All of those Russian folk song references were great. I liked how you guys slowed everything down on the kalinka part, like how it’s super slow in the beginning.
@@TaylorRussell_TheAnimator :O Holy cow!! You did an amazing job with this!! Keep up the amazing work! :D Do you usually do the visuals for these videos?

I love how the feel of the hard drops of Tetris are written right into the song! It of course helps that it is made obvious by the sprite animation, but it's such a cool compositional feature that I'll never unhear when listening to this song again and again.
Amazing work. It seems that you guys really push yourselves and your talents to the limit to make interesting and different arrangements of all these classic songs. It shows and it's clearly paying off. Keep it up, this blew me away.
Not only did you guys kill it, but you gave me the name to a song that has eluded me since my childhood: the Song of the Volga Boatman. That's nearly 30 years that tune has rattled around in my head, unnamed.

All of those Russian folk song references were great. I liked how you guys slowed everything down on the kalinka part, like how it’s super slow in the beginning.
There are just two rusian songs referenced here. And the first and main song is not a folk song. It was writen on poem of Nikolay Nikrasov.
And one more thing. Thre is no kalinka here. Just "korobushka" and "hey, uhnem".
Andrey r Well, I didn’t mean referencing actual songs. More like referencing cliches or common techniques found in Russian folk songs.

I knew Tetris was Russian, but it never occurred to me the theme tune was inspired by Kossack music!
The Tetris theme was made by a Japanese man. This is what he thought Russian songs were like.
