Hi there! I do like to do vids like this once in a while, when I get the chance. Dragons and damsels are great to watch though, aren't they? 😃 All the best and see you soon 👍🙂
Wonderful aren't they? A lot of the time, you get no luck at all with them staying still for long enough, but that day they were quite cooperative! Cheers for watching. All the best 👍🙂
hello des you did an outstanding job capturing the beauty of the wildlife. The damselflies dragonflies were so beautiful, great music and bird sounds too.
Thanks Nicole! I do love trying to get footage like this when the critters cooperate! 😁 It was a fun couple of hours. Many thanks for watching and see you soon👍😊
Cheers Chris!👍 Yes, I love them too. I only had the little compact camera with me, and the dragonflies were being rather uncooperative, but still had an enjoyable hour or two! All the best and take care 👍😊
Hello, dear Des!! What a delightful video! Different from usual, but really nice! Amazing captures of these amazing creatures! Bit easy at all....Hugs and enjoy your Summer weekend, my friend and see you soon! Renata
Thanks very much, Renata! I do love making videos like this once in a while. They are such fascinating and colourful creatures! We had a great weekend, but not great weather, thanks 😁 Hope you had a lovely weekend too! All the best and catch you soon!👍😊
Noswaith dda Des, this was really lovely and like watching a nature programme. It's such a gorgeous place and I loved your beautiful footage of the damselflies, love the blue ones, and the broad bodied chaser dragonfly was lovely. So relaxing to watch:) ~ Anna 👍
Noswaith dda, Anna! Thanks very much👍😁 It was a beautiful place, and great fun trying to get the video. The chaser it was a real struggle to get the camera to focus, but really happy with the beautiful demoiselles! Thanks so much for watching! Hwyl!👍😊
Hi Des, these damselflies are amazing 😀I saw loads of blue damselflies myself when I was visiting a National Trust in Somerset property last week. Beautiful looking things. Thanks for sharing 👍
Hi Patrick. Wonderful aren't they? They can be so frustrating to try and film though! 😂 Some days just never seem to land! Not sure if it was the strong breeze or something else, but I got lucky this day! 👍😊
How great is that, Des. You really captured some pretty wonderful footage there! We have both the Damsel and Dragon, but I think more of the Dragon variety. Always fascinated by the iridescent colours...amazing! Take good care now and enjoy the rest of the week. Bruce and Otis
Thanks Bruce, much appreciated! 🙂 There were a few dragons about, but they wouldn't pose for the camera! I'm a sucker for watching both though. Something kind of prehistoric about them! Thanks for for watching, and wish Otis a happy birthday for me (think I saw a pic of his birthday dinner) 👍🙂🎂
Beautiful location Des, and really pretty Damselflies! What a fun place for camping and great filming. It’s very challenging to have a small subject, and ones that are very mobile! I really enjoyed their colors and especially the iridescent blue in the last one. I’m not very familiar with dragonflies or damselflies- very nice to see them up close! Wonderful nature! 🙌🙌👍👍
Hi Jennifer. Aren't they wonderful? 😁 I only had my compact camera, so getting it to focus properly was a challenge, but luckily there were plenty of damselflies about! Four minutes of reasonable footage, and about two hours worth in the recycle bin! 😂 All the best and catch you soon👍😊
Sorry for not noticing the uploads des. I can see and feel how fascinating the Damselflies are to you. They are exquisite I'd say and so beautiful as they dance upon the waters. I love to see them. Nice capture mate. All the best as always. Mark
Cheers David!👍 I guess their cycle is a few weeks later up your way? I got lucky on this weekend, as the little lake and stream was alive with damslflies! A few dragons, but not many.
Ah this is wonderful Des. I was trying to take photos of Damselflies yesterday and failing miserably! Especially the Damoiselle, they just don’t stop moving! Beautiful captures mate. 😍
Cheers Dave! 👍 It was quite a breezy day, so the damsels seemed to be landing a lot, and there were also plenty about. Dragonflies weren't playing ball at all though! 😂 Hope all is well with you and Sue. Catch you soon👍
That was very enjoyable Des.........I know by experience its really difficult to film dragonflies its hard enough to photograph them. Was hoping to get some while at the Lake-district but that 6week hot spell over there before I went seemed to have confused them into thinking it was later in the year and I seen very few compared to previous years. Lovely ''sights and sounds'' video.............ATB........Stu...
Cheers Stu! Not sure if it was the breezy day, or a lot of mating pairs, but the damselflies were a lot easier to film than usual. Not many dragonflies about, and most weren't landing apart from a brief shot of that chaser! All the best & thanks for watching👍👍
Looked an idyllic spot and we were at a similar place with out 3 year old grandson last week and that was wick with them, never seen so many and he thought they were brilliant. Yu did a better job filming them than I did, I ended up deleting my footage lol, cheers Alan
Hi Alan. I've been fascinated by dragonflies and damselflies since I was a kid too, so you may have started something with your grandson! 😅 They can be tricky to catch on camera, but on that day plenty seemed to be landing for just about long enough. By the way, I dropped you a message on Instagram, not sure if you saw it? Cheers for watching. Catch you soon 👍🙂
Absolutely stunning Des, thanks for sharing.
Cheers Chris👍 The footage didn't turn out too bad considering it was just a compact camera and had no tripod with me! Great fun to make too👍🙂
Beautiful how-to videos and cool natural scenery in a green open area. nice...👍🤗🙋🇮🇩
Thank you very much for watching! All the best👍😊
Really beautiful. So gracious 💛
Aren't the wonderful? 😁 So glad you enjoyed it👍😊
This is a different kind of video for you. We absolutely loved it. Bill and I both loved seeing these colorful insects.

Pretty cool. I always give dragonflies a second look when they are flying around.
Thanks Dave & Diane! I've always had a fascination with them since I was a kid 😁

O wow, they are amazingly carry different colors from purple, red, light blue, dark blue, yellowish, beautiful green at 3:09.

Thanks Mark. They do fascinate me, and it was great to get a day when they cooperated with the camera for a change! 👍😁
@@DesGreene A pleasure des. Yeah, I'm sure they do - I love to see them. Ha, they're like butterflies. There then gone.
Hi Des, lovely video. Not seen any yet this year, no damsels in distress and no Dragons.
Cheers David!👍 I guess their cycle is a few weeks later up your way? I got lucky on this weekend, as the little lake and stream was alive with damslflies! A few dragons, but not many.

@@DesGreene Mmmmm.....its surprising that the dragonflies are in short supply, must have something to do with that hot/dry spell in late May and June.
