2024 and still bumping who is with me.
Fuck yeah me too forever.
Right here bro fuck yeah
All day everyday
MAY 2024 AND BEYOND. 👊
Everyday man
There'll never be a latin/hispanic rap crew like Cypress again...
You're definitely right on about that. 👍🏻
Plus they would smash many so called rappers in this timeline as well
@Leeroy Jenkins their music ain't... Its representative of the urban Hispanic/Latin gang culture of the time.
@El Vato Now I'm wondering how in the I've never heard this before?? Thanks for the recommendation!
@@chrisgerard1650 people keep saying that... Like it matters. Its good music regardless of who creates it. The whole "white, black, hispanic, latin" is probably cuz of all the bullshit happening in the U.S. right now. I can't wrap my head around all the anti white sentiment that a few dumbasses keep spreading. If you hate anyone because of their skin color... You might be a racist... Lol. Yes, BLM... I'm talking about YOU!
51yrs old, still loving the Cypress Hill beats, this is one of my favorite.
me too 51. loving them since hand on the pump
44
me too. still bangin dis shit
49 bruh! Play this Shit at my funeral!!
52 & this shit NEVER gets old 🔥
I'm a 48 year old white lady i live near Amish contry... I usually don't listen to rapp...go figure...n I Still love these guys! lol hits from the bong y'all!
You people have to remember that this was 1991. The "dance" that Cypress Hill does in this video, most rappers moved like that back in the day. Example: Black Sheep - "The Choice Is Yours". At the time, you couldn't help it. The beats of 1990s Hip-Hop was so insane at the time that you can't help but move to it. It was hard not to nod your head to the music of this era.
It's true. I was there
it was INSANE IN THE MEMBRANE!
Only punks would criticize.
Yes the Beats were insane. I moved how the music made my body move I just moved to the flow. Sounds just as beautiful today as it did back then. Take care everyone😎✌

