I agree with the conclusion in this video, well done Tall. I went from a 2013 to a 2020 and now have the 2024 with 1500 miles on it. You're right, this is the future and a gigantic leap ahead in too many ways to quickly list. No one will be unhappy with a 2015-23, but 24 and up has changed the game.
I Dig the 2023 front Fairing more. That wrap around headlight is gonna have to grow on me...
Coming from the perspective of a working class/retired on a fixed income...Most Guys can only have 1 motorcycle...and if you already have a M8 that your still making strokes...Keep it i say...But if you dont have an M8 and your looking buy a Brand new motorcycle....By all means get a 2024 RG or SG....But dont trade up a 2023 for a 2024 money wise its not a wise move...

I’ve got a 2023 road glide special. First thing I did was change out the bars in the grips course went to a stubby antenna. Did the windshield. The thing like the best that I did is the jumper and the CarPlay2 air it makes Apple CarPlay a wonderful thing.
I got the 2024 road glide onyx pearl this thing is a beast just wait until add some mods
I think it's official...you switched over to the shark nose club and forgot about the batwing. you now have 2 of them and the batwing feels out numbered in the garage!

Tall, I'm a Marine stationed in Jacksonville, NC. I ride a 2018 CVO SG gunship grey with a custom built 131. I prefer the rushmore fairing on the SG more than the new one, but i like the new RG fairing better than the rushmore. Time will tell on the vvt motors and all the new electronics in the 24s. I will not even consider one for several years, which works because there is no way i would ever pay new prices lol. Take care and i appreciate you!

I absolutely love all Harleys but really can appreciate how much work they finally put into all of the development of the new machine. Everything new takes getting use to. I would take one in a heartbeat. I think it's amazing.

Morning Tall, I'm from Urbana, Illinois and I ride a 2020 Road Glide with the 107 that has the stage 2 kit!! Absolutely love my 2020 my local Harley Shop has tried to get me to trade my bike in on the 24 while there is things I like about the 24 they're just not enough to make trade!!

Great job! With respect to the seat from a 23 onto a 24, there is a UA-cam video on how to fix this by widening the slot in the seat to fit the tab on the new bikes which is wider by about 1/2 inch or so. The frame on the new bike’s are the same so no problem with mounting screw. Yeaaa saved some $$$

“I love this seat”, said no one ever about a stock Harley seat. And that was the first thing I took notice about the ‘24 Road Glide! I said it too! And I was struck by the dis-belief I experienced in thinking it and saying it. 😮 I am even Ok with the fit too because I am not 7’ feet tall 😂

Great job on this video, I agree with all of your comments about both bikes. The 23 is a beautiful machine, time tested and true. The 24 is even more, and represents the future.
As someone who rides a 2014 with the 103, I would take either of them!

hello Tall great video, your opinion matters to me. Since you asked our opinions, I have a 23 RG my first bagger and will be keeping it for a few years as I don’t really need the extra power and trust the 107. I also have a 22 fat bob 114 that I commute on and ride solo to decompress from everyday stress.

Hello Tall from Memphis. While watching your video you mentioned something about a wire behind the air breather on the ‘23 RG. If the connection gets wet it could cause issues. What wire are you referring to?

Excellent video Sir! I'm tall as well and from I'm from Indiana. I came from a 2018 Road Glide Special and went to a 2024 Road Glide just like yours. The 2018 doesn't compare to the 2024. I still love the looks of the Rushmore Harley's but man these new models have really grown on me. I personally do miss the stretched saddle bag look myself. But that 117 with Thunderheader slip ons in custom ride mode sounds so good.

As a new rider, i want the big bikes like this and street glide, but i think if i start out on a smaller bike like the new Scout 101 or sport scout, i think it would be easier for me to get than hang of riding. To help save your Jordans from getting scuffed up Harley makes a floor board spacer kit that moves your feet out from the engine. I found it also adds a little bit more comfort having my feet further away from the heat.

