Absolutely thee BEST band. They were very talented indeed. Song writers, musicians, entertainers, artists etc.... no other group will ever measure up to these talented artists... EVER.
Mrs Bee, play with Words, but the Bee Gees or the Brothers Gibb were also big song writers. Consider that they start writing songs during their child hood, 1963 when Robin and Maurice was in the age of 14 and Barry 16/17. They wrote the last songs together in 2001 before Maurice died in 2003. A period of writing of nearly 40 years. In addition the brothers wrote songs for a lot of other artist, from Marmalade to Diana Ross, Dolly Parton and others. This will not downgrade the Beatles and their success, but they are not the "best" alone.
It is an interesting comparison to make between The Beatles and The Bee Gees. I saw The Beatles at their Brisbane concert in 1964 and can remember seeing The Bee Gees on the local TV station when they were kids. As far as “who was better” The Beatles concerts in that year have no comparison. As far as contribution to music I would give it to The Bees Gees. We are only now beginning to realise the immense contribution to music that they have made over those 40 years. They are in a class all on their own.
This was the first concert with Ringo, after he rejoined the band in Melbourne after he had become hospitalised with tonsillitis. On the way to Australia, they started their 'world tour' in Copenhagen, Denmark. The concert there was played live on TV for the whole country of Denmark, perhaps the first time The Beatles appeared live on TV anywhere and my father was the recording engineer. True story and not a UA-cam lie. I was twelve and watched it on TV.
@@damienlott - My father worked for "DR" (Denmark Radio)which was established around 1925 with radio broadcasts and also in 1956 with the advent of TV, yet it was still called "DR" and now included TV. They now hired a bunch of young WizKids to staff the TV side and my father was hired about the age of 23. He was eventually made the superintendent of Dubbing, which is the audio side of TV. He also made some movies around this time as recording engineer and recorded a number of famous acts that came to Denmark. When The Beatles did that one-off concert in 1964, my father was basically in charge of the audio side. In terms of quality, let's be blunt about it, the sound simply had to be captured for the audio and TV, not great really and nothing to be proud about. But it was quite an event. In 1965 we immigrated to Australia and while my Dad went back and between 1967 and 1970 and went back and again worked for DR, here in Sydney he ended up working for ABC, the Australian equivalent to BBC and DR. He died prematurely at end of 1974. I wonder if I should reveal his name... Palle Kai Rasmu.... most would likely not have read to the end. ;) I take back any claim that this might have been the first time The Beatles was recorded to live TV. This had already been done in America on the Ed Sullivan Show a few months earlier and a much better job sound-wise, to be honest. The KB Hall was an atrocious place, KB being a football club with a hall that was used. Acoustics? What acoustics? :-( BTW Carlos, do you live in Denmark?
At 13:53 a fan came on stage to hug John Lennon and he just reached out and shook his hand like he wasn't one of the biggest celebrities in the world kkkkk The Beatles have always been down to earth with their success
@@roysigler4814 I was a big Stones fan, but after Jones died they mostly lost their way, apart from a few bright spots. Never listen to them, but the Beatles I do. If the Beatles had recorded as a group into the 70s, they would have been even bigger, if that is possible, with the quality and quantity of songs that came from the four.
The driving rhythm, the jangly guitars, the rock solid back beat, it can only be the greatest rock combo in the universe, it can only be ~ The Beatles! ~
This is one of their best concerts & nicely restored. From 1963 Yeah Yeahs to 1964 Hard Day's Night & now growing introspectively in their songs. Truly the greatest & all 'bands' created thus is from their template. A Joy.
So talented right from the start. The guitar interplay between Lennon and Harrison inventive and creative. Throw in the driving and inventive as well McCartney Bass and exquisite percussion from Ringo ... likely never to be repeated. Oh, and then the vocals ...
Wow!!! That was some amazing footage!! The most incredible band in the history of forever!!!!! Thank you SOOOOOOO much for sharing!!!!!!!!! ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️
Pure awesomeness. I have played professionally for decades and can't imagine playing without monitors of any kind and managing to sing in key with thousands of girls screaming... And super tight too. Love the 421 mics from Sennheiser used for vocals-- today they're usually relegated to tom toms...
@@johnmcgahern3946 Hmmm, I'd say they were pretty damn close for live. I think you'd be amazed at how most artists today lean heavily on pitch correction. Mostly in the studio but more and more live as well. And they have the benefit of in-ear monitoring and/or wedges too. The Beatles live had none of this kind of monitoring support and even had to sing significant distances apart (and still hit notes in sync and in key). Crazy.
I can't believe that they could come up with hit after hit. True genius. Every country they visited the fans went mad about them. Never be a group to match them. Thank God for the Beatles!
Life long fan. How they managed to play in these EARLY DAYS, keeping On Key without modern earpieces or feed back, amongst the shrieks and overwhelming screams, is simply the FIRST VIEW of their virtuosity ,lots of hard work, and total dedication to their craft. They were young men. And cranked that shit OUT! WOW!
I actually had a dog that is almost as old as the youngest Beatle, George. He (George...not the dog) happened to be 8 years older than me...and I remember as I delivered my newspapers at 5 AM (15-16 years old) thinking of this guy 24 years old.....my peers and I ..we KNEW we were seeing something never seen before. Then, in April of 1964 ( my start of my paper route) they held down the top 5 spots... The Beatles ( along with all the other groups and their ground-breaking music) were like a life raft, carrying us across the stormy seas of adolescence. Groups of us ( 5-10) would gather around a campfire, or in someone's basement...and listen, parse, interpret, and sing along. As the 60s rolled on, the music took a decided political turn, and then there was even MORE parsing and interpreting. Suddenly, a gradual drift of music that you absolutely MUST listen to. You HAD to pay attention to the words. Yes....sudden..and gradual. It was a time where the kids were scratching their heads as much as the adults. Just for different reasons. This seemed to me to be the birth of the concept that in America...dissent WAS the MOST Patriotic thing you could do. I find it astonishing that for the most part, todays youth is squarely in the corner of the Deep State, the Establishment, the Warmongers, the Government Over-reach..anticipating the next trampling of our God-given rights by these tyrants. Frame-jobs, election theft, UnConstitutional mandates that leave todays kids so sad these lawless laws have been ruled...well, lawless. I feel shame to my core of being because it is MY offspring, and MY grandchildren who have abandoned the principles of self-rule, local power, Constitutional guarantees, and the simple Constitutional mandate that, should something NOT be specifically mentioned as a power of the Federal Government, it was, and always was, a power of the individual state. That silly Congressman threatening to destroy the filibuster, destroy the SCOTUS if they don't get their way.... which is the destruction of the 2nd amendment. These people aren't nutty, or insane, or loopy. No, my friends...I really am sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this is exactly what they(Democrats) WANT!. This is their plan..has been for the last few decades. They have been planning, plotting and implementing the total destruction of the America we know and love. So far we have been compliccit, and at times , willing supporters of this arson of the Constitution. Love you my Patriots.
Помню в ранней юности мы ими заслушивались. Их голоса раздавались из динамиков бобинных магнитофонов... Это было нечто необычное. При том, что нам было неведомо, как они выглядят!