Me, too, man! Me, too.
In my opinion these guys where the funkiest in rap they didn't get the props they deserved DJ Muggs had the sickest beats ever
manue3l1976 amen homey
Dont forget red,Mc-ren,and B-real yo
True words right here. Hoping the new album has a bit of this old school vibe
They did pretty well for themselves, this was big when it came out for sure, and their following albums which sold well. They killed it.
muggs cudda been a eastcoast dj facts
Muggs is one of the best and most underatted producers ever in hip hop
Find his page on spotify he's incredible active right now
This was DJ Muggs?!?!?! What a legend
Some of the hardest most murderous verses ever written.
Naw not even close Bruh!
Spice 1, Brotha Lycnh Hung
@@christopherorozco9404 can't forget C-BO
Not those fake gunteenagers like now
I think Geto Boys- Mind of a Lunatic gets that honor. But this is still good shit.
I was 14 years old when I heard this joint and became a Cypress Hill Fan!! 30 Years later I still blast this joint in my car!!
Word bro
Talk about not growing up!
Same here
DJ Muggs 2021 remix anyone?
Was 11
DJ Muggs was a real one for this.
Not only did he sample "Duke of Earl", he went even deeper in the crates and sampled Junior Walker's "Shotgun" at the of the song.
Fucking genius!!!
👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾👍🏽
The 90's. The best years of my life. Age 14-24. Best music. Best EVERYTHING. GEN X BABY.
Cypress hill is SO AGELESS
My jawn still N 2024 ❤
In a time when “social media” and “influencers” didn’t exist, EVERYBODY knew who Cypress Hill was even if they didn’t listen to rap. That’s raw skill and talent right there. No matter how much shitty “mumble rap” and other silly nonsense is promoted today, I always end up back here listening to the good stuff that made the foundation which current rappers stand on.
Right on bro.
X 10000000!
Bruh, honestly Cypress Hill was no different than Today’s rap
Это классика! Могу сравнить с SEPULTURA ,SLAYER .
Ahhh, well said my good man!! Today's so call rap is absolutely abysmal. God what ever happened to these seriously wicked beats with unique rappers spitting real skill. Damn I miss old school rap. I know I'll be criticized for saying that today's rap, hell today's "popular" music is just shit! Especially when we were so spoiled by having groups like this...
This is the golden era of hip hop and I was lucky enough to be 14/15 when this hit. What strikes me looking at this video is how authentic they were.No gimmicks,no scantily clad girls.no bling or money being thrown about.Just killer beats and amazing bars..absolute timeless ✌🏾
Can't forget the "Eastcoast Stomp" they was doin. Muggs was killin it lol. We used to dance like that back in the day as kids and didn't even know we was doin a actual dance.
@klijakuarikki They were only about 21 cause house of pain was 21 and they all came up together threw friendships with Mugs then Ev and B real hit it off and have been life long best friends since 91.
Truth brother. Good tunes good parties good times. Simple days
Bein a white kid listening to this back tho I was considered racist by my teachers somehow..lol
just stop
I still crank this shit and I'm 50. La,La,La,La.....LaLa.... La,Laaaaaaaahhhhh!!!!
I saw what you did there...well played vato
I’m like 62 and I listen to rap so does that explain that older people like rap as well? Lol 😆
explain me why this la lalaaaa was in methodman redman's da rockwilder
Hip Hop started as early as the 70's, so why wouldn't you still be listening? Especially that old school funky shit like this Cypress Hill joint! 😎
@@t4h4 A couple of Meth's songs he uses lines from older songs. Paying tribute to them. He said "That's it, That's all, Solo, single, no more no less" That was from KRSONE BDP (Poetry). Black Thought used some lines too.
45 y/o white boy from Idaho.... I've been bumping cypress hill for 30+ years... best rap group ever.
One of the most underrated hip hop albums of all time.....
Not underrated dude , real ones know 🥶
Nineties were without a doubt the most influential period of rap.
Not even.....go back to the 80's lyrics were at best! 90's brought out the gangsta rap, still like them both better than today's garbage!
@Playton Station yeah, I hear all the oldies.
Something happened somewhere ,sometime . Rap sucks anymore .
@@kennethandchristinejordon427 Yup,yup .
@@kennethandchristinejordon427 I agree. 80s first followed by the 90s.
🤔..and alot of us judge todays music
Cypress Hill God bless you and yours daily❤❤❤❤❤
RIP to those who have lost their lives to gun violence⚘️
Duke, duke, duke, duke of........love that Duke Of Earl sample!
Mondo dukes *dooks*
That Duke of Earl sample is legendary!
Also the sample of the song "Shotgun " at the end of the song
The funk freakers for real!
Really 😁
My dad showed me that song when I was ten … two years later this came out…. Two classics with a twist of my childhood
The most mexican thing you can so is sample an oldie
Muggs is a CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED beat maker. I wonder what happened to his collaboration with Tricky...
1st time I heard this. I was 12. I'm 48 now. Still rocks.
You couldn't have been 12. This song didn't come out in 1988..lol
I don't think most people remember how hard Cypress Hill hit in the early 90s. This was murder music you bumped in your car or on a cassette tape in your boombox at home. There was no Bone Thugs or Wu-Tang or Death Row records at this time. This was a huge leap in rap music.
92-93 was some wicked times
The best times
Yeah 91 was a big year for the west coast.Cube dropped his second classic album Death Certificate,DJ Quik dropped his classic debut Quik is the Name and Cypress debuted their classic.Thats all everyone around my way was playing and throw in some Geto Boys,Naughty By Nature, and Public Enemy
Love how the record crackle in Duke of Earl was used as part of the beat itself. Great production on this song.
When you had a nice stereo in the 90's and let the bass on a cypress hill album bump. The whole hood heard you
back when shockwave walkman was the shit !!
Talk about funky get down fellas still jamming this in 2022 😤
Grew up to this. Still pumping it 30 years later. Timeless
Damn this such a classic!! Can't believe I been bumping Cypress since '91
Old Ass!
Who's an ole ass when you get here boy and looking back what u be into you'll be like damn they had bars same every generation
Straight OG if you been jamming to this since ‘91
Me too since 1991
I've seen cypress hill 55x plus ➕times live.... cypress hill forever
Everyone in San Antonio was playing this tape when it came out. Whole album was amazing.
In Jersey too, this song was crazy popular
Every teenager around the World was bumping this album in their tape deck!
This album turns 30 years old this year 👊
aged like a fine wine
I was in high school (NY) when this came out. Everyone in NY was rocking this, wearing flannels and shit, lol nobody cared where they were from thats how dope they were.
I agree with your assessment lol
well said. they hit so hard in nyc. had all the nyc rappers support
We didn't even realize they were from Cali til the second album lol
@dareal05 the small percentage of Cali rappers who didn't get hated on by the east coast. The others were Cube and Snoop and maybe a few underground artist like Rass Kass,Pharcyde, and Souls of Michief
@@UA-cam_Street_Drifter True, and the Liks.
Golden Age of hip-hop. Greatness reverberates.
I GOT TO ADMIT THEY ADDED THAT TYPE OF HIP HOP THAT WE DON'T GET NOWADAYS BUMMER 😞
I was in like 8th grade in the US in a lilly-white suburb. This jam was awesome.
I’m obsessing over this song right now. It’s on replay
I used to have my cousin drop me off to middle school in his Isuzu Rodeo with subwoofers blasting this song. This album changed my life.
Underrated. Never mentioned when it comes to best duo or group
100% the best
@Playton Station yeah but even the Beastie Boys did that. But reguardless their contribution to Hiphop cant be forgotten. They were their for the hiphop golden years.
Duke of earl - Gene Chandler.
Cypress hill changed hip hop there own style followed them since 1991
Thank god for everything
Much respect to Cypress hill! B real is one of the best MCs ever!
This is hip hop in pure form!