Hey Tall, you do these side by sides very well. Super enjoyable. I just bought the 24 and looking at your 23 is inspiring. How does increasing the diameter of the front wheel change the handling? As for your other thoughts, 24’s clean look - yes, Harley obviously focused on it and its a win, short bags - yes and win even though they are bigger they look sleek, chopped front fender - love it, small front wheel - not so much, liquid cooling - yes!, new screen - nailed it, ride modes and riding nannies - yes harley needed to catch up. My advice, don’t ride the 24 RG if you can’t buy one. 😮

Am wondering if the new street glides/road glides have the safety feature where you can't put in a destination while riding.
They do make a shorter windshield one with a flip up for the 2024 tall.

Sure there is a solution for your seat issue. It is a Corbin gunfighter and lady seat. I put one on my 2023 road glide cvo in late March and love it.
For reference, I had a LePera maverick daddy longlegs with backrest on my 2023 road glide st fast johnnie. I prefer the Corbin gunfighter and lady with backrest over the LePera
C&Cmotorcycle seats in Paramount, CA will build a custom seat for the 2024s and cut it back a couple of inches for you tall riders.

I heard the khromewerks 2into2 the exact one on your 23 will fit your 24. It will clear the vvt cam cover

ABS and Navi cost extra on the 2023 base model. I think they came standard on the Special.

enjoy what you currently have. most of us don’t have the finances to buy the latest and greatest. personally i have a 2014 limited; 103ci high output and my prefer type of riding is travel, 2up, and extra luggage space. she still moves with plenty of extra power. but, if i had the finances….road glide cvo/st
Hey Tall. Saddleman makes a road sofa extended. Pushes you back 2 inches and not fluffy. Just got mine. Tall like you and I’m all stretched out. Ride safe brother.

Great video Tall. I had a 19 CVO Road Glide and just got a Black on chrome 24 Road Glide. To me its night and day better. With the ride mods, screen, 117 and suspension. I don't want to get off of this thing.. lol!! I too am looking to change the seat, and when thats done this thing will eat up miles!! 🫡🤘 For me, Best trade up!

I guarantee you take that top triple clamp off lift the bars up and smack that anti roll pin down and then you can adjust however you need.
New road glide must have made quite an impression. Most you guys that went out to Las Vegas bought one.

Tall I have yet to see a bad review of the 24s. I ride a road glide limited, and that model is unchanged for 24. Makes it easy for me not to upgrade. Maybe next year they will upgrade the limited.

I heard that harley davidson doesnt work on bikes that are 10 years and older so whats going to happen once these all digital bikes pass the 10 year mark and your bike needs a system update? They're just not going to work on it forcing people to buy new bikes every 10 years?
My local HD dealer will work on bikes older than ten years.
@@TravelingTallwow, that's crazy if some dealers won't work on the older bikes. That is a huge red flag, if a local dealer says that. That would push me straight to the competition if I'm in the market. As I have never heard any bad things about Indian customer service since I've been researching over the past couple years.
I don't know what state you live in sir I live in colorado and greeley harley davidson and thunder mountain harley davidson in loveland colorado won't work on harleys over 10 years old.

I’ll tell you what all the technology aside there’s no way the new bike looks anywhere near as good as the old bike and here’s why.
The new squared off low profile fuel tank has taken away all the beautiful curves of the old bike and without question it looks dreadful with the new much bulkier looking front end. It looks even more like you’re pushing a shopping cart in frontof you. . The new bag lids are just shockingly flimsy and no way they’re gonna last as long as the other ones.. next you’ve got a squared off low profile fuel tank with a big fat bulbus new shaped saddlebags absolutely no design continuity. Squared off tank,rounded out bags? And those new bags just look too small for the overall bike because of the front end just overwhelms the bike. It’s all out of proportion There’s no flowing lines like on the old bike. Stand to the side and have a look at the side profile of the new bike. It’s so front end heavy! The bike looks positively small compared to the old bike. It has no street presence at all so many design contradictions on this new bike. It’s totally out of proportion. It’s like a small bike with an massively oversized front end. It’s not good .The speaker grills and the way they integrate in the new cockpit is horrible. Looks cheap. I could go on, but I have to tell you the overall flow and the integration of design on the new bike is a Dogs Dinner. If you asked anybody who’s not Harley fan just aesthetically which looks the nicest bike. They would definitely say the old one and they would say the Street glide. Sorry Guys that front now looks more like you’re wheeling a barrow in front of you.I’m gonna pass.
