So.. Many well known and less-well-known bi activists, and myself, define bisexuality as attraction to more than one gender. Everyone I've ever heard on the topic (and I've met hundreds of bi/pan/.. via my meetup group in London UK) also says that their attraction doesn't exclude trans people, or non-binary folk (including trans men and women doesn't stretch the definition anyway though, still just men and women). Definitions evolve over time. Demonstration: September is no longer the 7th month although "sept" means 7. Whats the difference between bisexual and pansexual? Depends who you ask. Some people say no difference, many say pansexuality is attraction to all genders, a few say pansexuality is about attraction independent of a person's gender (ie. thats not what is important about who they fancy at all) vs. bi being attraction to specific genders or to generally-gender-related things - not quite the same if getting technical, and there are other views too. I'm not going to say one is right or wrong over another. A few pansexual people I know identify that way because there is a belief among some folk that bi excludes non-binary folk and they want to avoid being associated with that version. People who understand trans even less think bi usually excludes trans men and women. More often I've heard genderqueer people /similar identities identify as pansexual than cisgender men and women do (but there are plenty of pan men and women too). Trans non-binary people exist too, in fact I'd posit that non-binary folk can virtually all identify as trans because most country's birth certificates can only say male or female). But not had much discussion on that (any comments from nb folk here on that subject are welcome). Trans men and women people and most respectful people will tell you that being trans man/woman doesn't stop them being men and women). The most important thing is to respect what they tell you how they identify, be ready to listen to them explain what it means if they trust you enough to share, and don't question them believing they owe you an explanation. Find a pro-trans activist who IS ready to talk about it and already done a video or book etc, if you're curious to learn more about different trans peoples experiences (and aim for more than one view - again, a spectrum of experiences and views exist!). because the average trans person has enough to deal with in day to day life, most don't care to explain it yet again when theres a non-trivial risk of significant stress or attacks or inability to listen and understand. Recommend to do your own work for trans/bi/..., don't put the work on them just cos they're the only (out) trans (or bi/...) person you've met.

"You're just doing it for attention/to be cool" is the only thing stopping me from coming out. It kills me that people don't believe me when I say I'm Bisexual, even my friends who are bi because they think I'm copying them to fit in.
You guys who are hating on gay and bi people need to grow up. How do their lives affect you in any way whatsoever? Grow up. It's nearly 2015, and people are still immature and hateful towards people who are different.
NSA Commander Hating gay people isn't an opinion, it's being a bigot plain and simple. If you hate a sexuality or an entire race you're most likely a horrible person who deserves all the crap they get for hating said sexuality or race. It's 2015 quit being an idiot you don't have to complain about everything that gets you all butthurt inside.
DISPROVING THE "GREEDY" THEORY, NOW Let's say 2 people go out for soft-serve ice cream. They both order a medium ice cream cone. One person orders chocolate, the second person orders a chocolate vanilla twist. Since they got the same size, they got the same *amount* of ice cream, no one got more than the other. So is the second person "greedy", or do they just have a difference in taste?
Haha,I'm Bi to,it's so nice to see common sense used in 2015. I completely agree with you that it isn't greedy, in fact if anything less people would be willing to date a bi peron because they are bi. :\
+xxNatesterxx Exactly! the greediness is assumed, when again, that's morality not orientation! What about straight partners who cheat, or hire hookers? isn't that greed? We have a *capacity* to like guys or girls, that's not the same thing as wanting (or being with) both at once! And I got really pissed at some lesbians in a similar video basically refusing to date bi girls. It was awful...LGBT means we're all there and have to work together, not judge each other! It's almost worse than straight people hating, because lesbians and gay guy who are biphobic are hypocrites! But when they do refuse to be with us or whatever, we all have to remember it's their loss
Lesbian here. Literally had on a discussion with an actual bisexual girl I was seeing for a bit complaining how people didn't get her sexuality and was so glad I did and was comfortable with it. I told her people weird about dating bisexuals is usually tied to their own insecurities or lack of knowledge about it and I felt secure that who I was dating would love me for me and that I don't stigmatize it and understand it. So no issues there. I asked her how she felt about dating a bisexual man. She told me she struggled with that question all the time and could never bring herself to date one. The hypocrisy could've blown the damn roof right off her car.
How could a bi person be so biphobic towards the opposite gender? That is a lot of hipocracy right there. As a bisexual female I really have no issue with what your sexuality is as long as you are a good person. I have no issues with dating bi people eithe as my current girlfriend is also bi and I trust her and know she wont br cheating on me.
"Bi people eventually are straight or gay" No. If a person who happens to be monogamous wants to be with someone, they will pick ONE person. Who is either a man or a woman. It's not that hard I swear
Nice! Yeah, my wife and I do that a lot. She is bisexual as well, so we are very open about who we think is sexy...we check out women AND men together. It's just like how people in the 1500's persecuted scientists for witchcraft, and how the Romans persecuted the Christians for believing a different religion. People are afraid of things that are different, and things that they don't have control over. It's sad, but true. My mom actually told me that she'd be fine with me if I was gay or straight, but if I was bisexual, she would think that I'm weird. (She's still a great mom though)
Bisexuals aren't more likely to cheat on people. We just like females and males. I'd stay committed because I can't understand how people cheat. It's about who the person is, not what their sexuality is.
plus, it's not like it's that different than straight or gay people. if you are In a committed relationship, you probably won't fall for someone else no matter their gender. same thing goes for bisexuals (or biromantics)

