And the company owner is "OUR owner". Yeah, I would like to limit my exposure to this sort of mentality.

My boss asked me later why I chose not to go and told her that I have issues with the team that I don't want to discuss and I prefer being by myself. All you have to do is show me who you are one time and that's it. I don't have deal with you once you show me who you are. My energy and peace of mind are more important to me than a luncheon.

I have experienced enough of this bullshit that sometimes i too want to write these kind of comments but then reality seeps in and then I know I have to fake my image on Linkedin. I was a appointed as Digital Marketing Manager in one such company and clearly HR didn't know what my job boundaries are. One day she came to me and said. Prateeeek we are going to shoot videos can you please help me in making our employees boomerang videos so that we can upload it on our instagram and I am like whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat. I left the company in 3 months and removed that company from my resume. That was my biggest mistake in life to join the company at lower salary just by looking work culture. NEVER SWITCH JOB without average 30% hike NEVER NEVER NEVER. and don't fall into the trap of the companies who would increase package after 6 months (you might be their lab rat for the position)
I think company culture does flow from the top down and permeate your business. So if you're greedy and cheesy, your entire business will be greedy and cheesy
I think it's almost a form of abuse to insist that your employees get emotionally involved in seeing you get rich. All I would ask as a business owner (if I was one) is do the job I'm paying you to do, and do is reasonably well so as not to lose me clients. That's it. I even think that unless you are paying very high salary, you can't expect people to work themselves hard. E.g. Don't expect someone to do 12 hrs work in 8hrs - again that's abuse
@baby turtle uh what world are you living in? There are still a ton of rights that havent been won yet. Conversion therapy is STILL LEGAL on a federal level despite there being numerous studies that say it does more harm then good
What i have learned from corporate america is that ya better make as much as ya can, as fast as ya can for as long as ya can. . . and save as much as you can so you can sqtop doing all of this as soon as you can. Or... Have a better way to make money. I'd go with the better way, if possible. But the first way is okay, I guess, if ya can't think of a better way.
Why I insist to be hourly. I get out of these events by just saying hey am I getting paid to show up? No? Well since I'm not salary I cant be forced to show up.
I have made it clear to my boss that I really do not mind if we have a good solid meeting that it takes longer and I spend some of my own time having it. But I ain't going to plan a meeting outside of work hours because the sales department would be otherwise too busy. If it ain't worth it to do the meeting in "his" time, then ain't worth it to do it in mine.
Company Story: They made us do a 1 week summer camp at Camp Crystal Lake remote first employee event. Mandatory. We were separated into "camp groups", had 2 hour scheduled events daily, on camera mandatory. Campfire horror stories, pictionary (never understodd that one), games, prizes, and a "who am I and what i want to do at fake camp" speech. I was 40 years old and just wanted to work. The week after, I had about 2 deadlines on 2 projects, crunched to make up the time. Fuck Camp.
Felt I had to share a group interview expwrience when you shared it. I was once in a group interview foe an IT consulting firm, they actually had a 'spy' in the group. He asked what we thought about tge company and the interviewer before outing himself. Also tge group interview went on for 2 WHOLE days.
I never found any benefit with Linkedin, all I got was spam and shady pseudo entrepreneurs contacting me. I'm so glad I'm out of the corporate rat race. The last job I had was at a world wide corporate company and there were always these team meetings and group dynamics that were annoying as hell. And of course, if you don't want to go with the flow you're the "bad guy". Never again. I may not have a steady income but I'm immensly happier.
How have I only just stumbled upon this gem!!! This is the reason I contracted for 2 years solid and then piled my earnings into rental properties....I can still hear bullshit but it will fade with each beautiful lie in.