Right here girl..
Old Skool Gangsta Rap!
Me
Listening in September 2020
The last vestige of the true rap group era before the solo and collab era of today. The east coast launched that rap group sort of tip since the early 80s and with break up of NWA was monumental to the trends being set in the west coast . Sort of like the early days of rock and roll went from solo rockers with a backing band to a collective identity of a rock group. Cypress hill remained a band for many years and that is impressive
who still bumping this in 2019🔥🔥🔥🙌
Adrian Herrera literally everyday after a long day of work smoking and drinking a cold modelo listening this song 🔥

Watching the music channel' The Box' got me into Cypress Hill.
That’s my boy Joseph (the main character driving to red car) he’s still around. He’s still in Brooklyn. For those that don’t know that video was filmed in Brooklyn NY
Yeah it was filmed in Red Hook which technically is Brooklyn but has a much different feel and vibe to it than the rest of Brooklyn does. I think it was supposed to be filmed in Manhattan in the same location they filmed how I could just kill a man but they moved it for some reason.
Jonathan Reynolds that area is now all new and it don’t exist like in the video. Actually this video is a time capsule now. All of Brooklyn is new. The niggas from my generation school these lil fools on how good they got it now.
Red hook
The vid was 🎥 in sunset park Brooklyn from 39 stréet and 1 ave to 57 street and 1 ave
Greenpoint Brooklyn. East River.
I've been riding with these cats for. At least 40yrs😊
Cypress Hill the first cassette I bought in the store with a parental advisory on the label back then, and they still sold it to me. classic
I lost the cassette after I joined the Navy.. lol

Man, this takes me back to happier days.
B Real has the best "bobbin to the beat" move
Saw them last night in AC. They rocked out the house! CH for life!!
51 years old and loved this since it dropped! Still works - pure classic!

