Love them all together because they were so tight, so in tune with each other, like major league athletes, each doing their part to bring it home. Even though they were brilliant individually, together they were magic.
@@user-em4wh5ji3w so true sadly. But luckily musically they were like trained horses and by that point it was like second nature to just mesh with each other when doing a song. Their standards were so high, even if they felt they weren't giving their all at that point it was still miles above any other 4 musicians.
The reason for this song and it's message is so beautiful. He's telling Julian to not repress and that a cold man would only make the world colder when he refuses to feel and have hope! God, I love these guys and especially Paul for writing such a wonderful song!
That was INCREDIBLY FANTASTIC. Thank you so much for posting it. Finally, we have actual audio from the room, rather than post-production audio that is syncronized to the original 'action'. And this, in some ways rougher, audio is far more exciting, if you ask me. And it is wonderful to see and hear the whole of this take, where we have only previously had pieces of it. Thank you so much, again. By the way, I swear that I can hear a Ringo drum roll at 1.44, and he himself said that he is incapable of doing a drum roll.
Oh don’t they just make it look so easy? The talent of these four never ceases to amaze me. I noticed the words must have changed to, ‘You have found her, now go out and get her’ on a later take. Seeing them as themselves, just four friends making music is so special to me. This glimpse of the Beatles, just as John, Paul, George & Ringo. Much love and respect mixed with a touch of sadness for what once was the times of our lives. Thank You for this touching video. 🙏🏽 Always ✌🏽 &❤️
I was spray painting a car in a small garage and the fumes were heavy. The this song came on the little transistor radio we had. My partner and I sang at the top of our lungs as the fumes made us crazy.
These out takes demonstrate how much work went into a song. Every song could have been played a thousand different ways and the genius was that they eventually crafted the best rendition that no artist can improve upon. Their songs stand as monumental works of art. People say, that Paul does a great job at concerts today but I just can't bring myself to go see him because I know his voice is gone.
Instant art. Genius. Seeing John, and knowing some low life creep would assassinate John and deprive us all of of such an irreplaceable talent, is infuriating times a million.
Ken K the only thing that makes me feel slightly better is knowing that shitrat is still in Prison and all indications are he will never, ever get parole.
daddy doodoo A comfortable jail cell too good for the low life bastard creep that deprived us all of John's irreplaceable spirit, talent, and worldwide influence. Give us all 15 minutes with him hurling rocks, and attacking the prick with pliers and blow torches
When bands are in the process of making a song that ends up being a classic like Hey Jude, they have no idea. It's just another song. It might be cooler than the rest or there might be something different about it, but it's just another song. Also, by this point, they had been a band for about 10 years, so it's understandable that the recording process would lose the magic.
They knew they liked it, that it was very original, at least something to compete with other bands like the rolling stones. They kind of knew, but it got really big, like really BIG.
I was in 10th grade when this hit the airways. Stayed #1 for a long time, several months I think. By the time I was a senior, the Beatles were done. I bought the Abbey Road album for $2.50 and wore it out. Then later, saw the movie "Let it Be". Lived with their music from "She Loves You" to "Penny Lane" to "Sgt Peppers" and everything in between. It was a time of nickel bags, $20 ounces of Panama Red and psychedelics, black light posters and head shops; American flag rolling papers, Orange Sunshine & Purple Haze. Bell bottoms and hip huggers. No cell phones, no racism, just hating & protesting the Vietnam War.
I love how you see the smiles on their faces when it’s clear they know what a hit they have on their hands. this backstage, studio footage is priceless.
Looking back and seeing something like this is so eerie. You know how it all ends with the band breaking up and the voids that formed between all of them in the end. You know that those voids began opening during the time Hey Jude was written and seeing John and George still alive is such a strange thing.
So way back in 1968 when this song first came out, we were blown away by it being a six minute number. Pulled up to a red light and stayed right there through green and back and green again😝 causing a scene. Even then people didn’t have much of a sense of humor.
so is anybody not talking about how george manages to be so cute in the control room? or how cute ringo and john singing in the background? or how cute paul plays the piano? or how cute they really are????
Although music is subjective, I'd argue there's still bands and artists making good music now. Just because the particular music that you happen to like isn't being made as much now doesn't mean that modern music has "0% talent"
Paul has such a pleasant voice. This song makes me think of why Ringo was so good. He didn’t attempt to take over the song. He plays for the overall sound.
Wow, when John said to Paul that he "felt closer to it", (being that it was almost the final version) I can hear the admiration in his voice for Paul and his talent as a songwriter. Despite their feud in the end, they truly respected each other's creativity with admiration and respect.
I'm very imaginative, so much that I could picture myself sitting in a chair in the room with them, listening to them sing and play. Too bad I'm just imagining things. If I had a time machine, and I could stay in any year as long as I wanted for, I only had one trip, One there and back, just one, I'd pick this room right here, this studio with them. Either this or beside the stage they played on in 1964 or 1965.
George in the control booth because Macca didn't want the lead guitar intros after every verse...so during rehearsal...George who digs the song just watches slyly...I love it!!
