Benny's Sinatra style is so well-tuned, I felt like he was nailing it from the swagger in the word 'success' right at the top.

Valve
Please
See this
Too bad Valve doesn't care about Portal.
But it would be the third game of portal and everyone knows valve has triskaphobia...
Valve is Steam now. I don't think they're ever going to make games again.
@@Whovian1029 they still make games, they released a shitty card game not too long ago

Oh you sweet summer child
Benny Benack's singing voice is literally the most charming, satisfying voice i've ever heard.
Check out his albums too. "I've got a lot of living to do" is great.
Shout-out to the unsung hero in charge of displaying the lyrics -- that was top-notch work! 👌
Thanks man, I really appreciate it! This one was a lot of fun to try and play with the words and, or course, thinking with portals!
They looked really good :) I think there are some errors though - they don't match what's at the end of the game, if memory serves correctly.
I don’t know why, but I find the turret syncing with the trumpets trilling at 1:10 really clever.
Honestly prefer "Want You Gone" ,but this?
This is damn good too.
Dr. Granola. I agree, I want to see a cover of that one
Both are awesome
Okay this is epic
This was simply delightful to watch
this should have been in the original game, it makes the disconnect/sarcasm even stronger with the lyrics
I know, right? 'So I'm glad I got burned. Think of all the things we learned' and 'When I look out there, it makes me glad I'm not you' has no right to sound so happy and upbeat.
Damn, Benny Benack was dead on with Frank Sinatra’s vocal patters as well as the band who were fantastic as always with the classic big band sound. Bravo to everyone contributing to the composition of this wonderful arrangement! 🎶
@The 8-Bit Big Band

I can imagine a villain dancing as he strolls through a building full of gunfire and chaos, and then the final chorus is where he leaves the building, it explodes, and the villain slowly walks away from the camera out of sight, not until he says, "I'm still alive, baby!" does the camera focus shrink to said villain and the screen ultimately turns completely black

That's the sweet sound of big band, my friend. I highly recommend it. Been a fan of it since a kid and never looked back.
Somewhere beyond the sea
That's a pretty spot on Frank Sinatra.
An absolute joy to listen to! I wanna hear Benny singing a Portal Christmas album XD.
Seriously, that voice, that orchestera, I miss having good big band tunes to listen to!

I do actually.
I'd rather it be in New Vegas, me personally.

This song would be a big hit in the institute
At first I was like 'no way, this wouldn't work, no way Frank Sinatra actually went through with this'
And the moment the trumpets hit I was floored, Frank Sinatra's voice actually sounds good when played with the Big Band method! I don't regret checking this video out! Saving it to my favorites playlist!