Thank you sir for uploading this fantastic live footage, I fell in love with music through the Beatles. After all these years I can still feel the power of their music resonate in me!
Great upload, thanks! Wonderful to hear them in the early exuberance and joy in their creativity. The greatest band ever performing note-perfect on ancient equipment in front of screaming fans.
If someone asks me to define Bealtlemanis - this is the defining video. Everything that was before and is to come of June 1964. This is by far the best recording to capture that time and the element of the culture. I just emphatically think that this is the best to define a generation, a movement, and a sound.
Not in million years something like The Beales will be again! The wat they sound live is unbelievable. With all the tech today they can't sound like the Fab4 and send the emotions like they did! I just can;t get enough listening them.
This is a great board mix! You can really catch the subtleties in their playing .Live, these young men were way on top of their game and it’s amazing to think how quickly they matured and altered the sonic landscape of western pop music on vinyl. Awesome footage but modern me really wishing the camera director had given us more angles of guitar strumming and other hand movements. They were great individual musicians as much as they were a great band.
Awesome sound quality here - it really is mind-blowing how good these guys were playing live, and still amazes me to this day. Not sure we will ever see anything like this again. I can honestly see why Macca wanted them to get back to basics (circa 1969) and start touring again (albeit in smaller venues), unfortunately the other were not feeling it. The energy they have between them is unreal, and it shows here. Great video.

As far as “who was better” The Beatles concerts in that year have no comparison. As far as contribution to music I would give it to The Bees Gees. We are only now beginning to realise the immense contribution to music that they have made over those 40 years. They are in a class all on their own.
But it is nothing short of simply amazing its timeless priceless and forever the beatles will rule
Мне 70 лет Битлз любовь всей моей жизни
This was the first concert with Ringo, after he rejoined the band in Melbourne after he had become hospitalised with tonsillitis. On the way to Australia, they started their 'world tour' in Copenhagen, Denmark. The concert there was played live on TV for the whole country of Denmark, perhaps the first time The Beatles appeared live on TV anywhere and my father was the recording engineer. True story and not a UA-cam lie. I was twelve and watched it on TV.
Great story. Thanks. I would like to know more! What was your father's job?
Palle Kai Rasmu.... most would likely not have read to the end. ;)
I take back any claim that this might have been the first time The Beatles was recorded to live TV. This had already been done in America on the Ed Sullivan Show a few months earlier and a much better job sound-wise, to be honest. The KB Hall was an atrocious place, KB being a football club with a hall that was used. Acoustics? What acoustics? :-(
BTW Carlos, do you live in Denmark?
@@D800Lover very cool
I love how George pulls up his lips to his right side when he sings. I adore it
I had never noticed that before.
At 13:53 a fan came on stage to hug John Lennon and he just reached out and shook his hand like he wasn't one of the biggest celebrities in the world kkkkk The Beatles have always been down to earth with their success
True enough, but it kinda wrecked the end of maybe the best version they ever did of Long Tall Sally..

