@@markcodysr lmaoooo!!! 💀 that’s literally me. I legit have done that a few times before I finally figured out how the damn kickstands work. I thought mine got locked by someone else so I just ended up leaving and being charged for about 10min 🤦🏽♂️.
Then on my way back I tried again and ended up getting my finger caught in the kickstand and started leaking. I wasn’t even mad that I was bleeding, I was mad that I failed twice in front of the busiest restaurant AND got injured doing something so simple.
Glad I’m not the only one 😂
Who charges this things? What if i come up to one with low battery and it leaves me halfway through my commute
Renting a Bird scooter is great exercise. After walking blocks to a Bird scooter, the scooter either will not move, have 1/10th of the stated charge, will take off and ride fine then suddenly stop for no reason and not move again even though the app says the scooter still has '10 miles' of charge, or the scooter will not be at the site when you arrive even though you checked the app multiple times while walking to the location. Or if you are really luck you will walk blocks to the nearest Bird scooter to find it in 'sleep' mode after you just checked its availability on the app. But don't worry, even though you didn't get to ride that Bird you spent 20 minutes trying make move Bird will still charge you for it.
I bet it looked good on paper.
They go so fast I literally feel off of mine the couple of seconds
i was like at the aquarium of the pacific and so there were ine of these scooters and right when i held that trigger i literally got dragged
Bruh you low-key have no balance i rodd one first time last night at 11:30 pm I had a backpack and a longboard with me i had no problem i skated 2 miles to get to one and rode it for 2.1 miles only sketch part was riding with one hand
They have excellent acceleration, especially compared to Limes. They take you up the hill like a rocket.

These are awesome and very smart. Im seeing these everywhere. Its sad that these are put out there to help people out and there are people that ive seen treat these scooter like crap. I seen a kid riding one and hop off and chunk it in the grass. Wtf is wrong with people now days. You might say that the kid scooter was giving him problems. Hell no he was doing just fine. He was just done with it. And instead of parking it he chunks it.
I was wondering, in the town next to mine you can find a Bird every 5 feet, not even kidding (Zurich), however in MY town there aren't any. Can I just take one from one town and leave it in another? lol

I just don’t understand how those things aren’t being stolen and modified to use without the app..

The companies don't care if they get stolen. They get these scooters like $10.00 each (possibly cheaper) from the factory. They get the money back after 2 days of use. So if say 1 is stolen every 3 days they are still making money on it.

What type of charger do you need
My uncle wants me to set up his scooter but I don’t see a QR code. And the power button won’t turn on the scooter and it’s fully charged I’m not sure how to get it to work for him

They’re fun but I literally spent $60 riding one of these throughout the city where I live in about 2-3 hours make sure you dont have auto pay set up or this thing will literally eat your money

Cool..... but what happens if you pay for your bird and the battery is dead?
It won't let you even buy it if the battery is too low. It'll tell you "battery is too low". What else is pretty cool is... Bird pays people to charge their scooters. Anybody who is anybody can take them home and charge them, and it's set up in the app to where bird will pay you direct deposit for every scooter you charge and take back to a populated, safe place. They've thought of everything! Lol.
Dylan, I was going to ask how they got charged. Thanks for that information! Got them in Anadarko yet? We are in a rural town and there no birds. The two nearest cities, Winston-Salem and Greensboro, banned them for a while but I think that’s changed. Enjoying your vlogs!
I was in Cincinnati this past Friday evening and we saw a "juicer" (one of the contractors who does the recharging and probably other maintenance/redistribution related things). It was a couple guys in a pickup truck who stopped and grabbed a couple that were beside the road and left one that was apparently recharged. It was cool.

These things have become a real nightmare around Atlanta! They're left lying in the road and everywhere else, and countless people have gotten hurt on them. It's a mess here between all the various scooter and bicycle brands.
Matt_Waddy Yeah... I’m here in Austin, TX for the week and it’s the same kind of deal. Seems like they cause a lot of problems in general. But I will have to say, they do come in handy. I haven’t had to take a single Uber or Taxi the entire week down here for SXSW, which is saving me quite a bit of money!

Now that it's nearly 50 cents a minute, this service seems completely useless.

In my city you have to be 18 to use one. So you have to submit ID. I don't think it has to be a license but that's what most people have for an ID.

Don't buy bird scooters mine worked fine on first ride then the 2nd ride it unfolded on me and I got thrown off at 15mph and I unfolded it properly with the latch in locked place

This apps is a piece of shit, the fist time I use it I was not able to end the use of it, I have to come back to my feet, I was very limited to a little area and get frustated
and spent one hour to be able to end the ride by removing the apps and reload it.

@@deeyung Does Austin have shit public transport because in my city scooters are not worth the time or money. Unless we're talking about short distances that are way too easy to just walk. And taxi is luxury, don't compare this to taxi, compare it to a bus or whatever you got there. But good video, thanks.