It was hard for me to accept his sexuality and logic but then I thought wait I'm acting exactly like a homophob. I trust him, It took awhile for it to build because of fears. I guess my point is if your dating someone bi and everybody is getting in your head, if the person is genuine, give them a chance because you never know.
Darth Nito I'm sorry, I'm not at that point yet. I'm gay but bi's are in my to-not-date list; a precaution for my emotionally unstable self. I'd be more hurt if I ever see an ex back with a girl.

God being bi is so confusing and it's only because people like this make it so. Yes I'm attracted to both genders, but first of all lets step back from gender because that's not what it's all about. There are specifics about men and women that I find attractive, but it really comes down to the person specifically that turns me on. I'm tired of people always making it all about gender, why can't it just be about love?

My favorite parts of the video: Ashly: "but isn't that greedy, save some for the rest of us!" (It's funny because she's bi😂) Random guy: "let me get this straight, you're gay" get it? okay I'll leave now
This is the most annoying thing ever. Everyone is telling you to "Just pick one" This is not ok. People are fine with people being gay or straight, but you're not allowed to like guys and girls?
I almost prefer bi/pan guys because some straight guys are that closed minded... or my straight ex (while we were together) would talk about girls wiht better bodies and didn't get why it'd upset me. I'M STILL YOUR GIRLFRIEND AND YOU'RE NOT THAT ATTRACTED TO ME!
And bi people can like "everyone". I like people of the same gender as me and people of different genders. I choose to identify as bi, some identify as pan.
@Rainbow Cat bisexuality is when you like both guys and girls, polysexuality is when you like multiple genders, and pansexuality is when you like people regardless of gender.
Unless someone who could be classified as pansexual identifies as bisexual... and just to clarify, because I see a few transphobic comment here and there, being pansexual doesn’t mean being attracted to trans people (unless you mean non-binary people, but that still doesn’t make you pansexual)
Melanie Melanie Aye... Polysexuals are gr8... in fact for a while I thought I was Polysexual, until I realized I like girls too Also is your name perhaps a reference to Melanie Martinez? (if not it's chill too)
"You have to pick one gender, you can't have both." Okay, which one do you like better, a bed with no sheets or sheets with no bed? Remember, you can only pick one. You can't have both. Also, ugh. Imagine being pansexual. "Are you gay?" "No, I'm pan." "What is that?" "You kinda like all genders, it doesn't usually matter what they are." "So you're bi." "Bi is only two genders." "Yeah, exactly. So you're Bi." Noooooooooo... I'm not...
+JoanEgbertAndFriends I'm not totally understanding what pansexual is... forgive me if I accidently offend somebody... so is pansexual where you like boys and girls, regardless of whether they're gay, lesbian, bi, straight, cis, trans, all that stuff? correct me if I'm wrong and add anything I missed.
I have been confused about what pansexuality is because of the way they state it. Most people don't know about all the gender out there, you shouldn't be surprised when someone gets confused when you say something as vague as; "I like all gender." It is understandable however when you say; "I only look at personality."
