menu, just below callibration there is fuel option. dont go into any sub menu and click on fuel. you will see expansion window opened to right. top are injector settings,next fuel pressure, keep coming down and you will see option 'fuel table type'
      there are two options here. use AFM or use speed density tables. if you check the fuel density option you will be able to see the high and low fuel tables.

      You dont need to be in any loop to work. Its the option you set prior to uploading the map which will determine if the autune will do tuning in close or open loop. Remeber its Autune not the live tune. Live tune hondata calls as when the car own ECU tunes itself rather than the laptop. It doest need the laptop. but its like giving complete control to 'Skynet'. So i have not tried it nor i recommend. just try 'Autotune'

      You can order it on Hondata officual website or tell some importer to import for you.But 1.8L civic i think dont have any Hondata.remember these kind of things are for performance engines. Just put your ecu number on Hondata website and check its suppprted or not.
      If not supported,you have to swap in a k24 or k20 engine and use a K series ecu which is supported by Hondata.

    • @A.QPerformance
      @A.QPerformance  3 роки тому

      it depends which pin you wanna use.there is EGR,or second O2 sensor,or electronic load detector.there is nice info on Hondata website,just search Wideband input in flashpro.it tells the methods and which pin to use depending upon model of the car.
      in short decide which pin to use,search the ECU pinout diagram and loacate the pin/wire in the ECU wiring plugs. (B or C plug usually).remove that pin secure it sway or you can cut this pin wir and attach a new wire and attach that to wideband input.or you can request free new pin from Hondata and insert that in this place.
      after this all in software select the wideband input which pin you used.it will start working

    Did you leave the timing stick under boost ? Good video thanks

    • @A.QPerformance
      @A.QPerformance  2 роки тому

      yeah don't let autotune the timing. always tune timing yourself/tuner. I already set the timing map myself to a safe timing in boost. Hondata maps are already very conservative under boost. so i just deducted the 1-2 degree more to be safe. Its not always the ARF's and Knock count which should be measured but EGT temperatures too. thats is very necessary to having the best timing set under boost along with Afr (lamda) and knock count.
