@@backyardburnouts8846 I also drive an 05 f-150. Regular maintenance and they last forever apparently? Bought it and replaced the engine, let's test that theory lol
I had an 34” on my 07 f150 with a leveling kit and zero rubbing or trimming. You can fit a tall tire on these trucks you just can’t be too wide or too much offset. I can’t remember the exact specs on my wheels but I believe they are 9 wide with zero offset
I'm running 17x10 fuel vapors with 35x12.5 atturo trail blade xts. You can definitely fit 35s with a 2.5 inch level kit but you have to trim quite a bit
I have 35s on my truck with a 2.5 level. Only trimmed the plastic at the bottom of the bumper. The tires are 315 wide on 9 inch wide wheels. I off-road the truck and don’t rub.
My 05 F150 has a 3" level kit. I run -6 offset 20x9 with summer AT's 35x12.50, rubs if turning in reverse. 0 offset 20x9 35x12.50 Mud Terrains no rubbing. Do have lots of upper A arm spring slap, running hard on logging roads. Just got Freedom off-road 3" coil overs and uppers in. Hopefully will fix that problem...
Just to add, i had an 04 F150 with a 2” level kit and i ran 295 70/17 Lexani Mud beast tires with a 9 wide wheel. It did not rub at all. I currently have an 06 F150 with a 4”rancho suspension lift and 315 70/17 tires. Had to trim the lower plastic valance and it still has a slight rub somewhere, just not sure. I do only hear it when making sharper slow speed turns however. So yeah, the 35x12.5 is literally one size up from my tires, but I can basically guarantee that you will have some rubbing. I guess it just depends on what offset of wheel you get also to help determine how much rubbing.
Yup its not so much the tire or the lift size but mostly what matters is how much offset/stance you are running and what you are doing with your lift and tire sizes to compensate for the offset.
I got a 06 Superman f150 4x4, 20x10 -25mm with lt295/55/20 needed to trim the plastic in the front which is super easy and basically no rub at all, got monster truck stance lmao

ACTUALLY 275 70 18 IS A 34" tire. The best way to make sure is to go to a web page like tacomaworld tire size calculator. Also that size is the cheapest and most available on the used market. What I don't get is why you want your tires to stick out 2-3 " out of the body. There are places where you will get quickly pulled over. That happened to the Autovlog guy and he had to buy fender flares. A negative 51mm offset is ridiculus.
We've got an 04 on the stock wheels but 32" Toyo open country tires with the front completely stock and just an extra leaf spring in the back whe didn't have to do any trimming and dont rub
@@colemanferrigan8713 yes. Congratulations, you can read a sentence. My family doesn't do mods to vehicles unless they serve a useful purpose. We tow a 36" camper with our truck. The camper's toung jack barely can reach the truck's hitch as it is. Therefore we cant lift it anymore than it already is. And recently we got new wheels on it because the old ones were starting to rust.

Do yall have any videos, reviews, or opinions on the freedom offroad 3in coilovers for these trucks? Or maybe the 1-4in adjustable coilovers of the same brand... Can't find any info anywhere on them. Currently have a 2in "puck" level running 37s with dirt king spindles with 3.5in lift. Using ksp 2-4in UCAs and the camber is off just slightly. I figure with a 3in lift it'll line up better between that "2-4" inches... but I really don't want a 3in puck. I believe "jarring" would be an understatement. So... looking for the perfect shock length. Considering coilovers with a small puck to hit that 3 in mark. Puck might also help prevent "too much" wheel travel with my 37s. Any input is welcome

If your looking for wheels and tires as long as you’re only on a 9 wide -18 I’d run nothing bigger than a 34x12 for minor trimming.
