    About ten years ago, with very little experience listening to Ministry, Two friends and myself walked into a sold out Ministry show at hard rock in New Orleans practically blacked out, security was nowhere to be seen, pushed our way straight to the front, stayed in the pit for the whole show, limped home, words cannot describe what took place there.
    Thank You Al Jourgensen. One of my most cherished experiences.

    I was just the right age when Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste came out. Skateboarding, learning to play power chords, playing with drum machines, etc. Ministry was this creative expression and served as an extension of my imagination. I loved Mind, Paslm 69, and Filth Pig quite a lot. Lots of people didn't seem to like Filth Pig but I really loved it. Felt more honest and straightforward. Al doesn't have all the answers but he is paying attention to a large portion of the problem and gives that spirit to his music to help keep people thinking and not accepting everything on a surface level. For that his contribution to my own scrutiny and creative expression owes a debt. Thanks Al.

They put on a great show but were never in my top 10 and I resented all the media attention that was focused on them and Metallica.

    What a nice guy!! Round about 30 years ago I read in a calalogue i used to order CDs about a band that I didn't know at that time. There was written: "... the highest grade of musical brutality, the perfect soundtrack for your mutant comics...". I also didn't know, what "mutant comics" were, but I ordered "In Case You didn't feel like showing up" - and since then till this day I am a huge fan of Ministry (and Lard). Recently I read Al's Autobiography, which is really exciting, funny and sometimes deeply moving, the best book from/about a musician I've ever read. I wish him all the best and to stay healthy and awake he seems to be in this great interview.

    I’ve recently been digging Ministry. I remember rockin out to, “ NWO, “ when I was a teenager. As for the band, their sound and uniqueness is Awesome! By sound, the help to define pure metal. This being said, I typically ignore political commentary from “ celebrities. “ I’m definitely going to ignore this video, after only a minute into it. I’m 100% pro-America, and 100% against Fascism, as well as Socialism. 30 years ago, you wouldn’t have a person running for office of POTUS, under the label of Socialism. I’m not completing this video, and simply going to enjoy the music. I don’t need a celebrity to think for me.

    I came here after watching the Fix documentary, long version here on youtube, again. Saw it 10 years ago and it still amazes me how there are humans like Al that even though they take more than anybody and outlast all wars, they are still that creative and iconic. Like he said in the doc that William Burroughs and Timothy Leary were more of a dad then his dad. Some people are built to inspire and carry the clarity through all the haze and insanity.

      @@Ray_Koren Reading your name brought back one of my fondest memories. I fell in love with the most sensitive spirited gay Korean while living in Daegu Province. My grandmother, bless her heart, was half Korean. And she told me stories of her home town, Daegu, when I was a child. Born and raised in Finland, one can imagine how a child's imagination would bloom with vivid colors while listening to their grandmother speak of an exotic landscape free from freezing weather and having more colors than just blinding white snow. Telling you about the man I fell in love with is the subject, and he was and extraordinarily shy young man. To me, his shy quietness was a sign of our different cultures, and I wouldn't dream of making advances towards him. I learned a lot about patience from living in Finland. Close to 6-months passed before my quiet friend, 'came out'. However, I didn't understand that in South Korea, "coming out," is a term used by North Korean defectors telling a person about their original origin for the first time. His story was the most incredibly sad one I believe could ever be told. He explained how he was raised from birth in an opulent villa with a promenade leading to North Korea's, Palace of The Gods. From childhood until "rebirth," he was brainwashed into believing the current God on earth had chosen him to be an ascended servant. On the date of Rīn's rebirth, he was taken to the palace, cleansed, and left alone inside a small private room. Shortly after, Rīn, was greeted by a man who meticulously taught him what his purpose for God would be. After which, Rīn, witnessed the man commit ritual suicide. Finally, Rīn, understood his life's purpose! Everyone in the world understood their Dear Leader and God, Kim Jung-ill, never had bowel movements, because a God doesn't have an anus to shit from. My friend, Rīn. Spent 14yrs wiping Kim Jung-ill's rectum and anus as clean as a whistle. We never made love due to the trauma he escaped. Thank you, Gay Korean, for reminding me of my lost love.

To explain where we are as a country, the world; its clear we need to wake up and I'm happy to hear that lesson from Al. I would love to watch the news for a day with Mr. Jorgensen, jam some music and go to a hockey game.

    Al is a cool guy and all, but he is very mislead when it comes to politics. I would take anything he said as fact, because when you know more about what he's talking about, it becomes more clear that he doesnt have all the info that it takes to make such claims. MY biggest issues with what he said is that voting for a system where your vote doesnt count is usless. He says that the system is a sham, then sayd go and vote. Doesnt make sense Al. Also he makes it seem like the left/liberals are all about education and the right isnt. If what the left is pumping out of schools and Colleges is education, Then I am Elvis Presley.

    Underneath all that stuff, Uncle Al is still a very handsome man!! He is a divine pleasure to listen to....Al certainly lends new meaning to the old adage: “Don’t judge a book by its cover”. Cuz he is uniquely intelligent and quite the articulate philosopher...I seriously believe Alejandro Ramirez Jourgensen could potentially be an excellent commander and chief. Maybe when he retires in like 8 or 10 years, he can take a gander at running...I would definitely vote for Al Jourgensen to be our next president or when he’s ready after he retires the greatest band in the world MINISTRY....Next Project must be Revco, Lard & another Surgical Meth Machine!!!

      Yes he was... Al is no more awake than the people hes often in protest of... The problem is rabid statism... What political party is painted as the face of said statism is irrelevant... Check out Mark Passio and his band The Founders sometime. You might like them. For high quality audio files you will have to go to his site though. Google The Founders Band....

      @Potwheelz Why was Obama bad? Hmmm... Lets see.... Trying to disarm American citizens. Passing NDAA (originally called Patriot Act Part 2). Bombing multiple countries without congressional approval. Fast and furious program. Execution of a US citizen via a predator drone. NSA spying. I can go on.... Am i still coping out?

    • @mysocalledknife07

      @Potwheelz Americans need to be disarmed so the mass murderers working for the state can what? Murder more people?
      Have the military put their guns down first. Then we can discuss disarming the American people.

    • @ClayMationNation
      @ClayMationNation 5 років тому +3

      @Potwheelz What was corrupt about Obama? Ahem *Clears Throat* lemme see, where do I start? Let's start with the fact that he had a kill list which allowed him to use drones to target innocent civilians both foreign AND domestic, without trial or judgement? A Plan which he executed for most of the latter half of his presidency! Want more? P.S I love how you liberals conveniently ignore all your politicians bad selling points! I'm not a Trump lover either. But this BS that one is more or less corrupt than the other is incredibly shallow polar political blindness.