Harrison's smile and happiness around thee third minute is so touching (like: "o shit this is so good" or "oh shit he made it - that difficult part" or "holy fuck Macca!")
or that beautiful moment when Ringo starts singing "nana nana" around 3:15 Pure happiness of life this video helped me so much to get my mood right, jesus - thank you ervbefel nareik!
This is a great version of Hey Jude! Even my mother loved this song and she didn’t follow Rock n Roll. A Huge Hit at 6 minutes long. I’m glad that Joko was covering her face in this footage. It’s always good to Not see her. I wish there was more footage of the Beatles in the Studio. Their songs are so polished it’s hard to believe they had to rehearse.
Such a classic from the boys who changed how we looked at music...they weren't just songs anymore...they became our family...they became part of our existence..and the world seemed hopefull again..
Stunning, so incredible! I cannot believe I never came across this before. I thought I'd seen all the recorded performances by the band; this was like opening a wonderful gift on Christmas morning.

Hey, Jude, don't make it bad
Take a sad song and make it better
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better
Hey, Jude, don't be afraid
You were made to go out and get her
The minute you let her under your skin
Then you begin to make it better
And anytime you feel the pain,
Hey, Jude, refrain
Don't carry the world upon your shoulders
For well you know that it's a fool
Who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder
Nah, nah nah, nah nah, nah nah, nah nah
Hey, Jude, don't let me down
You have found her, now go and get her
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better
So let it out and let it in,
Hey, Jude, begin
You're waiting for someone to perform with
And don't you know that it's just you,
Hey, Jude, you'll do
The movement you need is on your shoulder
Nah, nah nah, nah nah, nah nah, nah nah yeah
Hey, Jude, don't make it bad
Take a sad song and make it better
Remember to let her under your skin
Then you'll begin to make it better, better, better, better, better... oh!
Nah, nah nah, nah nah, nah, nah, nah nah,
Hey, Jude
Nah, nah nah, nah nah, nah, nah, nah nah,
Hey, Jude
Nah, nah nah, nah nah, nah, nah, nah nah,
Hey, Jude (Jude)
Nah, nah nah, nah nah, nah, nah, nah nah,
Hey, Jude (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Nah, nah nah, nah nah, nah, nah, nah nah,
Hey, Jude
Nah, nah nah, nah nah, nah, nah, nah nah,
Hey, Jude (don't make it bad, Jude)
Nah, nah nah, nah nah, nah, nah, nah nah,
Hey, Jude (take a sad song and make it better)
Nah, nah nah, nah nah, nah, nah, nah nah,
Hey, Jude (oh, Jude)
Nah, nah nah, nah nah, nah, nah, nah nah,
Hey, Jude (Jude, hey, Jude, whoa)
Nah, nah nah, nah nah, nah, nah, nah nah,
Hey, Jude
Nah, nah nah, nah nah, nah, nah, nah nah,
Hey, Jude (ooh)
Nah, nah nah, nah nah, nah, nah, nah nah,
Hey, Jude
Nah, nah nah, nah nah, nah, nah, nah nah,
Hey, Jude
Nah, nah nah, nah nah, nah, nah, nah nah,
Hey, Jude
Nah, nah nah, nah nah, nah, nah, nah nah,
Hey, Jude
Nah, nah nah, nah nah, nah, nah, nah nah,
Hey, Jude
They are just ridiculously great. Can't find enough words. They're not human. Wow.
Well they are human - just superhuman.
The greatest songwriters.
5:28 Ringo’s flustered face after John says to “take them off” gets me everytime
Immediately says take them up too
I just come back here to rewatch this every now and then. It's just beautiful, you can really feel them grooving. Just a general happy vibe
Love them all together because they were so tight, so in tune with each other, like major league athletes, each doing their part to bring it home. Even though they were brilliant individually, together they were magic.
char west they were close, but at the time of this recording they weren’t the biggest fans of each other. They didn’t reconcile until like the mid 70s
By the way, I swear that I can hear a Ringo drum roll at 1.44, and he himself said that he is incapable of doing a drum roll.
that wasn't a drum roll unfortunately, just a quick few single strokes on the snare :)
I remember buying the single in 1968. It's so cool to hear the alt. takes. Thank you!
I was spray painting a car in a small garage and the fumes were heavy. The this song came on the little transistor radio we had. My partner and I sang at the top of our lungs as the fumes made us crazy.
*Ringo:* “I keep gettin’ me trousers caught on the peda-“
*John:* “tAkE ‘eM oFf.”
Note the tea towels on Ringo's drums, that's why this song is so awesome
I came across this by accident. A beautiful performance. Loved this. Thank heavens someone decided to film it. PC. 26. 07. 2018.
Ken K the only thing that makes me feel slightly better is knowing that shitrat is still in Prison and all indications are he will never, ever get parole.
daddy doodoo
A comfortable jail cell too good for the low life bastard creep that deprived us all of John's irreplaceable spirit, talent, and worldwide influence.
Give us all 15 minutes with him hurling rocks, and attacking the prick with pliers and blow torches
No auto tune! That’s talent you rarely see anymore!
The early takes make it seem like no one in the band really thought this song was anything special. Do you think they knew?