bi's might get "so your'e gay right?" but when your pan you get the whole "wait. doesn't that mean you are bi?" "No. it means i like all genders." "How can you like all genders if there is only 2?"
Angelina Sambuca there are only two SEXES(some are born with both parts) but gender is a spectrum that had no limits. that is the difference, bisexuals only like 2 genders as a preference while pansexuals like them all and have no preference
+Clippy chan but dont people identify as one or the other for the most part? Even if you're born with both, you can still be male or female. You can be both obviously, but on personallity it normally shifts more towards one area. So wouldn't that make them that one gender? I keep seeing this whole comment section talking about how pans get these questions. But no one says what actually makes them different. Like you just said. "Its a spectrum" Well yeah... but what else is on it. Even if you're a drag queen, or drag king, you would sexually most likely be female or male. If you're trans, you identify as female or male. So i just dont see what else is there. v.v
Cressy Cresitonia there are a lot more genders than that, some genders such as demigirls and demiguys feel partially female/male (like what you where explaining in your comment) while people that are genderqueer feel like a mix of different genders and feel different each day. there is also agender which is someone who feels like they aren't a boy, girl, or anything n between. as it is a spectrum some people feel more like one or the other, other people feel a balance of both, and others don't feel like they have a gender at all. hope this cleared things up a bit :3
I know this is an old vid, but it's still Totally relatable. I was at a party one time and two of my friends were trying to set me up with a bunch of guys simply because they were "also gay". We need to end this kind of insensitivity.

Andrew Cechy yeah. because it is the norm. but in these vids they make out all lgbt people to be level headed perfect understanding people and everyone else to be ignorant bigots that cant fathom the idea of being gay, bi, etc... they try too hard to make gay couples be a norm.
Andrew Cechy Yeah buzz feed tries way to hard to make homosexuality seem normal, but no amount a videos will change statistics. Heteronormativity will dominate because a mass majority of all people are heterosexual. It is illogical to make deviants seem normal.

You guys who are hating on gay and bi people need to grow up. How do their lives affect you in any way whatsoever? Grow up. It's nearly 2015, and people are still immature and hateful towards people who are different.
Well said Gabe, well said. Now where's half life 3 you fool.
NSA Commander Well if I do remember to yesterday you were one of the annoying ignorant bigots crying on yesterdays lgbt video so just guessing here.
NSA Commander That isn't exactly a commendable quality.
trey daniels Nope, he's right. Hatred is from bigoted roots.
DISPROVING THE "GREEDY" THEORY, NOW
Let's say 2 people go out for soft-serve ice cream. They both order a medium ice cream cone. One person orders chocolate, the second person orders a chocolate vanilla twist. Since they got the same size, they got the same *amount* of ice cream, no one got more than the other. So is the second person "greedy", or do they just have a difference in taste?
I couldn't have worded that any better. That sentence has completed my life.