6:02 "WHYYY???" hahahahahahaha LMFAO
“Something ballsack”. I was laughing so hard.
These badges are revolutionary
Is it a coincidence that the term 'onboarding' sounds so much like 'waterboarding'
"What is this Soap?" hehe. Yeah and some Deodorant, and breath-mints - no one wants to share office with Stinky :D
What about a can of Mace? - coz you're gonna be leaving that office pretty late some nights...
Please make more videos on Corporate Culture of India , They think that we are their slaves , more than 9 hours of work almost every day , calling us at odd hours and working on Sat and Sun , unpaid work .
This is hands down my new favorite channel.
I really though I was the only one that recognized and despised the never ending flood of corporate weasel posts on LinkedIn. They are uniformly transparent. The titles, though.... the titles.
Your anti-grind work is truly activism
My God, HR has bloated beyond belief...
‘Company Culture’ is bizarro. Bosses are afraid of employees that aren’t dedicated mind body and spirit to the tasks they’re assigned
My co workers (even my fellow millennials) all make me feel like an outcast because I always pass on the after hours hang outs, or yearly holiday parties, without giving it a second thought. I'll choose hanging out with my actual family 10/10 times.
I mean for fucks sake, one of the upper management literally calls us "company property" during work hours. And the company owner is "OUR owner". Yeah, I would like to limit my exposure to this sort of mentality.
I don't go to company events unless they pay me, don't work for them to be happy with me or to be nice, I work for money why the fuck I would be bulding someone else's dream if it wasn't for money wtf.
I hate LinkedIn and deleted it years ago. But now I'm remaking it, and this time I will be a freelance CEO.
Ugh. Some companies just try WAY too hard.
You are very cheeky. "if you didn't like the vid, double click the thumbs down", the first click will dislike the vid and the second one will remove the dislike.
...lol
My thoughts exactly. Plus the interactivity for the algorithm.
WIN WIN!
My first real job was for Wal Mart. That brought back some flashbacks of stuff I rather forget. lol
I declined to go to a department luncheon. I was the only employe that stayed behind and worked and enjoyed being by myself. My boss asked me later why I chose not to go and told her that I have issues with the team that I don't want to discuss and I prefer being by myself. All you have to do is show me who you are one time and that's it. I don't have deal with you once you show me who you are. My energy and peace of mind are more important to me than a luncheon.
Just deleted my account today! Had enough of this corporate CS!!
Louder for the people in the back Josh! I'm so sick of company culture that is a waste of time and utter bullshit. You're right. We're there for the paycheck nothing else then life's a bitch and we die. The. End.
You changed the way I look at the company I work for bro, you're right they treat us like children. love your video's man, keep up the good work
2:56: That Snickers is really what sells it. We value you as an employee so fucking little, that we won't even bother you with a FULL SIZED FUCKING SNICKERS. Because that would just be extraneous waste of money. All this other stuff is just their PR junk about to hit their expiration date, because they ordered a million cups and only managed to push three on people at the previous expo they booked a table at.
Dude, you're on a whole new level now, this is gold! As someone who worked for one of these companies, I can fully relate
And the Snickers Bar is BITE SIZED!
They do all this crap and lay you off during pandemic like you are nothing
@Viganch0 yeh, these companies ain't sitting around to make our lives better, all they care is $$$$!!!
I only got my cheap pen... that didn’t work... after my first year LOL
I just want to do my work and go home. I don't care about company lunches, coffee, snacks, culture etc..
joshua. You are truly a legend.
Prateeeek we are going to shoot videos can you please help me in making our employees boomerang videos so that we can upload it on our instagram
and I am like whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat.
Imagine having to be the admin of your employer's LinkedIn page...yeah that's my hell...
Need more of these Josuha bro
Legit curious if any of them take the time to respond to you, looking forward to next one i guess :)) love from Romania!
They have
@baby turtle that is very rude
@baby turtle maybe because they want to be lgbt friendly because, right now in the US, you can be legally fired for just being lgbt
@@xenonsan3110 huh?
@baby turtle uh what world are you living in? There are still a ton of rights that havent been won yet. Conversion therapy is STILL LEGAL on a federal level despite there being numerous studies that say it does more harm then good
What i have learned from corporate america is that ya better make as much as ya can, as fast as ya can for as long as ya can. . . and save as much as you can so you can sqtop doing all of this as soon as you can. Or...
Have a better way to make money.
I'd go with the better way, if possible.
But the first way is okay, I guess, if ya can't think of a better way.
I’m not trying to abandon the company family, but when can I go home?
Take a shot every time an interviewer mentions “culture” and “family”
Why I insist to be hourly. I get out of these events by just saying hey am I getting paid to show up? No? Well since I'm not salary I cant be forced to show up.
I have made it clear to my boss that I really do not mind if we have a good solid meeting that it takes longer and I spend some of my own time having it. But I ain't going to plan a meeting outside of work hours because the sales department would be otherwise too busy. If it ain't worth it to do the meeting in "his" time, then ain't worth it to do it in mine.
Josh you should make videos about your reaction to firms that won “best company to work for” accolades!
Ooooo
@@JoshuaFluke1 This means you're splitting the ad revenue with me right?

That energy exercise, I've done it before in a shiatsu class, it's the most spiritual experience I've ever had, still not quite sure what I felt.
Anytime my job would have mandatory morning meetings (off the clock of course.)
I just never showed up and they never said anything to me.
Hi Josh, I'm new to your channel and enjoying so much your Cringe certified stamps on LinkedIn 😂 Super satisfying, thank you!
There is an episode of dragon ball where gohan teaches Videl the same technique.
Yes, they want you to think of them as your family because getting fired from your family would really suck. Lol
Raising Cane’s is the worst when it comes to corporate cringe it’s like a cult working there.
Yup!
Absolutely love these types of videos
How have I only just stumbled upon this gem!!! This is the reason I contracted for 2 years solid and then piled my earnings into rental properties....I can still hear bullshit but it will fade with each beautiful lie in.
>we're just going to be pushed further towards being treated like children
>hr departments are run largely by childless career women
coincidence?
I died when you made that energy ball appear between your hands 😂
I wish there were more people like you. Life would be more enjoyable even at work
Lmaooo 3:29 🤣 me during most “core values” meetings.
😂 6:00 BAMBOOLIGANS I’m crying. Please call your fan base that from now on.
Edit: Josh. Love your content and this series but: please just make sure this doesn’t turn into bullying or hating on people who are just tryna do their job. The problem lies I think with the culture as a whole not as much individuals using buzzwords like rockstar etc....I think some of them are just playing the game themselves.
yeah I agree with this, I could see it going too far. Especially with his fan base
That said, fuck it it needs to be done
Bambooligains trademarked by Joshua fluke, then they will stop using it.
We have core values....pretty sure if I had to make a choice between following the core values or the €10.000 order my boss would really appreciate it if I went for the order.
Lol, that first energy thing is a party trick we all did in primary school. We called it the invisible bubble.
I'm surprised you didn't review the 'Today's News' section... I mean, that headline about 'more women driven towards trucking' sounds riveting.
I'm with you on the group interviews, having experienced one myself. F that noise.