Un gran concierto, me gustan las voces armoniosas, prinicipalmente John Lennon
I would be horrified if this person was a thug. I feel like the security of the staff is lax.
On their prime age and full of energy. They write songs, play instruments and sing very well, what more can you ask for?
What can ya 'say, huh!!! The very best has just been played!!!!! That's why!!
Harrison singing on all my loving - priceless!
So Lennon could focus on all those triplets in the rhythm guitar.
George and Paul sounded very good together.
No wonder the Beatles sent the world nuts , I'd almost forgotten how brilliant they were
Brilliant, Brilliant, Brilliant
THEY WERE GOOD UNTIL THEY CAME UP WITH YELLOW SUBMARINE AFTER THAT THEY LOST ME AND THE STONES BECAME MY FAVORITE

I was a big Stones fan, but after Jones died they mostly lost their way, apart from a few bright spots.
Not even close!
They are so great it doesn't even seem real.
We all take them for granted cuz of how good they was , simply the Greatest and never will be touched
Манкес тоже неплохие Кстати учителя Битлз
This is one of their best concerts & nicely restored. From 1963 Yeah Yeahs to 1964 Hard Day's Night & now growing introspectively in their songs. Truly the greatest & all 'bands' created thus is from their template. A Joy.
No word to praise. I love this band from my school days.
Come on people...these guys..did a revolution in music...saludos
Базара нет Так и есть
So talented right from the start. The guitar interplay between Lennon and Harrison inventive and creative. Throw in the driving and inventive as well McCartney Bass and exquisite percussion from Ringo ... likely never to be repeated. Oh, and then the vocals ...

The best Band during my teenage sound trip mga Idol the Beatles
Notice everytime, they would finish singing a song and would bow down. Pure gentlemen!
Me too, I love all four ones so much because of that as another reason
That's Brian Epstein's idea
that's absolutely incredible!! They created like almost 200 different melodies, all absolutely catchy and recognizable. Who else? Not even close

Very well put. No other bands come close.
Wow!!! That was some amazing footage!! The most incredible band in the history of forever!!!!! Thank you SOOOOOOO much for sharing!!!!!!!!! ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️
NAO HOUVE E NEM HAVERA BANDA COMO THE BEATLES. LEMBRO DA MINHA ADOLESCENCIA, QUE SAUDADE.
Pure awesomeness. I have played professionally for decades and can't imagine playing without monitors of any kind and managing to sing in key with thousands of girls screaming... And super tight too. Love the 421 mics from Sennheiser used for vocals-- today they're usually relegated to tom toms...
What instrument do you play professionally?
@@lewis9729 Guitar and sing. It's just a cover band (and definitely have some Beatles in the setlist!) in Southern California.
@@yikesboy13 Ah, very nice
But that's just it though, half the time they're flat.
Crazy.
13:52 John holds his hand out to shake the stage crasher’s hand. The guy was really happy to meet John. He was more lucky than he ever knew.
It was my high school days when i heard the beatles awesome n enjoyable moments..love it
Meu vício:
Ouvir Beatles todos os dias!!!
Such a beautiful songs♥️♥️♥️
They credited their ability to do all that to the fact they played venues like the Cavern where noise was part of the culture.
Помню в ранней юности мы ими заслушивались. Их голоса раздавались из динамиков бобинных магнитофонов... Это было нечто необычное. При том, что нам было неведомо, как они выглядят!
Как же хороши эти ребята! Лучшие!

Rehearse until your blisters bleed, and your band can play like this
Or just have talent.

Yep - they switch camera to.....the drummer!... during guitar breaks!
@ghost mall I believe it was their nightly, 8- hr. residencies in Hamburg as well as their time in Liverpool during the Cavern days.
It is very rare to find videos which are more than fifty years old but have more than 1 million views. The is the true power of the Beatles!
That these particular four people got together the way they did is miraculous.
It's a miracle and it was meant to be it is part of History
George did an outstanding job on "Til There Was You"
60 years ago we know they are a great band.....(they are better than we thought)
The Beatles espetacular, sensacional. The Beatles para sempre!!!!!!