M Rodgers They were just having fun, at this point the song is more like a rehearsal. They did a remake at Trident the next day.
they always knew
When bands are in the process of making a song that ends up being a classic like Hey Jude, they have no idea. It's just another song. It might be cooler than the rest or there might be something different about it, but it's just another song. Also, by this point, they had been a band for about 10 years, so it's understandable that the recording process would lose the magic.
They knew they liked it, that it was very original, at least something to compete with other bands like the rolling stones. They kind of knew, but it got really big, like really BIG.
I read that John knew it instantly the first time Paul played it for him.
One of ma top five times of all time .they were truly the best band ever every song was on every album were great no fillers
この様なレアテイクをフルコーラスで、しかもカラー映像で拝めるとは…!!本当に奇跡のフィルムとしか言い様がないです!!
upして頂けた事に感激100%です(^^)
Another of the best songs ever written! Brilliant Beatles at work.
I love how you see the smiles on their faces when it’s clear they know what a hit they have on their hands. this backstage, studio footage is priceless.
for me this take is the most excellent Hey Jude
Just the three of them and here they sing and play some of the best music ever. What an awesome video. So much love in that studio.
3:01 GEORGE’S LITTLE SMILE HE’S SO PLEASED
Looking back and seeing something like this is so eerie. You know how it all ends with the band breaking up and the voids that formed between all of them in the end. You know that those voids began opening during the time Hey Jude was written and seeing John and George still alive is such a strange thing.
These guys will always have a special spot in my heart..most especially you Paul.
Could never tire of these 4 Liverpudlians. This is such a pleasure to see. Thank you!
The thing about the Beatles is they sound better simply tuning their guitars than many of the artists today singing.
Dallas Brubaker no, they don’t. There’s still good music being made now
LOL, good one; I love a great joke.
George Davidson, all the good music died in the 90s and was replaced with Music with 0% talent unlike before
Although music is subjective, I'd argue there's still bands and artists making good music now. Just because the particular music that you happen to like isn't being made as much now doesn't mean that modern music has "0% talent"
George Davidson, all the music today rely too much on Autotune and copying the musical structure of other songs rather than True Talent and Creativity
Paul has such a pleasant voice. This song makes me think of why Ringo was so good. He didn’t attempt to take over the song. He plays for the overall sound.
Brilliant! Thanks for sharing this. Could watch this everyday. I remember buying this single, it was 55 cents.
My mother gave me and my sister a dollar,....we both went to the record store that day,....and later learned we'd bought the same record....this one.
Genius in the work. A masterpiece in the making. This video made me more happy than I expected
最高です。こんなバージョンも、あるんですね?ありがとうございました。
Wow, when John said to Paul that he "felt closer to it", (being that it was almost the final version) I can hear the admiration in his voice for Paul and his talent as a songwriter. Despite their feud in the end, they truly respected each other's creativity with admiration and respect.
The best band of the all times
I'm very imaginative, so much that I could picture myself sitting in a chair in the room with them, listening to them sing and play. Too bad I'm just imagining things. If I had a time machine, and I could stay in any year as long as I wanted for, I only had one trip, One there and back, just one, I'd pick this room right here, this studio with them. Either this or beside the stage they played on in 1964 or 1965.
How awesome to watch history actually recorded.
I love how into it George was in the booth at the end.
they all look so happy Im crying
U still crying?
George in the control booth because Macca didn't want the lead guitar intros after every verse...so during rehearsal...George who digs the song just watches slyly...I love it!!
'I keep gettin' me trousers caught in me pedal' 'Take 'em off!' Love George's smile at 3:01. And Ringo's shirt? Mr. Fish of Carnaby Street.
Pirate shirt from Sienfield😁
Harrison's smile and happiness around thee third minute is so touching (like: "o shit this is so good" or "oh shit he made it - that difficult part" or "holy fuck Macca!")
or that beautiful moment when Ringo starts singing "nana nana" around 3:15
Pure happiness of life
this video helped me so much to get my mood right, jesus - thank you ervbefel nareik!
Fun Fact the piano which played by Paul is the same exact piano which Queen Frontman Freddie Mercury played to make Bohemian Rhapsody
Accient Weeb no....
@@s550danny someone didn't research
Idk but it is on the live performance version?
This isn't even at Abbey Road. It was recorded at Trident.
Accient Weeb no it isn’t
This is a great version of Hey Jude! Even my mother loved this song and she didn’t follow Rock n Roll.
A Huge Hit at 6 minutes long. I’m glad that Joko was covering her face in this footage. It’s always good to Not see her.
I wish there was more footage of the Beatles in the Studio. Their songs are so polished it’s hard to believe they had to rehearse.
So thankful that more and more archived videos are coming out. Thank you

Nobody:
Not a single soul:
John: *bOoGie wOoGiE*
Stunning, so incredible! I cannot believe I never came across this before. I thought I'd seen all the recorded performances by the band; this was like opening a wonderful gift on Christmas morning.
I love beattles !
amazing video. even through all the bullshit they were going through as a band during 1968 it's nice to see them all come together (even George in the control booth) during the na na na na part
