    I have an uncle who had a similar vomiting problem as you (from an old head injury), kept him from working because as soon as he started any type of labor at his job he would start throwing up. He was recommended medical marijuana but he refused since he just didn't like cannabis but he decided to try out CBD since it has none of the THC and it worked pretty well for him. Didn't 100% cure him but helped suppress the nausea a lot.

    Has the vomiting thing ever been diagnosed?
    Dysphagia + type 2 achalasia sufferer here. I've had some horrible 12-24hr vomiting episodes and lost approx 20kg in the last year. Well done for keeping your strength. Your videos are inspiring!

    Really glad youre here putting out information. Theres never really been a sport that fits the exact niche of why I like to train, but "Be Dangerous" sums it up perfectly. It gives me a lot of drive to see where that mindset can take me.

    Man this channel is great you're inspiring me to change up how I have to think about training myself ... I'm not suffering as obviously as you but health is the bottom line man... All these weights are just tools... It's good to see different exercises especially when they performed by someone who knows their shit. Thanks man... not to be corny but this is seriously inspirational to me.

    I have a question regarding your banded facepulls, namely: do you retract your shoulder blades or do you keep them neutral or even try to push your shoulders forward to get extra tension on your rear delts?
    Thanks for this incredible channel and all the info and inspiration you and your friends provide!

    inspiring to see something new for a change :) After I finish my program will definitely give this a try.
    For now I'm just staying with the traditional lifts which i'm also covering to be able to achieve my goals. I'm only a noob but
    have already made tremendous gains. Still a very long way to go though...
    Anyway a fit and healthy 2019 to everyone. Peace my lifting brothers

    I appreciate the part of your video where you comment onwhere you're at and how your training is going. I'll be 43 this year and I'm having to adjust my training routine to include boxing and still be able to work out in the gym. While I do approach training what's giving my best every time I'm in realistically I know I can't do the 2hr+ workouts like I was in my 20s. Anyways, I enjoy the content from your videos and keep inspiring.

    Great video! Trying weighted abs tomorrow! A question for Brian or any other members of the faithful. How accurate are the band weights for the Rogue mini-bands? I used them for banded hex bar deadlifts and I don’t believe I can lift what they say I am lifting. My previous 1 rep max with no bands was 380 about 2 months ago and tonight My total with supposed band tension was 540! No way!

There is no one that I know of that is training how to be dangerous the way you would. (I haven't actually looked so there may be I dunno). "Sheepdawg strong". Do you think you'll ever give Olympic Weightlifting a serious shot? Seems to me it has a few things in common with your current goals, i.e. where being big isn't always an advantage, explosive strength and balance in equal amounts, a way to get your whole body moving as one etc. not to mention the carry over to Strongman like with Joey and Martin Licis

  • @harryoconnell2832
    @harryoconnell2832 5 років тому +1

    In your opinion would strongman training be better for field athletes than powerlifting training?

    • @nazimdjedaa2829
      @nazimdjedaa2829 5 років тому +1

      Field athletes shouldn't train like strength athletes. Maximal Strength is an end for strength athletes while 90% of the time maximal strength is a mean to end for field athletes, speed, reactive strength and explosive strength are much more important characteristics.

  • @heartbeatpoetry7704

    Regarding the atlas stone do you always lift it to the same shoulder or do you alternate shoulders between workouts? Wouldn't it create a muscle imbalance if you are always lifting it to the same shoulder? Regarding deadlifts how to do you feel about hook grip vs mixed grip? I recently started retraining my deadlift from scratch using only hooked grip, making good gains so far but my hooked grip deadlift is still much much weaker than mixed grip. I was influenced by videos from Larry Wheels and Dr Deadlift to make this change. But is there a place for mixed grip deadlifting or is pure hook grip the way to go?

    • @protondecay3207
      @protondecay3207 5 років тому +1

      About the hook grip: I retrained it as well and it was weaker, or so I thought. I was actually not extending my wrists enough, so too little of my thumb was under the bar. My grip was more like a double overhand grip with my thumb pinched in. Try turning your hands a little as if you wanted to push your wrists into the ground. Having the thumb just a bit more perpendicular to the bar helps as well, you'll have to experiment more than you think for your specific hands.
