- A surf rock / 60s pop inspired arrangement of the famous Chocobo Theme composed originally by Nobuo Uematsu for the Final Fantasy series! First heard in Final Fantasy II, it's received many arrangements since then. This one features a ripping guitar solo, and some other famous Surf Rock quotes thrown in for good measure including "Miserlou" and "Walk Don't Run" Hope you enjoy!! Long live video game music :)

"The 8-Bit Big Band" is a 30-65 member Jazz/pops orchestra that formed to celebrate and realize some of the best themes from video game music from all consoles and eras arranged in a large ensemble Jazz/Pop/Rock setting!
Blending together timeless musical themes from Nintendo, Sega, Playstation, and more then re-arranging them in genres and styles of all musical inspirations, The 8-Bit Big Band has members from all around the world, but most reside primarily in New York City, and are some of the most highly sought after musicians and performers.

@@chegadesuade well if it werent for "mixing content", i wouldnt have ever learned of the song in the first place...i never played FinFan, so i never wouldve known about its soundtrack...if it werent for the "victory theme" memes, i wouldnt know what the FF Victory Theme sounded like...but have fun living with a Closed Mind, i guess...meanwhile, i got a playlist full of mashups, of songs that Should Not have ever been paired together (Eminem + Rammstein? why not! xD)

Man, it's so nice how much better videogame arrangements have gotten, in terms of arrangement/production quality, and number of professional musicians actually interested in participating in such projects.
As someone who was in a (small) videogame cover band, and actually played this song in it, this brings back mad nostalgia.
You should check out the Cuphead soundtrack if you haven’t already, all of their music was played with a live band

Not sure how this channel doesn't have more subs. It's some of the highest quality game music I've heard.
I really enjoy watching each and every performer in this video. At time's they are working so hard And, at others, they are enjoying their respite. As brief as it may be. Then they kick back in! "Hard like donkey" Following through to completion. This version of this song should be classified "Official" I do believe.
