- Today Hera Björk from Iceland, Iolanda from Portugal, Raivan from Slovenia, Natalia Barbu from Moldova, Fahree from Azerbaijan, Tali from Luxembourg, Windows95Man from Finland and Electric Fields from Australia rehearsed. Here are my first impressions.

Underwhelmed: Luxembourg
Sort of a boring day, but Portugal was okay, Finland was fun, hope Slovenia will look okay on TV, Moldova has nice visuals. The rest are forgettable.

That happend with Romania 2021 ,Roxen had a a different outfit in rehearsals

That’s why I think it’s absolutely ridiculous to judge anything from rehearsals and very short clips. It just feels like more and more opportunities to criticise. I’m henceforth banning myself from any more social media, it destroys the enthusiasm rather than elevating it. No hate please, just my personal feelings.
@@annag1202 rehearsals give us a very blurry idea how the show will look like. Personally I think that everyone by now is more than ready and know best how to look cool on stage

Not an easy semi final to predict I liked Portugal and Australia staging a lot
I think Australia will qualify a lot of people are underrating them
The only NQ I'm sure are Moldova and Iceland the rest I'm not sure yet

Oh. No. I wrote this comment before seeing the TikTok shorts. Azerbaijan definitely looks elevated. Australia not so much. I was beginning to believe we might qualify because the song is great, and I was expecting a great staging. Nah…. That’s not going to happen….

Electric Fields has a lot of stage presence, and Zaacharia has a great tone to his voice….. but I think it’s all a bit sloppy when they’re on stage. It’s all very free-flowing and loose (including the vocals which can get a bit pitchy). It’s good for a live performance, but I don’t think it’ll translate to a good Eurovision entry. I was hoping the discipline of competing of competition would help, but that hope is fading.
I was totally cool with Australia with the music video, but that rehearsal did not help. It was a very short bit though.
I heard that Natalia doesn’t move during her performance because In The Middle is about a story about a statue

Don’t get that so much hate towards Azerbaijan, but 😂 now it is 90% qualifier with that stage. People like everyone in 2021 already underestimated Efendi and in 2022 Nadir, with stage they qualified. This one is easily qulifies if not it means there is a problem in Europe. For me NQ countries are: Australia, Moldova, Iceland, Finland, Cyprus/Luxembourg but probably Cyprus
So proud of Electric Fields - that would be Zaachariah's art work (or maybe Zaachariah's dad's) can't wait to see this in full.

As a sci-fi fan, I see the influence from Dune and Bene Gesserit sisterhood in at least 3 performances where backup performers have their heads covered like the characters in the movies. I'm sure it's actually not intentional, but I love this parallel 😊

For me yesterday's rehearsals were mostly better. This makes predicting even more difficult, because the first half was already stronger, and someone from the first half will have to NQ 😮
Slovenia is indeed very great. Moldova and Luxembourg are weak.I m surprised by Azerbadjan. Why is this song so underrated ?
Hmm, Slovenia, Finland and Moldova look like wardrobe malfunctions warning, kind of.
I prefer Moldova’s performance without the clones as I found it confusing which was one was her!
The fashion on this batch is PHENOMENAL! Some are elevated versions of what we saw before, some look completely new. I think all are better than their national finals / official videos, with the exception of Tali's...but I think you're onto something with the possibility that they're going to dress her differently at the semi. Maybe they are holding out for the reveal, or maybe the costume is having finished touches put on? But what she's wearing there just looks generic and forgettable.
I actually like Hera Björk's costume! The fringe feels very vintage and I think it goes well with the disco elements in the song.
Natalia Barbu and Fahree obviously have huge fashion updates and both look stellar, but even Iolanda, whose costume is definitely similar to her National Finals costume, just looks SOOO elegant and elevated and just....we are gonna be seeing some GREAT looks on the stage in Malmö!
Azerbaijan and Australia surprised me! Maybe Azerbaijan might qualify?! Luxembourg seemed a bit messy. I actually preferred their original staging!

Maybe it's just me but I found Raiven's outfit a bit too revealing honestly. I really liked the performance, based on what we got to see and she has a beautiful body ofc but well... just my opinion.

I think it’s the basic attitude unfortunately this year against Finnish entry and how the prejudice “ESC fandom” dislikes this performance claiming that this is “another joke entry that ruins the reputation of the ESC and doesn’t deserve anything positive comments”. I feel sad for the musicians and Henri the singer as he is not appreciated.

I wish Portugal kept the lace head coverings from the national final. I found them more impactful than current ones.
I’m dissapointed by Australia’s outfits. I was hoping Zachariah from Electric fields would wear something colourful and easy to dance in. I don’t think this gown with a long tail allows much movement. I was hoping for something more in line for what they wore for their Mardi Gras live performance.
I’m glad to read that is not Luxembourg final outfit. I’ve watched the tiktok video twice trying to understand their vision for what looks like a scuba suit 😅
Moldova visuals look pretty but I’m concerened by her sticking to just standing in the same spot and clapping.
I like Icelend’s look (both stage and outfit). Not sure about Slovenia, was hoping for some props.
Zaachariaha's outfit is made to catch the lights so it actually becomes a rainbow onstage.
Hera SLAYED with that hair and jumpsuit! Her confidence and experience also shows in her performance. I don't think she'll make it to the final but I'm happy with her performance
Raiven is giving her SOUL on that performnace. I cannot see how or why she is so low in the odds. Maybe I'm biased because she's my favourite this year but I just cannot accept the fact that, Finland, for example, is so high up the odds but she is not like... This BETTER qualify or else I'm gonna haunt Europe 😂
Speaking of Finland... I don't wanna speak about Finland. I wish them all the best. I know they're still traumatised by last year, but they don't need to punish us too 😂 Is it too late for them to say this was a joke and bring back Sinni Sabotage???
I cannot understand Moldova ditching the dancers. In the national final it was clear they were supposed to be the Caryatids, judging by the fact that they are standing like statues and are extremely static, and the greek statues in the LEDs. Her outfit seems greek-goddess-themed so it reinforces that theory. Maybe she is playing the British museum one 👀👀👀🤣
I like Azerbaijan's song but I don't get that staging, or what they're going through since last year. Did they run out of oil money?

Iolanda is another one that I cannot understand why it's so low in the odds.... I really hope she makes it. The initial hype of when I first heard Grito for the first time has kind of subsided but I still love it. Yes for vocals
Tali's hairstyle and outfit do not flatter her at all. The dancers look a bit odd to me too, it looks like they raided Monika Linkyte's wardrobe of orange 😂 Good use of the cubes indeed though