It's aged amazingly.
This song and the entire album is an all time classic
Muggz was untouchable. His beats omfg his beats. Instantly, you know as soon as your heart 5 seconds
53 years old, grew up in east ny, Bklyn & Brownsville so im straight up east coast hip hop, but when this shit dropped, you couldn't help not liking it, cypress hill was the shit.
Sounds from the '90s was hard to beat man I saw these guys in '91 with rage against machine that that was dope
Classics. They dont make music like this anymore
It's why I stay away from shitty todays's rap garbage.
93 was the peak as far as I’m concerned.
Then it was all downhill from there.
When we grew up in a era where today’s generation couldn’t comprehend.
Back when the objective was to be original. I miss those days.
They just don’t make em like this anymore. One of my favourite groups of all time. Respect form the UK 🇬🇧 and glad to have grew up listening to them in the 90’s.
Is this music known in the UK?
@@omegajrz1269 of course brother. In that era only US hip hop ruled the world. The UK hip hop scene was dead.
@@irh1738 I personally really enjoy rock and electronic music.
Bro that cypress hill dance is the shit lol
+scumbag some of the realest in the game remind me of the peanuts crew when they dance lmao
+scumbag thats the east coast stomp cuz
+scumbag
that's not a dance. just some moves to the rhythm. srs men do not dance. go watch Shake it off or whatever you girls watch
Danilla229 That's a good way to put it. In 7th grade at the middle school dances at the time, we just stood around and occasionally did that movement from time to time. Then when Planet Rock came on all the breakdancers would battle and then when that song stopped everyone would just go back to standing around. Lol, ah good times
+scumbag Best worst dancers ever.
32 years old song ! Let that sink in.
OG CYPRESS HILL#1 LEGENDARY LEGENDS!
That car is beautiful! 😍
A clasic theme.
I turned fifty this year... And this stays in my rotation. Had the great fortune of seeing Cypress live twice once they opened for beastie boys in Jacksonville FL.. What a show.. And the other time was in Orlando with funkdoobiest and House of Pain.. 1990s hip hop was the best decade for hip hop.. Now I have to listen to UK hip hop to relate... I don't k now wth these American kids doing these days
Everybody's name starts with Lil '... Eveyone is gay, bi, Trans.. Which is support their right to be who they want to be this is America. But I'm jus saying I don't relate to hop hop these days
CYPRESS HILL STILL HITTING HARD IN 2019
This is why rap should still exist
The OG’s of the bucket hats!!! You young folk take note. Cypress HILL , shotgun go booyahhhh

There style first coming out was so different and unique. Brings back good memories.
DJ MUGGS beats are on so FUNKY
Cypress en mi corazón. 4 LIFE
I love when a young cat from nowadays find groups like cypress hill, and fall in love with it
Haven't heard this in years. My dad used to like this song so it's all right with me. That beat is nice.
This samples that drum loop from bdp's elementary
This is history... eventhough I was like 9 years old back then : ),,, and the fact that they were rocking bucket-hats back then just makes it even more dope!
LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LAAAA LOOK AT ALL OF THISE FUNERAL CARS! DOPE SHIT BACK IN THE 90'S
90s rap was the ill shit.....Cypress hill, beastie boys, house of pain, funkdoobiest. Great decade for me listening to these classics.
Half a lifetime later & this is STILL one of the hardest tracks!
"I'm headed up the river the boat and no paddle, and I'm handed out beatdowns"
My favorite Cypress Hill tune ever.
Old school gangsta rap is the true og shit. If these new school pop rappers were back in the 80s, theyd get popped real quick
That’s my boy driving the Red Thunderbird . BROOKLYN 🙌🏼
Hands down my favorite hip-hop song of all-time by a landslide. Got this entire on cassette in 1991. Still have it today. Best album I ever bought. :D

True Dat....This is a Fkn jam...
I think this was one of their best songs IMO. Loved the "headed up the river with a boat and no paddle" part too, esp. when I was high younger. Always kind of cracked me up! I played this CD (exactly) at work at the phone company yrs. later. Peeps were walking by cracking up too. But my boss turned it off at the "a to the muthaphuckin" k" part.
This song was real hip hop. Black Sunday is one of the illest rap albums of all time. People confuse it with metal but it’s pure hip hop.
this fucking album made history i wasn't alive when they dropped but i still listen to them today
Lets be real. B Real was mad real on this here joint. 1st verse was just art.
this so dope i miss these days on my momma
1 of the best albums of all time
B-real Metal Man and his brother we're cool, b-real the smartest hardcore Hempstead to date, but DJ Muggs legendary without him there wouldn't be no funk in funky, big props
