'92 was a great, eventful yr for music. Lotsa highs, lotsa lows, lotsa controversies. When I saw Ministry I was utterly stunned. Became a fan from that day on.
I was there, rolling audio cassettes all day right behind the mosh in front of the soundboard area in the middle of all that. What a day! I have been working on a cleanup of a tape transfer of the Ministry set these last few weeks, spectrally editing the most aggressive crowd noise intrusions to attenuate all the screamers and talkers and the harshest clapping. It takes days and days to manually "photoshop the sound" like this, working on a few seconds of audio at a time, but the results are amazing! Will share soon... So, it was cool to see some of the same show filmed. I remember seeing some video cameras set up on the board scaffolding - I suppose some of this footage comes from what I saw up there... I must say, I came to Lollapalooza as a fan of some of the other bands on the bill that day, but I left as a Ministry fan! Not that any of the other bands were bad during the day, but after seeing Ministry turn it up to eleven and absolutely blow everyone else off the stage, I remember feeling really let down with RHCP after this. My tapes prove that the Chilis put on a fine show, but, after these guys, there was a real feeling of deflation in energy. No comparison. Ministry headlined Lolla92 - just nobody realized that was going on at the time... ;)
Dude...Supernaut live!!! OMG! I wish Paul would reunite with Uncle Al and bring some more variety back to Ministry. I mostly tuned out the last 20 years. :/
I tuned out after Rio Grande Blood. That album had a couple of good songs but they should've called it a day after Houses of the Molé (or even Animosity).
That being said, I saw them live in 2008 in Oslo and that was a great show, so it feels a bit contradicting to say that they should've disbanded earlier than that. But my point is that their studio efforts since the early/mid 2000's have been pretty uninteresting, and especially the last 4 albums are complete garbage.
My God, no wonder when I was 20 with long hair at this show people were asking me if I was in Ministry. MF looks like I'm watching myself! I never noticed that much at the time, but looking back, holy shit!!! P.S. It was so weird to hear Ice Cube say," Ya'll ready for Ministry?!?!" B/c his set was right before theirs. Then the Chili Peppers. Jesus built my hotrod then went into a Jesus Christ pose.
Uh well, we mock Jesus because we're moron musicians who think we're smart because we make a lot of noise and do drugs. But really we sold our souls to Satan for a crappy career in metal music and have to tour because we're in debt to the record label. But we can't admit it.
RIP WILLIAM RIEFLIN...
Bill was a chameleon. King Crimson, Ministry, REM, etc. Rest in Peace
True. Crimson and Ministry is really the only parallel.
RIP Bill Rieflin
I saw them on this tour. They did _not_ disappoint. Great show.

Their last 3 have been abysmal...especially lyrically.
Viva The Book Club.
the fucking bookclub...really..
@@813lynch well, what would Uncle Al's prime point be without them?
aw, I just am so proud of our generation, WE KNEW HOW TO SPEAK PROPERLY.
I know it looks like it abruptly ends but that is the full interview. It goes into a segment about the band Lush.
Gotta love Ministry.
Long live Al Jorgensen.
RIP WILLIAM RIEFLIN...
Wow! Amazing 😍
I was 18

Rip Bill
Take me back... .. ..
I saw this tour. Man Im old.

Anyone went to the Great woods show? That was just total chaotic bliss.
I was there! Been trying to find any photos or videos from that show. Got anything?
Miss the 90s

Saw them at Alpine Valley 92
Do you have the rest of this interview?
I assume Al was exercising, maybe eating some vegetables during this...

Yeah yeah, I looked like the Fonz in 76...
Wow. A real opinion.
Bill Rieflen is very well spoken. Paul has his moments but he's not the best public speaker in all honesty.
The fact that he can speak coherently makes him a LOSER.
Who cares man? His Bass talked for him
Honestly I got kinda the opposite impression but we all know public speaking skills aren't rubrics for inherent intellect
@@elizabethrubino9017 the fact you put my pecker in your mouth when I hadn't showered in two weeks makes you a gutter slu@
When Paul left the band there whole sound changed I like dark side of the spoon but filth pig was and 69 Were way better
fuckin book club..
Good thing too or no one would have ever heard of Bargain Bin Boy George workin' for love.
Paul barker comes off as a fool here
SICK
What a couple of HOMOSEXUALS!!!
Not!
Ruby Red because they’re intelligent and well read? Good to know there are still ignorant morons like you still around.
You sound like the expert.
What's wrong with a little dicking?

Adron Lamb oh god are you another one of those Jesus Christian hail god freaks😆 take the stick out of your ass and loosen up its music😂
And then there's you with nothing but bitching. Truly, the sign of a life well-lived.

OP; are you mad because in fact Jesus did NOT build YOUR hotrod? ...M'thinks you didn't prey hard enough.