Never understood the bi hate, why would you hate on me just because you like vanilla and I like vanilla and chocolate?
"So you like everyone!!!???"
I believe you're thinking about pan
Correction pans could like everyone but don't necasserily like everyone but I get your drift
And bi people can like "everyone". I like people of the same gender as me and people of different genders. I choose to identify as bi, some identify as pan.
It's even frustrating when people call pansexuals bisexuals, it's not the same thing people.
it doesn't exist
@@tommybontempo6558 It does. I do exist
@Rainbow Cat bisexuality is when you like both guys and girls, polysexuality is when you like multiple genders, and pansexuality is when you like people regardless of gender.
@@PrivateBryan maybe but bisexuals don't date transgender etc and pansexual date everyone
Unless someone who could be classified as pansexual identifies as bisexual... and just to clarify, because I see a few transphobic comment here and there, being pansexual doesn’t mean being attracted to trans people (unless you mean non-binary people, but that still doesn’t make you pansexual)
Pan and Bi girls get this to
Ava Bailey-Torres They made a separate video for that.
can you send me a link?
Ava Bailey-Torres There's one at the end of the video.
Ava Bailey-Torres Not really, Pansexual people get even more shit.
Will Nintendo Because they are a made up sexuality.
wait is kenny actually bi?
Yes
❤️
So he's gay?
Caroline Patterson Yes if you put buzzfeed kenny into youtube there's a video called coming out but not really
Bruce Wayne ....I'll be in my bunk.
pansexual problems? but it might be similar to bi probs idk
there would just be a lot more wtf is that?
Quite similar to bi, probably, just a bit more explanation of the whole non-binary concept and all that.
True ^^
But that would give pan people more recognition, which is always good!
Yeah that's true I hope they make one!
"But then on Wednesdays you rest, because that's like a personal day" lmao😂😂😂

Bisexuality is real people I'm bi cause I do like some women but also like guys.

I feel you 💯 @eoprocks
And you probably will end up with women, and people will still think that you're straight
pansexual or asexual problems please!?
Yes please... sometimes I just say I'm bi cause I'm tired of explaining what pansexual is
Polysexual right here
Melanie Melanie Aye... Polysexuals are gr8... in fact for a while I thought I was Polysexual, until I realized I like girls too
Also is your name perhaps a reference to Melanie Martinez? (if not it's chill too)
No, it's like my nickname. I listen to her though.
Melanie Melanie Oh haha yeah I love her a lot ;) I'm a crybaby at heart
*internal scream builds* SO MANY TRIGGERS!
I actually came out as Bi this year and luckily my friands and family have been vary supportive and excepting. :D

Matty W Great, but don't expect that from everyone
Alak Magalhães I know. Haters gonna hate :P

"You have to pick one gender, you can't have both." Okay, which one do you like better, a bed with no sheets or sheets with no bed? Remember, you can only pick one. You can't have both.
Also, ugh. Imagine being pansexual. "Are you gay?"
"No, I'm pan."
"What is that?"
"You kinda like all genders, it doesn't usually matter what they are."
"So you're bi."
"Bi is only two genders."
"Yeah, exactly. So you're Bi."
Noooooooooo... I'm not...
Also male and female aren't the only goddamn genders, Jesus.
Jessie ! Yes.
We are also attracted to Non-Binary/intersex people.
We have a saying here in our community; Hearts, not parts.
I have been confused about what pansexuality is because of the way they state it. Most people don't know about all the gender out there, you shouldn't be surprised when someone gets confused when you say something as vague as; "I like all gender."
It is understandable however when you say; "I only look at personality."
Sir Yabas III BASICALLY;
We love people for them.
bi's might get "so your'e gay right?"
but when your pan you get the whole
"wait. doesn't that mean you are bi?"
"No. it means i like all genders."
"How can you like all genders if there is only 2?"
Yes I just discorvered about pansexuals.. I dont get it either I think the same thing is there not only two genders?
Angelina Sambuca there are only two SEXES(some are born with both parts) but gender is a spectrum that had no limits.
that is the difference, bisexuals only like 2 genders as a preference while pansexuals like them all and have no preference
I get that ALL the time!!
"I like all genders!"
"So... you're bi...."
😒😒😒😒😒😒😒
None of them were even my type. Anyway, when I explained to them that I was bi, and not just "gay", my one of my friends proceeded to ask "What's the difference?". We need to end this kind of insensitivity.
Hey im from the present lol! Missed out on all these good conversations.
Anyways its not so bad. Dummies are all around, and most first dates will feature intense questioning about your sexuality. You get used to it. At least its not like it was 15 years ago
explaining when coming out is hardest
I drew like 5 pie charts and a venn diagram ._.
I guess I was lucky? My aunt is gay so she bit that bullet by coming out before I was born.
Evan Nesbitt i think you mean lesbian.
xKutee x gay is an umbrella term for both males and females.
I'm literally cringing at this video because I have literally heard a majority of these comments more than once ughhhh

