You guessed on many of them, because there were some that you could not tell. I don't care if every friend is gay or no friend is gay, if you got more than 12-14 just off looks without words being spoken, then you flat out guessed on a mathematical equation that was 50/50.
It does not matter that much if you're gay or not for this. It all comes down to your ability to see patterns. However, unless you've never met a (confirmed) gay person, then of course it will be hard to see any pattern. The more you've been exposed to gay people, the more data you have to pull patterns from. Exposed can also of course be things like watching them on media (UA-cam, celebrities etc) I can imagine it helps living in a country where openly gay people are accepted, as it helps to make the patterns more clear. If gay people claim to be straight because it's not accepted, then you will much more easily think that very effeminate men are often straight too, while they are usually gay in reality. Ai can also guess with quite accuracy if someone is gay based on their face. I think at this point it guesses 9 out of 10 times correctly. Also, gay people more often than straight have reversed direction of growth direction in their crown hair. Either it was more often clock wise or counter clockwise. I can't recall exactly. However, such patterns are all interesting!

obviously this isn't a hard and boud rule, but sociologically, people take on mannerisms, behaviors, appearances, etc. of social groups. In this case, it's a signaling device to others. Usually people want to to communicate with others (to whatever degree suits them) who they're interested in, (as well as who who they're not) and what social group they belong to. Someone's "gaydar" would line up with how well attuned they are to the subtle signaling of others. That's what I'd say is going on here.