yea i'm used to that...
+hungrypikachu135 RIGHT. PAN NATION HERE

I know right,,, like, we're here too you know ;((
I doubt we'd ever get an omni version of this and most definitely not exactly what I am (or even really any form of romantic-sexuality difference like pan and ace together) so basically I'm just gonna route for pansexuality here too xD
No offense but until last month I thought pansexuality was the same as Bi (which I am) until my pan friend explained it to me
jesus buzzfeed, stop trying so hard to be non homophobic. its ridiculous. now you're putting a gay couple or gay related topic in EVERY VID! WE GET IT!
Do you actually think they're trying to be non homophobic by posting these videos? They're actually posting them because a lot of people enjoy watching them such as myself, not posting a video about LGBT things doesn't make you homophobic pal.
Albert Hollow haha, im amazed we've gotten this far without someone raging about how much they hate gays or something like it. people tend to not stay calm when talking about beliefs. im christian, i dont hate gays and im not prejudice, i just dont support it. I hate that if you're not for the public opinion then you're suddenly a homo hating irrational nazi bigot. let people have their opinions
Albert Hollow haha XD yeah, it just sucks that when a few "christians" go and blab about how everyones going to hell and that gays are the bane of existence and etc... because then people make all of us out to be ignorant pricks. its like saying all muslims are jihadist bombers
HahAh bisexual girl here. A lot of these are relatable, and absolutely no one knew that I was actually bisexual because of how straight I look 😂 I mean, I still prefer guys over girls, I just have a taste for girls too.
How does one *look* straight?
Lesbians totally have a stereotypical look
On side note people were calling me a pansy long before i realized i was bi (i bloomed later than the avg guy when it came to sexual attraction i was 15)
It doesn't matter if you're a girl, no matter what you guys do it'll always be seen as a turn-on regardless. But oh no, God forbid you have a penis in your bio know what all horrible thing. I'm being sarcastic. You guys are such in your own bubble because all you know is validation attention guys want you and on the other side is the exact opposite so you can't talk on this because you don't know what it's like to be male and bisexual. Because of your gender Society always has your back no matter what but when it comes to us every little thing is nothing but criticism every little thing is fit into this box of what we want you to be because you're a man
Can they make a pansexual version of this???
Seriously
I'm pan, and I swear to god everyone things I'm confusing... they're like "so you can fall in love with pizza?" 😒
+Krystelle Anne Ternura Ikr and don't forgot the oh so clever "so you like pans? are you attracted to kitchenware?"
My god yes
It's kinda the same experience tho, seeing as trans men and women are still men and women
I don't want to see/hear how these people would react to a pansexual! LOL
+adrianloveslucius ikr
Actually thats not an bad idea.
omg yes

Where does pan fall, if it sexual attraction then it's by the body normally so I don't get how pan is different to bi? As a bi guy myself
Being bi, I want to say THANK YOU there is discrimination from straights and gays about being bi. More bi awareness is needed.
My boyfriend is bi. He broke up with 3 girls before then came to me.
And my words to him: "break up with your girlfriend, cuz I'm bored" 😂

- people thinking you’re just gay

- people not knowing what it is
- having to explain it over

Yeah a lot of problems u are a bisexual Who:
1 is transphobic
2 doesn't know the definition of bisexual
3 u want to be "different and cool"
“- people thinking you're just gay“
If you're lucky they think you're just bi but want to be more fancy.
@@gonzalolik4381 how did you come to those conclusions?
@@michaelhomes8049 I am going to put it easy. We bisexuals like every gender on earth, we don't care about your gender. Pansexual is the same but is transphobic because "they are differences in cis people and trans" and "bisexual only like cis people". So pansexual are bisexual but the existence of pansexual beyond bisexual is in fact transphobic.
